As I yesterday had this issue with a list message from Phil Weir (who does sometimes set a Reply-To header to the list plus his personal address) again:
I'm probably not aware of the latest stage in this regard, but wasn't there a poll a while ago (and an agreement afterwards), that a Reply-To header shouldn't be ignored anymore when replying to a list message by clicking the standard Reply button...?
The problem in this case is existence of Mail-Reply-To header which contains only one address. Designed behaviour.
Indeed, there is a Mail-Reply-To header with only one address. But who does set this header this way and how can the user avoid that? Apparently it does not match the user's intention.
On another issue: Checking the source of the relevant message in terms of Mail-Reply-To, I'm all of a sudden seeing this quite strange looking first line of the References header:
References: ""\"\\\"\\\\\\\"\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" 000101cf309c$1b1de850$5159b8f0$@tehinterweb.co.uk\\\" \\\"43e5bfed5578b08cc69aaeea9bde9958@mail.lesd.k12.or.us\\\\\\\" \\\\\\\"\\\" \\\"000101cf32c3$0d724d80$2856e880$@tehinterweb.co.uk\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" 3e7f4a1d7e3afbf2654a49ebfaf1a86e@mail.lesd.k12.or.us 5c50f10c2c1a4d433c95e9a97671cad1@mail.lesd.k12.or.us \\\\\\\" 000101cf3451$738e3a90$5aaaafb0$@tehinterweb.co.uk\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"\\\\\\\"\\\"
What the hell is this...?
