Session is invalid or expired

Hello, I have been trying to set up roundcube, and am still unable to log in. I went through the install procedure, and everything seemed to be ok. The first time I tried to log in it had a failure because I didn't enter my whole username (username(a)domain.com). The second time I tried to log in, there was a db error, as I didnt chmod the db file. Now whenever I log in it gives me an error "session is invalid or expired", and I am a bit stuck. I checked my cookies and can see the cookie that roundcube sets, so cookies are working. I tried restarting my webserver, restarting my browser, deleting the cookie and trying again, etc. I get the sameerror every time. I even tried to do it from opera even though you dont mention roundcube would support opera - same error. I'm sure it's a simple thing, but I can't figure it out on my own. Other php scripts work fine, and save my session ok. I'm wondering, could this be a problem to do with php5? Relevant stuffs: roundcube1021 apache2.0.54 php5.05 gentoo linux

If they are "virtual" users then the host would be the same for every user and there would be no need to alter the name of the IMAP machine for each user. Adam -----Original Message----- From: S. Hi, If I want to change the login so it has a default Host, which template should I hack? Is there a global setting to do this? Thanks ~J

Cookie Problem - Followup

Bizarre Login Screen presented (\"\)

Hello, I'm having a very bizarre problem. I have checked and rechecked everything but for some reason I cannot get the page to get a proper login screen. As it's hard to explain, please checkout: http://www.mail.ac/webmail/ The Roundcube image contains some extra %5C% (commonly ASCII \) %5C%22skins/default/images/roundcube_logo.png%5C%22 and is not visible. Cookie Problem

Hi, I have been trying to log into this webmail client, with no luck so far (I have it installed locally on my XP bow, with Apache2, php5, and mysql). Now, the application is complaining that my browser does not accept cookies. Strange why it is doing this, because it was working fine earlier and I didn't change any browser setting. I have lowered all of my security setting in Internet Exploiter (to the absolute lowest) but it still complains (I know I am allowing cookies, because I can see cookies that have been set and I can access other sites that use cookies). Hello again! Looks like I can use SMTP, but only if I provide my main username/password, %u and %p give this error. SMTP Error in /usr/home/deb1260/domains/remmelt.com/public_html/roundcubemail/program/steps/mail/sendmail.inc (183): SMTP error: Failed to send data I'll describe my situation: I have a hosting account with a regular commercial provider (antagonist.nl). The provider enabled php's safe mode on its servers. My main login name there is deb12xx. This user has an emailaddress (the main or mother email) that I redirected to my regular address: remmelt(a)remmelt.com. The deb12xx name is what I use when I ftp into my account. This user, when logged in to rcmail set to smtp with %u and %p as user/pass can send email. The account comes with a couple of free pop boxes (not aliases), all of which can log in to rcmail using the entire email address as username. These users however can not send email through smtp, probably because they're not os-level users as well, just email accounts inside my virtual host. The mail() function works, but because of safemode restrictions only without the 5th parameter, so the return-path is not set correctly: it's always deb12xx(a)remmelt.com. The only resolution is to hardcode deb12xx with my main password in the main.inc.php, something I'd rather not do. I have checked, it works, but I wouldn't call it safe. When I log in with the remmelt(a)remmelt.com address as username (ie one of the free pop boxes) into squirrelmail, all is fine. I can send mail (obviously) and the return-path is set correctly, so I'm using that to send to the list. It might be that squirrelmail is using sendmail to send, but I can't check that at the moment. A workaround for this problem is to set the free pop box password(s) to the same as the deb12xx pw, so I could hardcode the username in main.inc.php and use %p as password. This works, but it's hardly feasible because now I have to give my main password out to anyone who uses the system. So far that's only me, but still. Thanks again, Remmelt

Cannot send messages to this list from RCmail

Hey! I've set both From: and Reply-to: addresses to my own emailaddress in RCmail's options but headers that are sent out contain Return-Path: which is set to my virtual host's mother email address (hostingaccount-username(a)domain.tld). This listsoftware looks at the return-path rather than from or reply-to, which means I can't send messages to the list directly. This is tested. I can send messages through squirrelmail, though. I must add that I have disabled the 5th parameter for php's mail() function because it is not allowed in safe mode. My virtual host is safemoded and I can't change that. Apart from the above bug, sending and receiving works fine. I can't verify if the Return-Path: is set to the motheremailaddress for none-safemode hosts with the stock mail()+5th param. Could the listmoderator please let my previous message through? It was sent about half an hour ago and contains a patch and my introduction to the list and some bugs! Thanks! Remmelt

Hi, I am trying to get this webmail client up and running on an XP box (that is probably my first problem). Apache2 is talking to php5, which is talking to mysql. I built the database and tables and set the user permissions. Note that I had to change 2 tables, in order for some sql calls to work (when logging in). I changed the identities table and the users table. In the identities table, I removed NOT NULL from the preferences column. In the users table, I removed the NOT NULL from the signature column. Now, the index.php page comes up and I provide a username and password and a server (not sure if this is the exchange server, or the SMTP server, I have tried both [by IP and by nodename]). And then when I click the login button, it churns for 120 seconds and then the following error is thrown: Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\roundcube\program\lib\imap.inc on line 104 Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
