Hi Thomas
I am working for the following two Swiss web hosting companies: Onlime Webhosting, http://www.onlime.ch Datenpark, http://www.datenpark.ch
At Onlime Webhosting, we are providing Roundcube already since
February 2007 to our customers. At Datenpark, we just started in
October 2009 as a replacement for Horde/IMP. The switch to Roundcube
should be done by the end of the year. ... so far without any
problems! Congrats to your great product!
I even wrote a import plugin for Horde/IMP user data such as Turba
address book entries & IMP identity. I can post the plugin if anybody
is interested.
RC usage statistics:
number of users: 200 average of concurrent users: 5 number of hosts serving RC: 1 (1 production + 1 testing instance) database backend software: MySQL 5.0.51 (Debian Lenny) IMAP backend software: Cyrus IMAPd 2.2.13 (Debian Lenny) Other webmail software which is offered as alternative: none
number of users: 3500
average of concurrent users: 30
number of hosts serving RC: 1 (1 production + 1 testing instance)
database backend software: MySQL 5.0.51 (Debian Lenny)
IMAP backend software: Cyrus IMAPd 2.2.13 (self-compiled/patched),
running on different server
Other webmail software which is offered as alternative: Horde/IMP
(replaced by RC by the end of the year)
And yep, I'm ready to share my experiences with others. Since the
integration of the 0.3 plugin architecture I am really enthusiastic
about this great piece of software!!!
Clapping my hands! RC definitely is the Swiss army knife webmail system.
Best Regards Philip Iezzi
P.S. The only thing my customers and I am really missing is: contact
groups. But hey, we can wait, don't hurry! Just keep up the good work.

Hi there
I'd like to get some facts and figures about how and where you
people use Roundcube and what number of users access their mails via Roundcube.
We already have a list of hosters who offer http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/RoundCube but this might not be
complete and it lacks any numbers. We often get requests about this topic and I'd like to give some
proven answers about the power of Roundcube when used in large-scale
environments. So please post some details about how you use Roundcube including:
- Number of users (max)
- Average of concurrent users
- Number of hosts serving Roundcube
- Database backend software
- IMAP backend software
- Other webmail software which is offered as alternative
Please also note if you would be willing to share your experience
about the integration of Roundcube in your environment with people who ask us
for help.Thanks a lot!
