Hi! I try to use roundcube, but I found a little bug. If the username contain not only ASCII characters (from or to) it's not work correctily. The Mail mime version is buggy because it's created the From/To address like this: =?UTF-8?Q?.....<xxx(a)yyy.zz>?= Because it's incorrect. The mail end with >, and ?= is a new mail user name. So it's generate incorrect From/To header. I changed the mail mime class to the last released (tested with: v1.3.1 and the CVS version), and it's work correctily.... Cow

serbian translation

hi all, here is Serbian translation. I used existing Serbian as template, and modified it, please tell me if I missed something. Another thing - Serbian has two scripts - Latin and Cyrillic. Since Cyrillic is used everywhere as default (at least in linux translations...long story...), this is _real_ sr language. Existing sr translation you had was Latin one, and by some convention, it's named sr@Latn (at least in gnome/gtk and kde). If it's named only 'sr' that means that's Cyrillic by default. So I guess, you should change existing sr translation by modifying README and directory structure in it appropriately Greetings, Branko Kokanovic

Empty cache-control

All, I've noticed that RoundCube sends an empty "Cache-control: " header in the HTTP response when the "send_future_expire_header()" function is used. I read the HTTP 1.1 specification, and didn't see where an empty value was meaningful in this header. Does anyone know the intent behind this empty header, or what behavior might be expected? fixed message-list header

Hi folks, I've seen that the "folder" header in the folder list is fixed when we scroll down, but this is not the case with the messages list (Object, from, date, size ...). I'd have been glad to submit a patch, but after some tries, I never succeed in doing the way I wanted. I'm not really gifted when it comes about CSS, and I did not dare to modify the xhtml output, so that's just a suggestion. First, is anyone interested in this ? does anyone have an idea about how to do this ? :-) regards, -- Pierre

patches for private LDAP directory

Hello List, i have changed some parts of the current LDAP code in the nightly snapshot 20070108 to meet our needs. We have a company addressbook stored in LDAP for which we wanted to have access from RoundCube. The directory needs user credentials for access, so i added a bind_dn and bind_pass parameter to the code. I have also extended the search criterias with a "company" field. PHP scheduled jobs?

I am not terribly familiar with the lastest in PHP. One concept I am considering is a way to keep the state current on the server for the webmail user. Currently the PHP code is only run when there is a request, but it would be helpful to have something running on the server continually which can respond to events in real-time. Here is the idea. A user logs into the system and that updates a timestamp for their date of last activity. Each time the RC webmail client looks for new messages it would update this timestamp. The service running on the server would be away of active sessions and watch their related IMAP accounts for new activity. When a new message does arrive it can pull the summary data and place it into the MySQL database so that when the webmail client looks for an update it can just query the database and not MySQL. And when it does pull the updates from the server it will also just hit the database for the summary data and only use the IMAP server when pulling the full message. Has anyone seen PHP run on the server-side continually as a service? How would we go about implementing that? Also, what facilities would PHP have to monitor a directory of files for updates? Will it just have to poll the directories and files for the last update date? Two issues: sorting and preview pane

Second, I love the preview pane feature, but there are some minor issues I'd like corrected. First of all, it would be nice, if the preview pane wasn't filled if it doesn't need to, I mean, I don't wan't it to show a message if I: a) select a single message by ctrl+clicking it - I know it works when having at least one message selected already, but I'm talking about a single selection b) drag a message It matters to me mostly because of my extremely slow connection (yes, modems still exist) :) So here's a context patch, that accomplishes the above.
