Hi,
In r3575 static functions were added to the password plugin for handling the processing of the username into local and domain parts. Before this was just done by splitting on the '@'. There are a few other plugins which use a similar feature. Would it be worth adding these functions to the core so all plugins can use the same ones?
I think it would be better from a user's point of view if they all behaved the same and a single set of functions in the core would be an easy way to do this.
