Hello devs and list lurkers I'm very happy to give you a first preview of the all new skin for Roundcube webmail. It was created by FLINT, the very talented graphic designer who already designed our website. He worked hundreds of hours for free just to make Roundcube look good. jQuery UI plugin

Dear plugin developers We recently added the plugin named 'jqueryui' by Cor Bosman to the SVN repository and it will be shipped with future releases of Roundcube. In fact there are several plugins which actually use jQuery UI and the intent of this plugin is to load its resources only once and to maintain a streamlined UI which is in sync with the (default) Roundcube themes. In current trunk (and released in v0.6 soon) a plugin can require another plugin using the following line in the init() method: $this->require_plugin('jqueryui'); This will load the required plugin (if not already done) even if it's not listed in the config. We kindly request all plugin authors who embedded jquery UI in their plugins (or planned to do so) to rely on this official jquery UI plugin and to load it as mentioned above. minimum version requirements for plugins

Hi, As both the plugin API and the RC core evolve newer plugins might not work with older versions of RC. Putting this information in the readme or on the website with the plugin is the obvious answer but some people just ignore that and install the wrong version any way. Agreed that is their own fault and they should read the instructions but adding some kind of check into the API for compatible versions seems to be quite easy, using the version_compare function in PHP. I had a little play with it and the idea basically works. There are 2 considerations that I can see: 1) It's only a very basic check: "this plugin works with 0.5.2 and later" 2) The RC version string needs to be written in the "PHP-standardized" way. That means it has to be x-dev rather than x-svn and no x-stable just x.0 I'm not sure if this is a waste of time and people should just read instructions, may be it is. moving/copying contacts between address books

Hi all There has been some discussion coming up which I'd like to continue over here. Roundcube can have any number of address books (sources), mostly provided by plugins and LDAP configuration, which are all listed in the address book view. It's already possible to drag & drop one or more contacts from one source onto another which will result in a copy operation. Compared to the mail view this is not consistent because in mail context, dragging & dropping a message onto another folder will result in a move operation. Do you think the address book should behave the same as mail, meaning that the dropped contacts will be deleted in the source after copying to the new location succeeded? Of course this would only apply if the source is writeable. Your feedback is welcome! Compose button and drafts

And here's another topic to discuss. Imagine the following situation: 1. Create a message and save it as a draft 2. Go and see it in Drafts folder 3. Then remember you have to write an important message to somebody else 4. Hit on "Create a new message" button 5. Oops - the draft you're currently viewing is in the "compose new message" screen. This is the current behavior of Roundcube: in drafts folder, the compose button will open the currently selected draft instead of starting a new message. So far nobody complained but we have reports from testers who suggested to change this. An existing draft can be opened again with a double-click and in addition to that we could add a button "Edit" to the content area of the draft message. What do you think? Hi all, I need some help to modify the html content of messagelist columns. Basically it is easy by using jquery: $('#messagelist tbody tr td').each(function(){ var elem = $(this); elem.html('modified content'); }); Unfortunately I loose event bindings when doing that. I think there are modifications in app.js necessary (using jquery .live() for event binding?). When looking into app.js(.src) I'm lost due to my limited javascript skills. Any hints? catch imap connect failure

Hey all, I'm working on a plugin that handles One Time Passwords and Single Signon for our company. The OTP keys have a max session length, so people can't leave their windows open forever in a remote/untrusted location. This means that I am confronted with imap_connect failures when a key expires. And RC does not seem to handle that very well. Is there a way that I'm not seeing where one could gracefully handle imap_connect failures? Hello there :D I'm a new subscriber in the dev-mailing list, my name is Tilman Stremlau, I'm 17 years old and I use roundcube as my main mail-client since I try to get away from Google Mail. So my aim is to help developing the project and some plugins (my fist one is html5_notifier http://www.roundcubeforum.net/7-third-party-contributions/46-api-based-plug… ). There is a point I am not happy with: The implementation of the hook "new_messages". The hook is just fired, if a new mail arrived in the current opened mailbox. On my opinion is this very useless for plugins. It would be better if it is fired every time a new message arrives. Check if it's the current mailbox could be done in the plugin itself - if necessary. I could use html_checkbox::a(); to create a link and there are many unnecessary sprintf etc. If you want, I rewrite the complete class and send it as attachment to you. Support more priority headers

Hi list, unfortunately use Outlook not the X-PRIORITY header for the priority, it use IMPORTANCE with values like "high" or "low". SquirrelMail <http://squirrelmail.org/> use a nice function to convert this value to the numeric X-PRIORITY values. The code is of course also GPL. Diff: session cookie name configurable

Hi, sometimes people may need to adjust the name of the session cookie set by roundcube. The attached diff makes it a configurable option without changing the default 'roundcube_sessid'. Name of the "From" header in Roundcube

Hello everyone, in order to be RFC 5322 compliant, I've developped a plugin for Roundcube to allow users to set the "Sender" of outgoing mails (cf. RFC 5322 - Originator fields. http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5322#section-3.6.2). I didn't really noticed when I started using Roundcube but the default translation in the user interface for the "From" field is also "Sender". Is there a specific reason to this translation ? Patch to show priority message.

Hi community, I've search for patch or plugin to show priority message and i couldn't find it. So I developed it to use in my organization, but I must be edit core function code of Roundcube. Roundcube are have function to add priority on write message but no function to show it, I think it better if this function added in core function. I've attached patch file to add code as i've done. And image that show priority on inbox and in message header.
