Hi folks First of all i'd like to say RC is the ebst webmail i've worked with til now. So, switching to it i needed to let my users the freedom of logging in only with the first part of their e-mail addy. It's not possible by default. Anyway after searching everywhere possible (less forums since they are not working at this moment) i got to look into the code myself. Therefore i decided to make use of a main.inc.php variable $rcmail_config['mail_domain']. So i changed index.php like this: [Line 148] Make this line: else if (isset($_POST['_user']) && isset($_POST['_pass']) && rcmail_login($_POST['_user'], $_POST['_pass'], $host)) to look like: else if (isset($_POST['_user']) && isset($_POST['_pass']) && rcmail_login($_POST['_user'].'@'.$CONFIG['mail_domain'], $_POST['_pass'], $host)) I hope it helps Andy

umlaut characters sometimes not properly displayed in Subject

Some emails with umlaut characters ( ä ö ü ß etc.) display only a question mark where the umlaut character should be. The same emails are properly displayed in Thunderbird, so maybe this is a RoundCube problem. Here is the header of such an email (some fields deleted). It should display "Löschfunktion" but only displays "L?schfunktion"

RoundCube does not work with shared folders

Our company is using an IMAP mail server with many shared folders (for example, all email going to info(a)mycompany.domain goes into a shared "info" folder which is visible to every employee). RoundCube displays only the private folders, not the shared folders. They are not listed in the "Folders" tab in the settings page. If you wish, I can set up a demo IMAP mail server having such shared folders to help you debugging this issue. change request: rearrange next / previous mail buttons in email window

Hi all, I have just installed RoundCube from svn and was using it for a few minutes. I was wondering why there were no next / previous message button in the email view window, only a fat green left arrow that takes me back to the email folder (I was assuming it meant "previous message"). After quite some time I discovered tiny next / previous buttons at the very bottom of the email window. This is rather counter-intuitive. The next / previous buttons should be in the top icon tool bar where all the other important stuff is. The buttons could be arranged like this: - a green left and right arrow: when clicked, these go to the previous and next email in the current folder - a green up arrow: when clicked, the current folder is displayed (same action as current left arrow) cheers, Arne

No Trash Folder

I am currently trying out Release 260 of the SVN. The problem is when a newly created user logs into rc, only inbox is shown (in beta all three folders got created by default). Now when a mail is sent, the Sent folder is created but when I try to delete a mail, it gives an error. Only after creating a folder manually am I able to delete any mail. Is this behaviour normal? Shouldn't the Trash folder also get created when a mail is to be deleted. Now I am not much familiar with php but afaik, there must be some code that is used in creating the folders that is used in the folders tab of the settings. Where is that code in the rc files and can I use that code to auto create these 3 folders for a new user ( I have a php script that creates a new user, I can put this code there). How to customize the taskbar?

Hello, I want my users to be able to send me a feedback (on the webmail) directly by clicking button in the taskbar. So I added a line into skins/MY_SKIN/includes/taskbar.html: <roundcube:button command="compose" label="feedback" class="button- feedback" /> into skins/MY_SKIN/common.css a.button-feedback { background-image: url(images/buttons/feedback.gif); } And it is sort of working now, but I would like to prefill an email adress and a subject on the composition page - is that possible to do through the file taskbar.html? integrating roundcube with amavisd-new clamav and dspam

i've finally got my roundcube working, sending and receiving mails from the internet, prior to installing roundcube, postfix has tls and sasl authentication and was integrated with dspam and clamav using amavisd-new, however when roundcube was installed as the webmail client, i can no longer see from the maillogs the mails being scanned before being sent and before accepting for delivery. is this normal? or roundcube totally bypass them? TIA

Hi All, I currently set various IMAP flags via my sieve script e.g. all mails sent directly to me are marked as "Personal". Thunderbird interprets this and colours any messages with this label. Are there any plans to implement this sort of feature in roundcube? i.e. a set of setable filters that check for a specific IMAP label and then colours the message a specific colour? This is different from IMAP flags which can only be on or off and which roundcube supports. I've searched the forum (and tried to search the list archive, how about a search on lists.roundcube.net?) but not found anything.
