I am inclined to agree with Michael on this. The timing of this offer is very interesting. Roundcube is very close to an excellent beta 2 and full release cannot be more than six months away. @mail is doing this on purely commercial grounds (nothing wrong with that) but it would be sad to see such a good Open Source project disappear as it surely would. However, I would like to understand what would happen to the source code if Thomas should decide to sell. Who actually owns the code given that at least a dozen people have contributed? Is it the case that the code will remain open even after he sells it and therefore couldn't anyone else start a new project from what exists already? Call me an FOSS radical, but this offer violates my principles. Not that I have a lot to say, being new here, but still. I'd very much like roundcube to stay completely free as in speech. BincIMAP Search Patch

Is there anyone else around that is currently using BincIMAP? I have a BincIMAP server I'm forced to deal with in one setup, and the search feature fails in the default configuration, because BincIMAP doesn't understand UTF-8 and chokes when RoundCube sends the search query with UTF-8 specified as the charset. I have a patch that fixes this for me, but I'm sure it could use some more testing/comments/whatever. The ticket for this is #1483855 The patch is on the ticket: http://trac.roundcube.net/trac.cgi/attachment/ticket/1483855/bincimap_searc… Basically, if the search fails the first time it retries the search without a charset specified. Assuming I read the code right, this should only happen with a server error, not just an empty message set. (Another pair of eyes might help verify that...) Thanks, Jim

Hi everybody I finally made it to go through the most tickets and assigned a set of bugs that IMO need to be fixed for the next milestone. There are now 16 pending tickets assigned to milestone 0.1beta2: http://trac.roundcube.net/trac.cgi/query?status=new&status=assigned&status=… It looks like I will have some time again to work on the project for the next couple of weeks. Let's try to get rid of those 16 tix and we're ready to publish a new release. This will also be the first release that is "planned" with the Trac system and a proof of success of that platform. Absolute URLs not working

After checking out of SVN today on build 280 with absolute URLs implemented, quite a few links don't work. Tested in Opera 9, Ubuntu 6.06, Linux 2.6.15, using SVN checkout 280 (as of today). When clicking 'Log out' I receive the following error (on URL ?_task=logout): SERVICE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE! Error No. 1f4) Logs produce this line: PHP Error: Error loading template for 'logout' in /var/www/html/roundcubemail/program/include/main.inc on line 1129 My session is not terminated after this, i.e. it's impossible to log out. Furthermore, when hitting 'Preferences' I'm only able to view the main settings. Clicking 'Folders' and 'Identities' only changes the address of the page from ?_task=settings to ?_task=settings# Unless others report that build 280 is working fine in this respect, I'll file a bug report. If it works for others, please let me know, so that I can investigate further on my own server. Furthermore, the 'Send now' button doesn't work, and the 'Send email now' and 'Cancel buttons at the bottom of the Compose window don't work. (I had to send this email from Evolution, since my RC is currently not working). Best regards, Steffen

I think this is my first post on this list, but I've been lurking for some time now. My question is, how can I have an external login for logging into roundcube? I noticed there is some kind of hash in the url when logging in, how can I reproduce this? ~Rob

OK, I'm seeing to much of this error messages, and they are not related to the config files main.inc.php or db.inc.php. Some script has a new line at the end, after the closing "?>". Sieve filtering for Roundcube

I wanted to see if there has been any progress towards server-side filtering support (read: Sieve/timsieved) within Roundcube. If nobody else has taken on this project, I wouldn't mind working on "porting" the functionality in Horde's Ingo over to Roundcube. I have not done much with PHP, but I'm a highly skilled Perl programmer. I have been known to submit PHP patches to various projects (PostfixAdmin, BASE) in the past, so I feel I'd be up to it. Problem with

I just wanted to mention that there seems to be something wrong with the roundcubemail-cvs-20060505 build currently available on the sourceforge site. The entire message list blanks out and the apache2 logs get the old PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent in Unknown on line 0 error message. I have tried with a few fresh copies, same results. roundcubemail- cvs-20060413 works fine, as does today's trunk. Incidentally, I got the trunk by using wget -m https://svn.roundcube.net/trunk/ It seems to work fine. Is something totally bunk about that method? -- Mark Edwards
