True on both counts, but the same issue exists if you reply to a message in a thread (and aren't composing in a new window.) Not every user is savy enough to deal with or learn how to change their behavior to work around it.
They don't need to change their behaviour. But just their config in two places.
BTW: I wasn't familiar with the term "savy", googled it, and found in http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=savy:
"savy- a word used by those whom of which do not know how to spell savvy."
;-) I wasn't familiar wirh "savvy" as well, but at least I were able to find a meaningful translation with this correct spelling. No offense.
