Roundcube webmail 1.7 beta released

The development team is pleased to announce the beta release for the next major version 1.7 of Roundcube webmail. With this milestone we introduce a few breaking changes, some new features, and bring full support for PHP 8.4. Some noteworthy changes are: * Make public_html/ mandatory as entry-point for HTTP daemons, protecting all installations better. * Improve support for OAuth2 (e.g. supporting OpenID Connect discovery URLs). * A Mouse-over menu on the messages list with quick action icons. * Advanced mail search syntax with more possibilities – you can now use e.g. is:unread to only match unread messages. The test file has a list of implemented keywords. * Message parts of content-type text/markdown are now rendered to HTML (if they are designated for showing). * Add a 'php' logging driver, which passes all log statements to PHP's error_log handler, allowing to unify all log output. * Requires PHP v8.1 or newer. Breaking Changes: * Dropped support for PHP < 8.1. * Removed support for MS SQL Server and Oracle (#7854) * Make public_html/ entry-point mandatory, all static resources are served via static.php (#9294, #8851) * Removed apc cache driver (replaced by apcu cache driver). * Change 'smtp_log' option default value to False For full details and downloads please see <https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail/releases/tag/1.7-beta>. This is a beta release and we recommend to test it on a separate environment. Migrate existing configs with either the installto.sh or the update.sh scripts. Storing signatures and address book contacts in IMAP folders

Hello and greetings from Peru One of the problems when migrating servers using tools like IMAPSync (which greatly simplifies the task) is that you lose the information of the signatures configured in the webmail and the contactsfrom the address book, so I wondered why not save such information in IMAP folders under a standard format? In this way different mail servers could interoperate. Is there any plan to create a feature like that that? Kind regards, Alejandro Lengua

Security updates 1.5.10 and 1.6.11 released

We just published security updates to the 1.6 and 1.5 LTS versions of Roundcube Webmail. They both contain a fix for recently reported security vulnerability. Security fixes: - Fix Post-Auth RCE via PHP Object Deserialization reported by firs0v. I am trying to figure what entails form @me.com and @Mac.com account bounce. I have website content-magazine.com hosted by WP engine, my email web login has this url say it is https://content-magazine.com:2096/cpsess7677983603/3rdparty/roundcube Channel doe into iso thy email though their logo is on the login in page. Update 1.6.10 released

Hi I am trying to develop a readonly addressbook plugin that provides a addressbook for each *.vcard file in a directory I am stuck on a couple of issues. My code is at https://pastebin.com/THFn7xi8 1, When I click a contact in the address book I only see Name and email even though get_record and get_result return a full contact with multiple fields field out. 2, In the To field on composing a mail with other address bool the groups show up so I can send to an entire group. Which my plugin groups does not show. I am not sure how the following need implementing public function get_record_groups($id) public function set_group($gid) public function create_group($name) public function delete_group($gid) public function rename_group($gid, $newname, &$newid) public function add_to_group($group_id, $ids) public function remove_from_group($group_id, $ids) 3, Finally when is #[Override] public function set_search_set($filter) ever called ? Are there up to date docs ? Thanks for any guidance.

Updates 1.5.9 and 1.6.9 released

These are immediate service releases to fix regressions introduced in the most recent security updates. Both releases contain two following fixes: - Fix regression where printing/scaling/rotating image attachments was broken (#9571) - Fix regression where HTML messages were displayed unstyled (#9586) These releases are considered stable and we recommend to update all productive installations of Roundcube with these. We just published security updates to the 1.6 and 1.5 LTS versions of Roundcube Webmail. They both contain fixes for recently reported security vulnerabilities. - Fix cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in handling SVG animate attributes. Credits for this finding to Valentin T. and Lutz Wolf of CrowdStrike. - Fix cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in handling list columns from user preferences. Credits for this finding to Huy Nguyễn Phạm Nhật. - Fix command injection via crafted im_convert_path/im_identify_path on Windows. Credits for this finding to Huy Nguyễn Phạm Nhật.
