magic_quotes problem

Hi, What do you think about that : function getPOST($name) { global $_POST; if(is_set($_POST[$name])) { if(get_magic_quotes_gpc () == 1) return *stripslashes(*$_POST[$name]); else return $_POST[$name]; } return null; } same thing for $_GET we only need to change all $_GET and $_POST. I think it's more easy than playing with .htaccess or php.ini. If you agree, I'll do it tonight. David

right click context menus?

Hello List, i think the behaviour of the list of mails is a bit confusing, a single click on a sender should not immediately compose a message. At least it's not what i would expect being used to thunderbird. Maybe outlook users experience that differently? Wouldn't it be better to introduce a contextmenu on a right click? This is just a suggestion, maybe even one which could make it on the roadmap? ;-) Kind regards Florian Sperber

Strange Timeout Behavior

I've seen several reports on this list of timeout errors with large emails. I'm getting a timeout -- or at least some kind of 'hang' -- every time I send an email. Client-side is running Debian sid, Firefox 1.5.0.1, although I also got the same result with Opera 8.5. The email actually goes through fine, but the "Loading..." translucent box never disappears, nor does the browser ever reload to the message page after sending. Any ideas what might be happening? Highlighting text in Internet Explorer

I recently received a bug report from one of our users saying that it is impossible to select text from an email message in Internet Explorer, because it selects half of the text on the page, including the folders and a few other things. I have verified that this is the case with Internet Explorer, but not in Firefox. Is this because of a bug in Internet Explorer, or Roundcube? Should I tell my user to switch to Firefox, or should I submit this bug to the Roundcube bug tracker? --Jacob Brunson Department of Chemistry, BYU

Translation bug

I discover a bug involving translation files: When the variable: $labels[\'compact\'] is provided in the tranlation file labels.inc then the following $labels[\'empty\'] and his link are not displayed anymore Please could you correct this ? Thanx a lot. PH.

open_basedir restriction

Hello all, I had a minor problem today after I switched our roundcube to a different virtual server. That one had the the open_basedir restriction active which led to the following error when uploading attachments: PHP Warning: copy(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/tmp/phpGk2plC) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/.../htdocs/) in /home/.../htdocs/program/steps/mail/upload.inc on line 42 ./program/steps/mail/upload.inc: if (copy($filepath, $tmpfname)) I wonder if it would be possible to use move_uploaded_file() instead of copy() as this only restricts the destination directory? It is also more secure, because only uploaded files can be moved... Balu
