SQL error with large attachments

I've just installed Roundcube and I am very impressed. But I have noticed one very annoying bug. Whenever I try to open an email message with a large attachment (over ~1Mb) a get a bunch of SQL errors. The text of the message opens fine, but the attachment tries to open as unencoded garbled text. The SQL error messages I get are: DB Error in .../mail/program/include/rcube_db.inc (129): DB Error: unknown error DB Error in .../mail/program/include/rcube_db.inc (204): DB Error: unknown error Query: (created, user_id, session_id, cache_key, data) VALUES (NOW(), ...[and the rest of the message text ...] Is there an easy fix for this, or is it something to do with a SQL limitation? I'm using v0.1-20051021 j.

Feature question - .sig file and new mail notification

Good morning! I just installed Round Cube on my personal mail server two days ago, and already I'm enfatuated with it. Comparing it to the Squirrelmail installation that I've used for the last few years is like night and day, and I have to offer my compliments and my thanks to the people who have written it. There are a few features that I miss, though; specifically automagically including my .sig file and checking the server for new messages periodically. I see that both of these are included in the road map on the web site, but being the impatient soul that I am, I want them now. ;-) Is anyone currently working on either of these features? If not, I would be more than happy to step up and contribute them myself. If no one has objections to me adding these, is there an existing spec for the features, a coding standards doc, etc? Favicon?

Hi all, I think it would be nice to have a default favicon.ico for roundcube. So it's easily to find in ones bookmarks. I'm not good in doing anything grafical, so it would be nice if someone could create it from the RC symbol... I'd be very thankful :-) Thanks, stephan

The main problem was to have the "compose-cc" area be visible when there is something in it. I solved this using a global variable (in $GLOBALS), but there might be a better solution

Persistent imap?

Hi, There might be different solutions to this problem I had ... The first idea that came to mind is on the subject line, and that may or may not make any sense, but it's there now. The problem is that operations like getting refreshing the inbox contents take some (a longish) time, and they take that same time every time the operation is made. When comparing to Gmail for example, refreshing the inbox is a quick operation. Also viewing an email, ie. retrieving the email from the server seems to take some time but that's more understandable I guess. Anyway, is this observed by others and is this a known problem, are there any plans to make folder operations faster? I saw that there were plans to make some more caching into Roundcube, is it part of the solution? Just to inform myself, is there such a thing that a persistent imap connection and would that help? I took a quick look and the script seems to call iil_Connect() every time the script is run and on the surface it seemed a bit expensive operation? Thanks, Ilkka

GMail and Extra Linefeeds

For some reason, GMail is adding extra linefeeds to the mail headers of messages sent from RoundCube, which really throws mail clients for a loop. Installation problems on Solaris

Hello, I'm having the following error after install RoundCube v0.1-20051021 on my Solaris box, with PHP 5.0.4, when accessing with the browser: DB Error in /var/www/roundcube/program/include/rcube_db.inc (63): DB Error: connect failed Object id #4 Fatal error: Call to undefined method DB_Error::query() in /var/www/roundcube/program/include/rcube_db.inc on line 125 Does anyone have an ideia what is going on? :( Everything is configured by default excep of course MySQL parameters in the config directory. Thanks
