Started the installer again and saw there where some dependencies for php7.3 missing not ok. Installed them and didn't need to install roundcube again. Hello! Today I upgraded from php 5.x to php 7.3 and removed php 5.x completly. Now I found I get a blank screen calling roundcube. I then added error_reporting(E_ALL); ini_set('display_errors', 'On'); and get Notice: Undefined index: env in /usr/share/roundcubemail/index.php on line 46 Notice: Undefined variable: rcmail_config in /usr/share/roundcubemail/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_config.php on line 325 Notice: Undefined offset: 2 in /usr/share/roundcubemail/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_charset.php on line 223 Is there a way to fix this? Should I install roundcube form scratch? -- Kind regards Andreas

Configure Enigma plugin with ie11 shows no output in window

Hello, I got enigma plugin going. I atempted via ie11 on win10 x64 to configure the enigma plugin. I went to settings, > preferences, > and atempted to access encryption. It showed a blank output window. I went in to chrome latest I believe did the same thing and got options I could configure. Is there a roundcube/ie11 issue with content display? A side note on chrome after setting the encryption and identity options I was able to generate and associate a gpg key with my account. Any info on the ie11 issue appreciated. Thanks. Dave.

list view

hello, Roundcube Webmail 1.4-rc1 here I've noticed that if I select list view in Inbox and then drag a thread [+thread] to another folder (not in list view) and then move messages back to Inbox the threading is lost. Meaning the messages are in a thread but click arrow bottom right and next message is outside the thread. Sorting after date

Hello! Using version 1.3.9 of Roundcube. When I change the sorting of email in a folder from ascending to descending or viseversa, email of different dates are shown. Is there a limit somewhere how many mail is shown depending on sorting? Kind regards Andreas

"Mark as junk" functionality

All the Email addresses disappeared out of the Contacts table!

People, I sent out an email three nights ago to two of my group lists and that worked fine. Since then I have been probably only replying to individual emails that came in and that has also been fine. Today I tried to send new emails and realised that the list of addresses is not appearing as I type in the "To:" field - and when I look at the contacts table with psql, I see all the email fields are now empty! How could this happen? I can recover most of the email addresses from backups and restore them but this is a fairly scary occurrence and I would like to work out what happened . . I have not had this happen ever before in all the years I have been using RCM . . I have had some issues on the workstation but the server has been stable . . (both are Fedora 30 x86_64). Changing password on first login?

Hello, I've got an email server setup all with virtual users. There only interaction with it will be via a webmail interface in this case roundcube. What I'm wanting to do is set up automatic password change on first login. The users already have the ability using the password plugin to change their password, I just want to make it mandatory so they'll know their passwords, I won't. Would this be considered a dovecot or a roundcube issue? Any solution appreciated. Thanks. Dave.

managesieve redux

enabled the managesieve plugin, and it shows up in the settings as “Filters”. When I login to an account (already has a active sieve file) and click on filters, I get: "An error occurred!Close Unable to connect to server.” The rest of roundcube seems to be working in terms of reading and replying to mail. Problems connecting to IMAP Server using SSL and Port 993

Hello When I connect using TLS Port 143 the connection to the IMAP Server Dovecot is ok. Hello I try to login from Roundcube to Dovecot IMAP and I get the following error message: Jun 1 14:05:59 chogolisa roundcube: IMAP Error: Login failed for zahn from 84.253.50.193. Empty startup greeting (chogolisa.akadia.com:993) in /usr/local/roundcubemail-1.0.12/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_imap.php on line 184 (POST /?_task=login?_task=login&_action=login) My configuration in config.inc.php for IMAP is as follows: $config['default_host'] = 'tls://chogolisa.akadia.com'; $config['default_port'] = 993; I can login without any problems with TLS from Thunderbird and any mobilphone! So I think it's a roundcube Problem. I can also send Mails from Roundcube to the Postfix Mailserver, without any Problems. $config['smtp_server'] = 'tls://chogolisa.akadia.com'; $config['smtp_port'] = 587; Can you help me for the "Empty startup greeting" message error. This is a very good point...one that can be addressed in its configuration. You see, it pays to do a little research prior to attempting to denigrate someone's contribution to the discussion. First of all, the password plugin is packaged WITH RCE...as in, in the tarball. Migration problem

Hello, I made a roundcube migration to another server with another ip address. I made a database backup via phpmyadmin and restored it to the new server. knowing that the old server contains a mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.1.73 database under redhat 6.8 and the new server contains mysql Ver 15.1 Distrib 5.5.60-MariaDB under redhat 7.6. The backup and restore procedure worked well. However I can not find the address book and the preferences of the user. Is there a migration and restoration procedure very specific to roundecube so that I find all the data or a support to my problem. Thank you verry much i need your support.

Moved the old email-stuff to a new server on CentOS, can connect with roundcube after copying the email-folders but get: [14-Apr-2019 19:48:14 UTC] PHP Warning: strtotime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to use the dat e.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected the timezone 'UTC' for now, but please set date.timezone to select your timezone. in /var/www/root/mailsystem/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube_session_db.php on line 104 Also the date of the copied emails are empty. Sending the original IP address to the IMAP server

Hello everyone, I would like to know if there is a way to configure RoundCube to send the original IP address to the IMAP server, using the ID command. This is used in Dovecot, to log the remote IP address where the client is connecting from. and not having the logs filled of connections from "127.0.0.1" Is it something supported by RoundCube? TRYING AGAIN: Replying to previously sent mail

People, I didn't get an answer to this a couple of months so . . trying again: I am currently on version: 1.4-beta but on previous versions, RCM was smart enough to know that when I would reply to a previously sent email in my Sent folder, that it knew the new reply should go to the original recipient and not back to myself - this behaviour has stopped in the last version or so - is there any way I can turn it back on? I am constantly sending out an email with a promise to follow up when I have more information about something and it is very convenient to just reply to the previous email . . and not get it sent to myself . . Problem with Managesieve

Hello, I'm having trouble making the Managesieve plugin work. I had several difficulties to install, I believe because I did not have much experience with Roundcube. Currently, the "create filter" option appears for my users, they create the filters based on their values, but when the email arrives it is not redirected to the folder in question. Example: We have a filter created for the following purpose: When you receive an email from admin01(a)gmail.com, move to the Gmail folder. The email is entering the inbox directly, instead of going to the box named Gmail. (existing box created through the Roundcube interface itself). How can I solve this problem? Thank you very much. Roundcube with webserver hiawatha

Hello! I don't know what went wrong but roundcube does not show the content of the mailfolders and most of the menuentries anymore. Checked all the settings of apache and tried older versions of roundube. Can't find out what causes the problems. Did a fresh install with a new database, no luck. So I am thinking about trying it with another webserver, for example hiwatha. My question is will roundcube run with hiawatha? login failing

My portal to roundcube abruptly went out of business leaving me what i thought was no means to view my webmail files. With some effort O/A 2 April, I found "intergate" which gave me the roundcube login page which I used and was able to view all files. The next day and since, using the same path, I am receiving "login failed" messages as if some administrator didn't like my access means and deleted my account. I need those files...who can I contact.

still having problem with webpage settings

hello, roundcube ( complete downloads installed on debian Buster ) worked for ages but for a while there is a problem that in the settings on the webpage if click on About the left hand window disappears and information about the release is in big window. If click Preferences, in left hand window there are options list "User interface" etc but if I click on one of them then I get the little hamster wheel for ever and there is nothing in the right hand window. Same with the other tabs. This started happening sometime ago perhaps after apt update. This happens with all the installs of roundcube that I have so likely it is something daft with the actual apache2 or the php mod. all of my sieve rules and folders I previously made work but I can't make new ones and emails are there but it hangs if try send a message. ( message is sent but it times out updating) all the checks with the installer webpage are OK. New install today rc1 I made all the files in roundcube directory owned root.www-data and only changed temp and logs to be writable by www-data and left all the other permissions as in the tar.gz file Any idea what basic bit of configuration, permission is required as I would like it to be back working properly? mick -- Key ID 4BFEBB31

I have the message_highlight bling and it works, but I (well, a friend of mine who is using my Roundcube install) would like for messages he's replied to to have a highlight color in addition to the reply arrow. He's elderly and his eyes aren't quite as good as he likes to think, so he won't wear his glasses! Anyway to do this? I have no issues with patching the roundcube code. Dear subscribers We just published a first release candidate for the next major version 1.4 which has now been in development for quite a while. Although the new responsive Elastic skin is now functional and feature complete, it still lacks the final brush-up to make it shine. We have now finally found a volunteer to work on this and once completed, a second release candidate will follow. For now you’re all invited to give the new 1.4 version another test run. Besides the responsive theme it comes with lots of new features and improvements since the beta release. Check the Changelog [1] for a complete list of changes. Please also try customizing the Elastic skin using the _styles.less and _variables.less files and let us know what’s missing. You’ll find guidance in the README.md file inside the skin folder. Because we don’t yet consider the Elastic theme fully complete, it’s not set to be the default theme. Highlighting messages

Since my attentions on roundcube currently, I decided to look into some plugs. One thing that I would like be able to do is highlight messages in the list so they get a color background, and I found a plugin to do this, cor/message-highlight but after installing it, I was unable to access the roundcube settings in the GUI (it would time out after a long period of loading any settings), so I removed it (everything is back to normal operation now). I don’t see anything else that might do this, however. There is a label plugin called weird-birds/thunderbird_labels but I don’t want labels, I want color highlighting. -- What we have here is a failure to communicate.

"An error occured! Server Error (OK)" non-descript error

Hi all, I am installing RoundCube, but am getting the non-descript error message "An error occured! Server Error! (OK)" after I login. Connecting to another server

I have a roundcube install which is humming along just fine, under a trivial load (nearly no one uses it, but that's not the point). I have a friend who has a mail account that he can access using Horde, but he really hates Horde and it is missing at least one feature that he really wants (Horde will not show if a message has an attachment in the message list without making a change server-side which he cannot do). So, question. o Can I configure my Roundcube so that he can enter his email and password and my Roundcube will see that's not an address on my server and instead connect to the other mail server as an IMAP client? (I have all the server info and ports and passwords and such) If not, I can setup a second roundcube install and point a different subdomain at it, but having just the one would be much better for me. If I do go the second roundcube route, I'd prefer to install it on my Synology instead of on my mail server, but I don't now how to install plugins on the sinology version of roundcube as I don't think I can install composer? Second, is there a way that I can add highlighting colors to the message list based on the sender address. He used to do this in Squirrelmail (his preferred webmail client, but that is not possible to run anymore). Replying to previously sent mail

People, I am currently on version: 1.4-beta but on previous versions, RCM was smart enough to know that when I would reply to a previously sent email in my Sent folder, that it knew the new reply should go to the original recipient and not back to myself - this behaviour has stopped in the last version or so - is there any way I can turn it back on? I am constantly sending out an email with a promise to follow up when I have more information about something and it is very convenient to just reply to the previous email . . and not get it sent to myself . . Using SHA256/512 for sql password format

For my new server, I am finally moving away from MD5 for the password format. This is going to be a clean build. I do not see anything in the roundcubemail config that needs to specify the format. It seems that this is dovecots job? The only area of change is in the password change plugin. In: https://kaworu.ch/blog/2016/04/20/strong-crypt-scheme-with-dovecot-postfixa… It seems the only change I need is: $config['password_crypt_hash'] = 'shaxxx'; Where xxx is either 256 or 512. All the other changes are to support a format migration. thanks

Two Roundcube errors

Hello, I've got two roundcube issues. The first is that my inbox shows I have 19853 messages, but later roundcube says that the mailbox is empty. After seeing this I hit the logout button to close out of roundcube, my browser is the latest google chrome and I got the below message: REQUEST CHECK FAILED For your protection, access to this resource is secured against CSRF. If you see this, you probably didn't log out before leaving the web application. Human interaction is now required to continue. The server is running Apache 2.4.38, Mysql 5.7.25, 7.3.2, with fcgi, and roundcube 1.3.8. The imap server is Dovecot 2.3.4. Suggestions welcome. Thanks. Dave.

The question is has the mysql database definitions changed between these versions? Can I simply copy the mysql database file from the old server to the new server? Any thing I should watch out for if I do this for migration? thanks

Plugin repository not working?

Hello! Looks like plugin repository is not working this year. All plugin updates starting from January are only visible in UI, no in JSON feed. And cannot be installed using composer. Just check latest JSON: https://plugins.roundcube.net/p/provider-latest$b35819e741aa804b3e3d7d86678… Only three plugins! It should contain mach more of them, updated January and February this year, including ident_switch. Can someone check it please?

Problems receiving emails

Hello, A few days ago I setup my Roundcube email on my iPhone, since then I receive all emails on my iPhone but only some of them appear on my Inbox folder when I open my email on my laptop! I did not provide that to the installer. I only provided the fqdn. The installer added the http:// I will remove that and try again. Well, now that I think about it. I may have done a cut and paste and picked up the http:// and just did not pay enough attention. This is more likely than the installer being wrong. Cutting and pasting is a good way to get things wrong... thanks for pointing out the obvious, Harald! As you may know, I often need a good jab with the obvious stick!

I am on page 3 of the Installer, testing out the STMP config (IMAP config works). I get the error: SMTP send: NOT OK(Connection failed: Failed to connect socket: Unable to find the socket transport "http" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP I am looking in my config.inc.php and I see: $config['smtp_server'] = 'http://klovia.htt-consult.com'; and I did: setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect on I also tried: setsebool -P httpd_can_sendmail on Still no SMTP send. Please point me to where to look for this. ================================== As a side, small issue, the spell checker pull down only offered: pspell, atd, or google. enchant was not in the list, but I see in the config.inc.php: // Set the spell checking engine. Hi. We periodically have problems with authentication in webmail - login is successful only with the second attempt. The problem occurs only when the login page is open a long time ago; if refresh it before entering, login is successful... Did anyone have the same problem? How can I fix this? cannot change settings in webpage

ALERT: dopey home user sorry to be a nuisance Is current Debian buster, dovecot, roundcube with enigma and managesieve plugins. Everything was working nicely 1.3.8 and then something went wrong. Since installed 1.4-beta. I was a bit confused because I read it that the "updateto" would update the downloaded 1.4-beta to the configuration from the previous install but updates instead the previous install. Anyway it is working now and installation page has the green ticks except I just get the unhappy document face in the right hand window in the "settings" tab. In the "settings/folders" tab all the folders are there but I get the unhappy document picture if I try to make a new folder. I can move emails about between folders in "mail". Likewise the "PGP keys"tab shows the keys I copied there by hand but there is no information in the right hand window. There is the text "rapunzel.home refused to connect". ufw is turned off. Is this likely an issue with Dovecot or something daft I haven't done in roundcube configuration ? ALERT: dopey home user sorry to be a nuisance Is current Debian buster, dovecot, roundcube with enigma and managesieve plugins. Everything was working nicely 1.3.8 and then something went wrong. Since installed 1.4-beta. I was a bit confused because I read it that the "updateto" would update the downloaded 1.4-beta to the configuration from the previous install but updates instead the previous install. Anyway it is working now and installation page has the green ticks except I just get the unhappy document face in the right hand window in the "settings" tab. In the "settings/folders" tab all the folders are there but I get the unhappy document picture if I try to make a new folder. I can move emails about between folders in "mail". Likewise the "PGP keys"tab shows the keys I copied there by hand but there is no information in the right hand window. There is the text "rapunzel.home refused to connect". ufw is turned off. Is this likely an issue with Dovecot or something daft I haven't done in roundcube configuration ? Could it be anything to do with SSL which I'm also having bother getting to work this time ? ubuntu 14.04, postfix/dovecot/mysql. using imap. Email will not list in any browser. I can manage folders and see the correct # of emails, change my preferences, etc. no meaningful errors logged. Please advise. Thank you!

Setting up RC 1.33 on linux. Test send/imap connect fine. When I login however no email or folders are listed whatsoever. problem with attachments

ALERT:- dopey home user. How do I tell which roundcube I'm using ? Everything is working except I get SERVICE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE! Error No. [600] if I try to open an email with attachments cups print server is on same PC as roundcubemail. I was fiddling with cups the other day on client and I'm certain all I did was typed "lpadmin <server> <printer>" on client in error of understanding purpose of lpadmin although it is possible I updated server with apt before this happened but may have been after. Relevant might be that apt suggested auto-remove for a few files which I did. I was using roundcubemail-1.3.8 Anyway PHP seemed to stop working, just showing text. apache error log showed. "[php7:error] [pid 5733] [client 10.0.0.101:53579] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found in /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.3.8/program/lib/Roundcube/html.php:357\nStack trace:\n#0" so I set about removing/installing with apt PHP modules roundcube webpage says are required. php-dom php-xml php-jason I forget exactly which. installed roundcubemail-1.4-beta-complete by running "updateto" using still there roundcubemail-1.3.5 directory there was an error in the install saying php-pspell wasn't installed so I got that with apt and tried the install script again where it says roundcube is already installed, up to date or something. In /usr/share/ I have the directories /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.3.5 /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.3.8 whereas I thought I might have /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.4-beta So the questions are how do I fix this 600 error ? how do I find out which roundcube I'm using ? does 1.4 beta install itself in 1.3.8 directory ? What bit of software looks after attachements or is this some configuration, I'm pretty certain that the attachments are only gpg signatures. Hallo zusammen, wir haben die aktuelle Version von Roundcube im Einsatz. Allerdings haben wir das Problem, dass der Anmeldename am Postfach nicht gleich der Mailadresse ist. Wir suchen nach einer Möglichkeit, dies anzupassen, weil die abgehenden Mails ebenfalls mit dem Anmeldenamen und der dazugehörigen Domain versendet werden. Die so zusammen gesetzte Mailadresse gibt es aber nicht. Wir haben versucht, diverse php Dateien anzupassen. Da das aber nicht Sinn und Zweck ist, frage ich in der Mailingliste, ob es nicht einfacher geht. Über eine Antwort würde ich mich sehr freuen. Viele Grüße Tino Kurth

Hello all. I'm just joining the list. I've browsed through the archives but I have a couple of questions. I just installed the 1.4 beta. We like the Elastic skin so we are planning to use it as a default for all my users.. I plan to keep it updated, but I have a couple of questions. * Is it possible to have a popup or a modal when a user first signs in -- Just a simple window with the TOS for the account with an OK, or Accept button, that lets you go on to the second window which lets you complete your Identity. * I noticed there are user levels. 1 - 4. 4 being default. how would I go about managing those on a per user, or per group basis? I want MOST users not to be able to modify their email address or their organization. * Using the elastic skin -- I noticed on the configs that I can put a logo on the main screen, in fact I was able to put a logo but it is stretched in an ugly way. What are the proper dimensions for my logo? Can I specify a different logo on the main mail page? I see the logo on the upper left corner of my screen, but it's just a part of the logo. I would like to specify a different one there. I have 3 specified on my array by looking at examples: one for '*' which points to a large logo, one for ':favicon', and one for ':small', but the :small one does not show on the upper left. it's part of the '*' one. * Is there a way to resize the center pane (or hide/minimize it) when needed? (for example, when an extraordinarily wide message, so that I don't have to scroll side to side too much) -- This would also need to be possible when redacting mail so that the Options and Attachments column does not get in the way. I tried it anyway, but unfortunately, it doesn't. It's fine with 1.3.7, with 1.3.8 I get a scrambled mobile view. Anyone knows why? Could it be a missing StyleSheet? What are we supposed to do when our users call in and say they're seeing the CSRF failure page? The error message says to contact the server administrator... For your protection, access to this resource is secured against CSRF. If you see this, you probably didn't log out before leaving the web application. Human interaction is now required to continue. Please contact your server-administrator. Is there a way to turn the CSRF protection off? Or at least a way to reset it when it goes stupid? I'm ready to human interaction.

People, I have 1,566 Maildir folders and I would like to script process deleted files once a day while they are still in their original dirs - but I don't want them listed - is there a plugin or some sort of one-click mechanism I can use to rename a file from something like: 15430. . . to: .15430. . . ? or something that won't display in the RCM client? Hi, I noticed a roundcube sqlite dB slowly growing after each login. in this example the user just logged, ran a search for an email address on Sent folder and logged out. Yet there was an increase in size: Before login -rw-r----- 1 www www 21295104 Nov 7 21:47 roundcube.db After login -rw-r----- 1 www www 21303296 Nov 7 21:57 roundcube.db What sort of information could be being added to the dB? And how could I purge this data, or otherwise reduce the sqlite dB? Perhaps though some regular cleaning? Roundcube 1.3.8 and sqlite 3.16.2. Best, Sophie

For reasons too depressing to recite, I was required by my employer to move my personal e-mail from its previous, cosy environment to something more "Suitable." Since I already have material on Startlogic, I elected to make Stsrtlogic's RoundCube my default personal e-mail, and as such, it is working very nicely. However, the volume of incoming garbage is annoying. On my previous e--mail host, I maintained a White List of users or domains from which I was willing to receive e-mail. Any source not on my white list received a polite message asking them to request access to my e--mail. Is there a similar feature on RoundCube? DMS

Slow displaying INBOX with thousands emails

Hello. I have user with approximately 500000 emails in his INBOX folder and this is not limit. And there is some inconvenience in viewing this folder. It takes about 5-7 seconds to display list of emails in folder. Pagination is set to 100 emails per page. I checked that IMAP server complete request "FETCH 1:100 ENVELOPE" in 147ms, and "FETCH 1:* ENVELOPE" in 6 second. This is why I begun to think that RoundCube may request for all emails instead of 100. Roundcube is configured for default sort order: descending by receiving date. Regards, Alexey.

2FA Plugin working but then I can't log in to get to Settings!

People, I have had 2FA working in the past but now if the config line config.inc.php is commented out eg: // $config['plugins'] = array('twofactor_gauthenticator'); then I don't get any any 2FA stuff in my settings - but if uncomment the above line, I get logged out and when I try to log in, I am asked for the 2FA code - but I haven't been able to scan the QR code yet in settings for my authenticator app so I can produce the code!
