Hi all, While discussing sauserprefs plugin with Phil question in subject raised. Personally I don't need that functionality in a RC core, but I need it in that plugin. Phil suggested to solve that problem in RC core first, and then expand solution to sauserprefs plugin. I see two options to achieve that: 1) Add one more configurable array, $hide_sections (or $show_sections). This is my preferred one and an easiest to implement. 2) Pre-generate all sections in turn when showing section list and show only non-empty ones. This one requires a bit of work. Opinions? [PATCH] Language list sorting

Hi, here is a patch to return languages array in an order specified by 'program/localization/index.inc'. Without this Russian is shown as a last element of a list while everybody expect it to be somewhere at 3/4. If using ksort on array, then Chinese localizations move down which is probably incorrect too, so I decided to keep order mentioned above. Alec, The check "$unseen != $old_unseen" in the new function rcmail_send_unread_count() created in r2959 prevents the call of the JS function set_unread_count_display() that inserts the message count in the title when a column in message list is sorted on inbox. Address book expansion patch, using VCard to store extra info

Hi, This is an updated version of a patch I post a while back. I know that expanded address book is on the roadmap for 0.5 but since I had this from before I thought I wouldn't hurt to update it. There are no changes to the database required. The patch adds a new date format to the config file but I am not certain if this is really needed, it's only used to display the contacts birthday. The patch also adds some new bits of text to the localisation for the new address book options. The VCard class and address book show/edit are modified to include: alt email address, home and business phone/cell phone, fax and address, birthday and notes. All this information is stored in the VCard in the database. The auto complete function is modified to include the alt email address from the VCard. I don't know if this would work as a plugin as it is modifying the address book rather than adding a new one but may be it is worth a try. I wanted to get the patch updated first and see what happened. Also as I said I know its not on the RC timeline immediately but it's a much requested feature on the forum and having a patch knocking around can't be a bad thing, if only to see how not to do it! jQuery error handler

Hi Dev's, Rarely an error is showed in browser with message "Server Error! (OK)". It's generated by jQuery error handler [1], but the "OK" is the 200 request status code. So, someone know why this error is generated? I don't know how to reproduce this error because it's too rarely here. We can avoid this error using a check like " if (errmsg && *request.status != '200'*) " but I think that the jQuery error handler should not return a 200 status anyway. The jQuery documentation says: "Note: Do not set handlers for complete, * error*, or success functions with this method (jQuery.ajaxSetup); use the global ajax events instead." Should we move the error handler to ajax events? Maybe it's related to the error handler returning a 200 status code. Sorting by message index

We need to implement sorting by message index. It should be simple on PHP side, but I don't know how to make sorting switch in UI. Currently we have sorting: - by <message list column> ascending - by <message list column> descending and we need: - by message index ascending - by message index descending So, 3-state switch in message list header (http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1485936) is not sufficient. Second option, use status column header for this is in my opinion not intuitive and we'll use probably this for different purposes in the future (e.g. column selection). I don't like also a third option, adding 'No.' column. 0.3 managesieve issue

So we have been running 0.2.2 just fine for awhile with the old pre- plugin managesieve code. I have just installed 0.3 and activated the managesieve plugin however when I go to to the filters tab in the settings it never comes back and just seems to be stuck loading. There are no logs generated and a tcpdump shows that the client starts the sieve session on the server w/ a starttls but then seems to stall. Is there anyway I can get roundcube to be much more verbose to what it is doing? I just turned off TLS and it seems to work just fine. The odd thing is that the previous non-plugin managesieve code did not have this issue so either their is a regression in it or its dependencies. I am using "Cyrus timsieved v2.2.12-Invoca-RPM-2.2.12-10.el4_8.1" for my sieve server". list_mailboxes plugin hook

Heya, I am writing a plugin that would filter out some folders from UW-IMAP folder list and I came across a bug (or a feature) for list_mailboxes plugin hook. If you use list_mailboxes plugin hook, it only gets called when list_mailboxes function is called, but not when list_unsubscribed() function is called (which is quite similar function). So, would it be better to add plugin hook to list_unsubscribed(() function as well, or leave the functionality as is. In my case: listing mailboxes in settings view works fine, but it is not working fine in the settings.folder tab. [PATCH] Junk flag icon in a message list (Thunderbird style)

Hi all, Here is another patch to message list. It adds column with Junk/NonJunk IMAP flag to a message list. Everything is done in a thunderbird-like manner. Known issues: 1) Hook needs to be added to "mark_as_junk"/"mark_as_non_junk" actions (report message to SpamAssassin, move it to a 'Junk' folder functionality, etc. should be moved to plugins). 2) Thunderbird actually uses two flags, "Junk" and "NonJunk". For now, message without any of these flags is shown as NonJunk (without any icon), but such message is not shown when one chooses an "Only Not Junk" filter. I'm unsure how to implement full support for two flags with only one icon (make it a three-state?). The only way to mark message as a NonJunk is to mark it as Junk before (in sieve or manually). 3) "Junk" and "NonJunk" are nonstandard user flags, but I hardcoded them into code for simplicity (as user flags handling is not done yet in a roundcube core). 4) I'm not aware of other MUA's, how do they mark messages. If it differs, then compatibility type should be introduced, and it should be made an user-definable option. 5) Icons are stolen from thunderbird and a bit crappy on a red background when message is selected. 6) This revision of patch applies only on a top of threaded view patch I sent in a previous e-mail. Actually, they touch code in a same places, and it is quite hard to keep changes in sync between thread-aware and unaware versions, so I work only with a former one. Current code works stable, but polishing is needed (I'm about IMAP flags). managesieve plugin

Hello list, Could you help me out with the managesieve plugin? This way I could contribute with some testing on my home box. ;) I have a standard Opensuse 11.0 with dovecot 1.0. I have built a new 1.2.5 dovecot from source, with dovecot-sieve and dovecot-managesieve. Everything looks fine. (The old 1.0 dovecot was installed, I use it's config and init scripts for the newer (1.2.5) one) dovecont.conf is soft-linked, the binary was changed in the init script, I think it should be enough... # ll /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 25 Sep 18 10:43 /usr/local/etc/dovecot.conf -> /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf # grep DOVECOT_BIN /etc/init.d/dovecot #DOVECOT_BIN=/usr/sbin/dovecot DOVECOT_BIN=/usr/local/sbin/dovecot This way I could config the managesieve plugin in roundcube to get to work, at least I can click some sieve rules on the web interface. But the filtering isn't working! I think the problem could be that the system uses postfix as LDA. Am I right? Or what could be the reason? I think on SuSE we should wait until the dovecot repo gets refreshed to at least 1.1 and we need sieve/managesieve support for the prebuilt binaries. Until then, the average user won't be using this long-awaited plugin on SuSE. :( My question is, could someone point me into the right direction, how could I debug my case and see what isn't working? CSS files

Hi all, Random noob question. Is there a reason why there's a CSS file for every HTML file? Is there some efficiency gained? I ask because for me, it makes theming a bit harder by in a way, duplicating styles (different IDs or class names, but essentially the same style applied). Would it be a problem to combine these when creating themes or is it best to keep them separate? Login plugin and default host

Hello, I'm writting a plugin for select host from user's login, so I have to not show the server box on login form. If I leave 'default_host' blank at main.inc.php the "Server" box appears, and if I put something on the config variable the plugin does not work, because default host takes precedence over the host selected by the plugin. Is there a way to hide "server" box on login form without assign a value to "default_host" or I have found a bug on default_host setting? I use qmail with vpopmail as mail-server. vpopmaild can be used to change password among other things. Using vpopmaild in a vpopmail enviroment, lets vpopmail take care of database backend. And vpopmail-server and webmail-server can be separated. I have attached a vpopmaild driver to use with the password plugin. 'vpopmaild.php'. It is based on vpoppassd.php! Also included are the new config.inc. Scenario: You want to send an e-mail and you need a way to confirm that your MAILSERVER delivered it successfull to the DESTINATION MAILSERVER. Many MTAs implement "Succesfull Delivery Report" (POSTFIX for example). Session control bug / Table field type

Hi Dev's, Any objection about using MEDIUMTEXT() instead TEXT field type in "vars" field of session table? TEXT type allow only 64KB session strings, but it can be larger under certain circumstances like big search results. In a search test (using search box) that returns 4k messages, my session string [1] exceeded the column's maximum length and the value is truncated. It broke the session system and send the user back to the login screen. Would you do this as a plugin or skin?

Hi all, I had a question. Switching from a horizontal to a vertical mailbox list (a three column layout), would you think this should be done through a plugin or through theme? I played with it when creating a theme but was thinking that maybe this would be better done through a plugin. - Aside from the obvious UI changes, to do this well one should really change how the message list table is displayed (since a narrower list doesn't make sense with the same table view). As far as I know, this is beyond what a skin can do. - In addition, switching the layout makes more sense to do it through Settings > Mailbox View > Main Options rather than by switching themes. - Lastly, this feature would then, in turn, be also available to any theme. Any thoughts? Would this make sense to be done through a plugin or do you think this is better left to skins? Thanks! PS: I'm not a programmer, so unfortunately I don't know how to do it myself. Hi all, I am migrating address book from horde to roundcube. I have a script called migrate.php to do the job. I would like to make a button (i.e. next to the 'export contacts in vCard format) that will execute the migrate.php. I have the button up, but it is disable. I add <roundcube:button command="importhorde" type="link" class="buttonPas importhorde" classAct="button importhorde" classSel="button importhorde" title="importhorde" content=" " /> to skins/templates/addressbook.html 1. How can I make the button enable to click ? 2. How can I make the script running when the button is clicked ? 3. How can I change the icon/images of the button ? German translation

Hi. I went through the (quite good) German translation and changed some strings to use even more common or correct words and phrases. In "de_DE.patch" you can see all changes I made. Maybe it's interesting for other Germans, so they can comment on it. Another small thing: It should be "Deutsch (Deutschland)" or simply "Deutsch" instead of "Deutsch (Deutsch)". Autocomplete limits and settings patch

Hi all, This patch against trunk increases the performance of autocomplete address book searches by only requesting MAXNUM (hardcoded to 15) results be returned by the backend contact providers (LDAP and SQL). This is in theory more efficient than fetching the full results list from all available backends and then pushing individual results into the return list until it hits MAXNUM contacts. It also adds a configurable tuning parameter - autocomplete_min_length. Searches of less than this length (in bytes) are ignored by the autocomplete provider. This could probably be moved to or duplicated in the ksearch_get_results JS function, but I have yet to familiarize myself with that bit of the codebase. I have backported this to 0.3-stable and tested it on our evaluation host that's pointed at a production LDAP server with 45k+ entries spread across multiple OUs, and it seems to work well.
