Does changing the code to the vector changes memory access architecture the way to use optimally SSD+HDD hard drives, scaling server?

Sorry - my coding is at the 'research effort' stage (i.e. buggy, not 
fit for prime time, and 'forks' the Roundcube base killing future 
upgrades) and even then it really is quite a lot of work.
