Integrated spelling - how to get results?

Hello folks. I'm handling the Danish translations and just learned of this this so I thought I'd join in. RoundCube 0.1beta2 is up and running great (with Danish translations and all), but no matter how badly I misspell words and try to check them for correctness, RoundCube always ends up saying that there were no errors. This happens with both Danish and English text and the language chosen appropriately from the menu. I assume the actual POST of the textarea is a client event? I didn't have HTTPS out allowed on the server but even when I do, it doesn't seem to work. There shouldn't be any blocks on my local machine, though... It is supposed to contact google.com as far as I can tell and that should now be allowed whether client or server-side. Anyone else seeing this? This is with Firefox 1.5.x. I tried the orange<whatsitsname> speller. That was in konqueror but it worked correctly.. Just tested that same page in Firefox, works fine... Ticket #1332930 (Feature Requests)

I believe this request would fit best under Ticket #1332930 (Feature Requests). I could really use additional information under the contact such as: multiple phone fields - home, work, cell, alt multiple email address fields - work, home, alt multiple street or mailing addresses - work, home, alt notes field I think it would work to have free text fields handling up to the standard 255 characters, and have a table of custom fields and allow the users to determine what details they want to be added for each contact. Maybe a template that could be designed... hmm... that's a bit overkill for now. So 2 phone numbers, 2 email addys, a street address, and a notes field would be awesome! Next topic... formatting / auto formatting On the add contact screen, the add should be before the cancel / clear button whatever it was. I've only been using roundcube for about an hour or so and I LOVE IT!!! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for... and have been searching for a month or so for. The first and last name fields should be moved to above the display name, and have the display name auto fill with the first and last name of the contact. Maybe in the future have this as an option for the users to determine what format they want the display name to be in. Thanks and keep up the GREAT work!!! Jonathan

SMTP (+auth) confusing issues...

Hiya, I've got a small problem, i'm using the beta, on a gentoo server, with php 5.1.1 ( with sockets ), and i setup round cube to use smtp as follows : $rcmail_config['smtp_server'] = 'smtp.myhost'; $rcmail_config['smtp_port'] = 25; $rcmail_config['smtp_user'] = '%u'; $rcmail_config['smtp_pass'] = '%p'; $rcmail_config['smtp_auth_type'] = ''; $rcmail_config['smtp_log'] = TRUE; ( of course with my real mail host. :) ) and i try send mail from roundcube, and well... it umm... just ... vanishes :P i sent a test message to test123(a)hotmail.com, just to create entries in my log file, unix01 webmailBeta # grep test123 /var/log/* unix01 webmailBeta # so, it's not falling back to mail() nor is it working with smtp : root@mx01:~# grep test123\(a)hotmail.com /var/log/mail.log root@mx01:~# root@mx02:/etc/postfix# grep test123\(a)hotmail.com /var/log/mail.log root@mx02:/etc/postfix# so i'm pretty much stumped, it appears in my imap folder, and it says it's sent, and in the logs directory i've got a sendmail log with the following line in it : [22-Mar-2006 13:51:48 +0200] User: 21 on 196.36.11.162; Message for test123(a)hotmail.com; Subject: (no subject) so, any ideas ? RoundCube Webmail Translation

We're about to release 0.1beta2 with some new features such as drafts saving, spell checking and message searching. Therefore, new texts have been added to the default (English language) and those now need to be translated. Getting this when trying to upgrade my database with the latest mysql.update.sql seems like they arn't doing proper overwriting of the db's? Anyone have a quick fix for this besides editing the entire sql file? Justin

folder display: nasty bug in svn-293

Updated dutch translation/ lost trac/svn password

Hi all, I've updated the dutch translation for the coming release. Only thing is I forgot my password for my svn/ trac account. Can someone reset it for me, because I can't find a passmailer link in trac and Thomas seems busy or overlooking my email.... the account name is mmoses. I've attached the updated translation files. on the subject of folders

I was looking around the folders code and discovered a minor bug. If you create a folder with a dot in it (like test.box) RC will display a folder called test with a box sub-folder. That is all as it should be. The problem is that it allows you to drag and drop messages into the phantom folder and displays it as if it were a real folder. When you drag into the folder the message appears to go away, and of course doesn't appear in the phantom folder. When you refresh the folder that you dragged the message from the message reappears (which is good - at least it isn't lost forever). What should happen is that the phantom folder should be greyed out, and undraggable (and probably unselectable). When you query IMAP for the folder list, it helpfully tags that folder as Noselect, but we don't do anything with that tag, or for that matter with any other tags (including such useful ones as HasChildren and HasNoChildren). I propose rewriting the folder getting routines to pass all of the tags through to the roundcube "layer" so that we can decide what to do about the presentation of these folders. This requires the modification of iil_C_ListSubscribed in lib/imap.inc as well as _list_mailboxes and list_mailboxes in rcube_imap, and the various functions that call those functions (about 6 or so). So my question is does anyone have any reservations about me going ahead with this, and does anyone anticipate any cross IMAP server problems? -Charles

New(?) Sorting Problem

I updated from SVN version 285 to 288, and in doing so I now have problems with the message sort order on BincIMAP. It's working fine on my Courier server. What happens is that the messages in the inbox are in random order, even though the "date" column header is highlighted. If it refreshes to check new mail and finds something, it does go at the top. However, once you reload the page the messages return to their previous order. The order doesn't correspond to any discernible pattern. If I move back and forth between pages, the messages stay in the same order. BincIMAP does not support server-side sorting, so the usual sort functions in Roundcube are disabled (column headers are not clickable.) Perhaps there needs to be an additional capability check that can default back to client-side sorting in this case? I really, really wish I didn't have to deal with BincIMAP, but I guess it does help to hunt down bugs in lesser-used code paths... Jim

Just to add to the fun of the current debate on sorting, I'd like to say that I'd _very_ much like to be able to a) choose whether the latest mails appear on top on on the bottom of the list (also for multi-page sorting) b) choose individual pages for large folder listings Additionally, there's a little glitch in the message view: When viewing a single message, the tooltip of the button that gets to the next message says "display next set of messages" (same for previous). Hi Charles, I saw that you changed the list structure of the mailbox list. Now the HTML does not validate anymore because ULs cannot be nested directly within ULs. It seems to solve the highlighting problem but I'm not sure if all browsers will still display it correctly. I've tried it out with Firefox 1.5, Safari and Opera and could not detect any problems so far. If it works, we can turn a blind eye but actually I'm not very happy with this solution. Alternatively we could apply all styles to the a-tag instead of the li. Any thoughts? Regards, Thomas

Return receipt checkbox/message overlaps Priority select box on Compose message
