roundcube and php 5.4.33: fgets(): SSL read operation timed out

Hi -- My setup: roundcube-1.0.2 + nginx-1.6.2 in a FreeBSD-10 jail. RC will connect to a recent dovecot server in another jail at the same host. Recently, after upgrading php from 5.4.32 to 5.4.33 roundcube will refuse to connect to dovecot: | roundcube: PHP Warning: fgets(): SSL read operation timed out in \ | /...path2rc.../roundcube/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_imap_generic.php on line 200 Recompiling every port involved and restarting both involved jails hasn't been successful. Only, reverting back to php 5.4.32 made RC work again. Is anyone running into this as well? Any idea how to debug this? Thanks and regards, Michael

hi, after upgrading vom rc 0.9.5 to 1.0.2 everything works fine for me but the search function does not. in some cases, the message list remains empty while the search result says "message 1 to 50 of 342". (see attachment) for example i want to search a sender by typing his "domain" or "domain.tld" of the email address, the message list is empty. when i search for "user(a)domain.tld", all search results are displayed in the message list. for other email addresses / domains / words ("gmail.com" for example), the search function works. same behaviour in both original themes. in rc 0.9.5 in all cases the same search works fine. i can't find any hint in the logfiles. any ideas? what kind of additional information do you need? regards stefan

Signature options

I am new to roundcube and having trouble setting up my signature. Have used 5 other eimail prgrams and never encontered this before. I see in "settings" I can select preferencesm I selct tghe section "composing messages"M I see main options with boxes I can chech and pull down menus. Below thgat is signature options but only one pulldown "automatically add signature" ( I selected 'always'. I checked the box saying "when replying remove original signature from message". That's it. There is no place for me to input what I want my signature to say. Any help would be appreciated. Not sure if's a roundcube problem or ISP problem. imap_highlight and raw_managesieve

Can't figure out how to use new Plugins installer system?

Hi, I'm migrating from an older roundcube and wanted to try the new system to install plugins. Obviously too stupid to work it out though... Resolved: Roundcube hangs on Sending/Saving

Hi, I recently ran into a problem which I'm documenting here in the hope it saves others some time (possibly also RC devs could be aware and consider logging a warning) The symptoms are that roundcube mostly works, but hangs with a Saving/Sending message at the bottom of the screen if you try and save/send. The browser is "frozen", in that you cannot click on other items on the page, and it's necessary to close the browser tab or do a full page reload to escape. The resolution was to remove security headers from my default nginx config: #add_header X-Frame-Options DENY; #add_header X-Content-Type-Options nosniff; I presume that the iframe option interferes with save/send process, hence why it breaks. I think it's not unreasonable, however, just documenting the problem here since it's a common option shown as a good default for a tightly secured webserver setup. Roundcube loadbalancing

Hey, I'm trying to have roundcube loadbalancing in 2 servers : fle.chunkz.net and ams.chunkz.net I'm using memcache to loadbalance the php sessions. I tried session_storage = php or session_storage = memcache. But none is working... I watch the cache on both servers with phpMemcachedAdmin it seems alright. But whenever it changes server for the client it says "session invalid or expired" thank you in advance, Regards, B. Caplet

RC upgrade from 0.95 to 1.0.2

Hi, I thought I should have another shot at upgrading from 0.95 to 1.0.2 ( some months ago I tried to 1.0.1 but rolled back because it failed) This time the runinstaller script gave me this error with a broken RC installation, so I have rolled back again. I'd be grateful if somebody could tell me what this error message meant: Running update script at target... Body of mails not displayed v1.0.2

People, I have two small mails from DLink - one of which contains base64 encoding but neither display the body of the mail in RCM but they both are readable with Mutt. I've looked at the headers etc and everything looks OK to me - is anyone motivated to look at them to work out what the problem is?
