I think your mail does not make any sense.
The server that is being connected to is configured in the database config file.
I just reinstalled roundcube to correct a problem our users have been having, and now there is an input requiring them to enter a server address. This is nuts.
Mail hosts are not configured in the database config file (the database host is something completely different). If you had set 'default_host' in config/main.inc.php before your update, you should to set it again afterwards. Other possibility is to use your old configuration files and update them as suggested in the UPGRADING instructions. Each parameter that was added since the last release is listed there.
Can there be a little more agreement among the maintainers and the people who actually use this software before you approve willy-nilly changes to the code??
No willy-nilly changes have been made on this topic. Yes, there have been some changes that might break the whole application but remember that you're using an alpha version which is under heavy development.
Please come up with some constructive posts on this list the next time!
