RoundCube developers, users and list lurkers, the machine running the RC mailing lists and archive has just been down for a little over 24 hours. This happened after what was supposed to be routine 10 minutes downtime while moving to out new server-room. Needles to say, things didn't go as planed. Apparently the Linux ext3 file system does not handle large folders all that well, and I had one with at least a million files in it. This pissed off fsck.ext3 to the point where it started to move these files to lost+found. Long story short, I no longer trust that machine (or any machine with an ext3 file system on it) to do any important work, and one of it's most important tasks is the RC mailing lists and archive. So; as I don't really have the time to do mailing list maintenances these days, I'd like to ask for someone to take over the running/hosting of our lists. The 3 lists require very little resources to run. Some stats: announce(a)lists.roundcube.net: - 1958 subscribers - 1 to 2 messages/month dev(a)lists.roundcube.net: - 629 subscribers - 5 to 15 messages/day users(a)lists.roundcube.net: - 474 subscribers - 3 to 10 messages/day Anyone interested please get back to me as soon as possible. Please also include a short introduction detailing your experience with e-mail systems in general and mailing lists in particular. Trac Spam

Hi All!!! I'm not sure who maintains the trac site, or who maintains the server that roundcube is on; however, if you can use Mod_Security from www.modescurity.org I'd suggest it. As of today, there's a project called "ScallyWack" which is a set of rules for mod_security that is for Trac Spam ;) Something worth looking into. http://www.modsecurity.org/blog/archives/2007/06/scalywack_modse.html There seems to be a small pitfall. I'm trying to get SVN working on my server with mod_security installed, but hitting a few bumps with it catching the PROP* and other REQUEST_METHODs. Not sure if it's my mod_security config, or I'm just not noticing something. Anyway.... it's just a suggestion so we can get our Trac back!! ~Brett

100% CPU

Hello, We're experiencing high CPU loads on our mail server, all caused by Roundcube processes. Anyone else experiencing problems like this? Thank you.

Patch to indicate RSS support to the browser & multiple accounts support

I noticed that although RSS support has been added to RoundCube there isn't any link to it. Could some-one please commit the patch below? This is also a notification that I will probably be working on supporting multiple accounts in RoundCube somewhere in the near future. It would be great if anyone has some pointers on how to start. 'session' table character set shoud be UTF-8 at MySQL 5

Hello. This is my first post to this mailling list. My name is Yoshikazu, I'm Japanese. I found some problems for multi-bytes character enviroment like Japanese. One problem may happened only with MySQL 5. If an attached file name contains multi-bytes character in UTF-8, that file name will covert to question mark. (ex. "????????????.jpg") This is caused by that 'session' table character set was ASCII. MySQL 5 convert UTF-8 session.vars to ASCII when the attached file name was stored in session. So, I think 'session' table character set shoud be UTF-8. I have already succeeded.
