Login is successful only with the second attempt

Hi. We periodically have problems with authentication in webmail - login is successful only with the second attempt. The problem occurs only when the login page is open a long time ago; if refresh it before entering, login is successful... Did anyone have the same problem? How can I fix this? ALERT: dopey home user sorry to be a nuisance Is current Debian buster, dovecot, roundcube with enigma and managesieve plugins. Everything was working nicely 1.3.8 and then something went wrong. Since installed 1.4-beta. I was a bit confused because I read it that the "updateto" would update the downloaded 1.4-beta to the configuration from the previous install but updates instead the previous install. Anyway it is working now and installation page has the green ticks except I just get the unhappy document face in the right hand window in the "settings" tab. In the "settings/folders" tab all the folders are there but I get the unhappy document picture if I try to make a new folder. I can move emails about between folders in "mail". Likewise the "PGP keys"tab shows the keys I copied there by hand but there is no information in the right hand window. There is the text "rapunzel.home refused to connect". ufw is turned off. Is this likely an issue with Dovecot or something daft I haven't done in roundcube configuration ? php fatal error

Setting up RC 1.33 on linux. Test send/imap connect fine. When I login however no email or folders are listed whatsoever. problem with attachments

ALERT:- dopey home user. How do I tell which roundcube I'm using ? Everything is working except I get SERVICE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE! Error No. [600] if I try to open an email with attachments cups print server is on same PC as roundcubemail. I was fiddling with cups the other day on client and I'm certain all I did was typed "lpadmin <server> <printer>" on client in error of understanding purpose of lpadmin although it is possible I updated server with apt before this happened but may have been after. Relevant might be that apt suggested auto-remove for a few files which I did. I was using roundcubemail-1.3.8 Anyway PHP seemed to stop working, just showing text. apache error log showed. "[php7:error] [pid 5733] [client 10.0.0.101:53579] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found in /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.3.8/program/lib/Roundcube/html.php:357\nStack trace:\n#0" so I set about removing/installing with apt PHP modules roundcube webpage says are required. php-dom php-xml php-jason I forget exactly which. installed roundcubemail-1.4-beta-complete by running "updateto" using still there roundcubemail-1.3.5 directory there was an error in the install saying php-pspell wasn't installed so I got that with apt and tried the install script again where it says roundcube is already installed, up to date or something. In /usr/share/ I have the directories /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.3.5 /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.3.8 whereas I thought I might have /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.4-beta So the questions are how do I fix this 600 error ? how do I find out which roundcube I'm using ? does 1.4 beta install itself in 1.3.8 directory ? What bit of software looks after attachements or is this some configuration, I'm pretty certain that the attachments are only gpg signatures. Hallo zusammen, wir haben die aktuelle Version von Roundcube im Einsatz. Allerdings haben wir das Problem, dass der Anmeldename am Postfach nicht gleich der Mailadresse ist. Wir suchen nach einer Möglichkeit, dies anzupassen, weil die abgehenden Mails ebenfalls mit dem Anmeldenamen und der dazugehörigen Domain versendet werden. Die so zusammen gesetzte Mailadresse gibt es aber nicht. Wir haben versucht, diverse php Dateien anzupassen. Da das aber nicht Sinn und Zweck ist, frage ich in der Mailingliste, ob es nicht einfacher geht. Über eine Antwort würde ich mich sehr freuen. Viele Grüße Tino Kurth

Hello all. I'm just joining the list. I've browsed through the archives but I have a couple of questions. I just installed the 1.4 beta. We like the Elastic skin so we are planning to use it as a default for all my users.. I plan to keep it updated, but I have a couple of questions. * Is it possible to have a popup or a modal when a user first signs in -- Just a simple window with the TOS for the account with an OK, or Accept button, that lets you go on to the second window which lets you complete your Identity. * I noticed there are user levels. 1 - 4. 4 being default. how would I go about managing those on a per user, or per group basis? I want MOST users not to be able to modify their email address or their organization. * Using the elastic skin -- I noticed on the configs that I can put a logo on the main screen, in fact I was able to put a logo but it is stretched in an ugly way. What are the proper dimensions for my logo? Can I specify a different logo on the main mail page? I see the logo on the upper left corner of my screen, but it's just a part of the logo. I would like to specify a different one there. I have 3 specified on my array by looking at examples: one for '*' which points to a large logo, one for ':favicon', and one for ':small', but the :small one does not show on the upper left. it's part of the '*' one. * Is there a way to resize the center pane (or hide/minimize it) when needed? (for example, when an extraordinarily wide message, so that I don't have to scroll side to side too much) -- This would also need to be possible when redacting mail so that the Options and Attachments column does not get in the way. /scrambled above on 1.3.8 — ok below on 1.3.7/ hello again I wrote already a month ago to know if the mobile plug-in Melanie2-Larry-Mobile would work with version 1.3.8. of RoundCube. I tried it anyway, but unfortunately, it doesn't. It's fine with 1.3.7, with 1.3.8 I get a scrambled mobile view. Anyone knows why? Could it be a missing StyleSheet? What are we supposed to do when our users call in and say they're seeing the CSRF failure page? The error message says to contact the server administrator... For your protection, access to this resource is secured against CSRF. If you see this, you probably didn't log out before leaving the web application. Human interaction is now required to continue. Please contact your server-administrator. Is there a way to turn the CSRF protection off? Or at least a way to reset it when it goes stupid? I'm ready to human interaction.

Is there a plugin button that will rename email files instead of moving them to the .Trash dir?

People, I have 1,566 Maildir folders and I would like to script process deleted files once a day while they are still in their original dirs - but I don't want them listed - is there a plugin or some sort of one-click mechanism I can use to rename a file from something like: 15430. . . to: .15430. . . ? or something that won't display in the RCM client? Hi, thank You for Your answer. Now I understand. I thought that Roundcube offer something like this. Does Rouncube offer stable solution for LDAP ? If I will store new user details in LDAP, will it be possible to integrate it with Roundcube (login/password reminder etc.)? Or for LDAP I have to use separate tool ? Hi, I noticed a roundcube sqlite dB slowly growing after each login. in this example the user just logged, ran a search for an email address on Sent folder and logged out. Yet there was an increase in size: Before login -rw-r----- 1 www www 21295104 Nov 7 21:47 roundcube.db After login -rw-r----- 1 www www 21303296 Nov 7 21:57 roundcube.db What sort of information could be being added to the dB? And how could I purge this data, or otherwise reduce the sqlite dB? Perhaps though some regular cleaning? Roundcube 1.3.8 and sqlite 3.16.2. Best, Sophie

For reasons too depressing to recite, I was required by my employer to move my personal e-mail from its previous, cosy environment to something more "Suitable." Since I already have material on Startlogic, I elected to make Stsrtlogic's RoundCube my default personal e-mail, and as such, it is working very nicely. However, the volume of incoming garbage is annoying. On my previous e--mail host, I maintained a White List of users or domains from which I was willing to receive e-mail. Any source not on my white list received a polite message asking them to request access to my e--mail. Is there a similar feature on RoundCube? DMS

Slow displaying INBOX with thousands emails

Hello. I have user with approximately 500000 emails in his INBOX folder and this is not limit. And there is some inconvenience in viewing this folder. It takes about 5-7 seconds to display list of emails in folder. Pagination is set to 100 emails per page. I checked that IMAP server complete request "FETCH 1:100 ENVELOPE" in 147ms, and "FETCH 1:* ENVELOPE" in 6 second. This is why I begun to think that RoundCube may request for all emails instead of 100. Roundcube is configured for default sort order: descending by receiving date. Regards, Alexey.

2FA Plugin working but then I can't log in to get to Settings!

People, I have had 2FA working in the past but now if the config line config.inc.php is commented out eg: // $config['plugins'] = array('twofactor_gauthenticator'); then I don't get any any 2FA stuff in my settings - but if uncomment the above line, I get logged out and when I try to log in, I am asked for the 2FA code - but I haven't been able to scan the QR code yet in settings for my authenticator app so I can produce the code! Howdy, I've seen in the logs this info, and i'd like to know what triggers it. Would it be the same user logged in more than one place? (well the sessid should be different for sure) Was the user that closed the browser and opened it again in the same page? Another reason? To handle this what would be the best option, insert it using insert ignore or replace? Or should it be like this? hello again I'm still having login problems on different sites on my webserver. On several sites, I upgraded from version 1.2.4 to 1.3.7 and since then, a login attempt says « _/*!*\_ Login failed ». Good afternoon, Is it possible to set different search criterias in Roundcube?. For instance to say. "Find me a message that has gone from this to that and with the subject containing this?". I know a plugin called advanced search exists, and although have managed to get it working (I could provide the working version) it has several Javascript issues with other plugin I use (InfiniteScroll). Having said that works more or less... but what about searches in Roundcube?. Can I enter from:___ subject:____ in the search box? or in some other manner?. hello I have RoundCube 1.2.4 running fine. I added the new user 'leglerlugano' on its site 'legler.org' and can access its mail thru POP3 without problems. But if I try to access the mail thru RoundCube, it seems to charge but falls immediately back to «Access failed». Howdy, I've seen this behavior, on all version and also last stable 1.3.7. I have HTTPS in the vhost that the webmail is running, everything's fine, but, if I click an email that has images that are loaded from an HTTP:// url (without HTTPS) the browser starts telling me that the HTTPS validation failed with the yellow sign in the padlock. Question, should an email with non-https url's influence the browser HTTPS validation? To get the normal behavior I have to F5 the window. We don't want to destroy or interupt meditation of ours SysOps :D I was searching & searching & searching & googling for some option/plugin doing this but I didn't find anything useful. Suggestions please

Hello guys, Is there a way to use inbox as default folder, the issue I see is that one person does not like the fact that when you have a folder called MYBackup as an example and I just checked that folder for mail, and I log out, next time I log in it takes me to that folder instead of the inbox folder. Please let me know if there are nay tweaking I can adjust in order to have the default login folder set to inbox. Thanks, RM

RCM appears to be the culprit for non-delivery of some emails to GMail addresses

People, This is my setup: Fedora 28 x86_64 workstation + Firefox <=> Fedora 26 x86_64 Server + RCM + QMail + multiple domains <=> Internet I have multiple email addresses for the multiple domains I run web sites and mailing lists for - last night when I mailed to someone from phr AT philiprhoades DOT org to a their GMail address - the mail was not delivered. I went through a bit of debugging with the recipient today and what I know so far is: - If I use RCM and the phr email address to send mail - even though the QMail logs say that the mail was successfully delivered - it never actually arrives - BUT no bounce message is ever received either. - If I use swaks on the server to send a test email from the phr address to the same person, it is delivered OK. - If I use qmail-inject on the server to send the original email that failed from its Maildir Sent dir to the same person, it is delivered OK. So it looks like something that RCM is adding to the headers is being objected to by the GMail servers or something - of course since nothing is ever actually delivered or bounced, I can't compare the header lines of the failed emails to the successful emails so I can't make any more progress trying to work out what the problem is. I have occasionally had rDNS issues but my diagnostics don't seem to fit that non-delivery issue . . anyone got any ideas? Is it possible that GMail servers can successfully accept emails but then silently fail to deliver them to recipients? You are still misunderstanding - the mail has header lines that were included by RCM and the local server - so that mail, stored in the Sent folder, can easily be resent manually - which works. The problem is that because the mails that are sent unsuccessfully by RCM directly, and appear to reach the GMail server and then disappear - we never see the header lines that would be added by the GMail server(s) - so we can't compare them to the mails that are resent manually and successfully. Hi, I have installed v1.4-beta with elastic skin and I really like it. It looks great, but more importantly for me, it really works well on desktop and mobile. Well done guys. I have one question about the sender avatar in the message view. I think it is one static picture, sourced from the mail server, and not, say a dynamic picture loaded form an external source such as gravatar. Is this correct? In either cases, I would like to disable this avatar in the mail view, side-wide, if possible. But I could not find a setting in this respect. Is there perhaps a config file I could tweak to suppress the image from the message view? Thomas

Roundcube 1.3.6 and set first time user email to domain, not imap host

Good evening, it is able to set somehow RC to us as a domain for new user only domain ? we use imap host (mail_host) "email.domain.cz". user put username for example "johny" as an username, put password in his profile setting in the roundcube he get email setting "johny(a)email.domain.cz". How do I set "creating" of the email addres for a new users. managesieve and 'editheader' extension

Hi, we just moved all domains and mail accounts to another hoster, and I managed to convince the new hoster to install the 'editheader' sieve extension, as we definitely need it. It's not a problem to type the 'addheader' commands manually in the filter set (as the managesieve plugin for RC doesn't offer any options for it yet). But it is a sort of problem that all 'addheader' commands are being deleted if something is changed again through the frontend of the plugin. Is there any way to avoid this...? Cannot access to roundcube UI

Change label for login input field "username"

Hi, At the moment, my RC installation ask the user to provide "Username" and "Password" during the login. Can this be changed to "eMail-Address" and "Password"? bulk import csv (multi contacts)

Hi, I have to import multiple csv files for multiple contacts (basically 1 csv with thousands contacts per user). I wonder if there's a way to use roundcube internal code to do this for me with the help of bach script to loop through the CSVs and parse what user it belongs to, and use such tool to automate the importing of CSV. I first tried to script to to mysql db directly, but I would have to convert everything to a vCard first, and I would have to figure out the user/group/contact relations, so no. enabling internal service tls authentication

Hello, I've got a vps that I'm wanting to tighten down its webmail setup. Currently it's running php 5.6 and it does have the openssl extension loaded. It's got apache 2.4 and that hooks in to php via php-fpm. I'm running Postfix and Dovecot and Roundcube 1.3.6. What I'm wanting to do is tls-encrypt all server communications from roundcube to the various imap/smtp servers. I've got letsencrypt providing my server certificates. People, I access RCM in a SSL protected directory and use FF as the routine browser for accessing this RCM on my server. After upgrading from Fedora 27 x86_64 to F28 on my workstation, I started seeing a "grey lock with an orange triangle": https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mixed-content-blocking-firefox?redirec… It appears that this is due to: skins/classic/images/watermark.gif - if I delete that file then the lock returns to its expected green colour without the orange triangle. Hi all, Just an info, not roundcube related but using Roundcube/for roundcube maints/sysadms. I've seen in my users, one in a while, some users being hacked in this form: * Somehow "they" got the user password, the one's I've saw were all msoutlook users so my guess is that the user got some type or virus/trojan that send that info to them. * "they" that info to enter the webmail (not sure if manually or automatically) * Ransomware is sent using Roundcube, if you check the sent folders you'll see emails with .jar attach's (and possible others) May be handy for someone this info, Jorge,

User preference and identities missing when migrating to new server.

Hello, all. I'm in the process of migrating from my physical, in house server to an instance in Amazon's cloud. I've got Roundcube installed and functional, but I'm having a bit of an issue. In order to make this transition as seamless as possible I've: - Installed RC 1.3.6 on the new server - Migrated my MySQL databases, in whole, from the old server to the new. - Made sure to migrate my config.inc.php file. - Ran the ${RCUBE}/bin/update.sh script to ensure smooth transition of any schemas. The issue I'm running into is that none of my preferences (views settings, identities, folder subscription settings) seemed to have made it across. Are the user specific preferences not stored in the MySQL DB and, if not, where are they stored, so that I can transition them over, as well? How to install elastic skin

Hey there, I'm trying to install elastic skin on my 1.3.6 roundcube. I've downloaded current git repo (https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail) and moved the skins/elastic directory to my installation's skins directory. After selecting elastic as skins in my users preferences, some css files cannot be loaded so the page display is weird. Sent message not saved in folder

Hi, I am using RC 1.3.5 Sometimes it seems that sent messages are not saved in "Sent" folder. Configuration is correct, I suspect there is some issue with IMAP server (dovecot), like a very high load, some storage issue, and so on. Is there a way to configure RC in order to "wait" for a correct reply from imap server, before actually send a message? Thankyou

smtp with certificate validation

Hi, I am using RC 1.3.5 on FreeBSD, with Postfix 3.3.0 Users are not allowed to send mail with SMTP auth, there is only webmail service. On this server I manage a few domain (<10); I would like to avoid sending message with a forget domain address (eg. I don't want that compromised mailbox can send mail with "xxxx(a)gmail.com", "xxxx(a)yandex.ru" and so on) How can I do this? Thank you!

At one point (Hook: message_before_send) I have to replace the recipient of the mail with another one, so I use $message->get(); $message->headers(array('To'=>implode(',', $recipients)), true); This code is doing well. marking emails as read with managesieve plugin

Hello, I'm using: RCM 1.3.6 installed with website stable release package composer used to update all dependencies as per upgrade doc i'm trying to have one of my managesieve filters mark emails as read while also moving them to their specific folder. the moving part works great but RCM still lists them as new rather than read. Hello, I've got a user with a home directory and an existing gnupg2 setup, under /home/username/.gnupg. I am wanting to know if Roundcube's Enigma plugin (using v1.36), can import this gpg key as it is already exported and available on a public keyserver? Hello List, I have a single domain mail server where I would like the users to be able to login with: user(a)domain.com or user I have successfully accomplished this by setting the virtual_mailbox_domains in postfix + $config['default_host'] in roundcube. However, depending on what username does the user uses 2 separate entries gets created for him in the DB with 2 settings. Buen Día , ante todo disculpen mi ignorancia pero no se a quien consultar por mi problema. hace tiempo contrate una empresa para dar de alta una dirección IP la cual detallo mas abajo. ya hace un tiempo decidí cortar con el servicio que ellos me brindaban y me surge el problema de que no puedo entrar para ver los mensajes ni nada. I have roundcubemail-1.3.6 and when I receive mail from a specific list the "reply list" option in the button reply is not visible, but in other mails from lists this option is visible. When I just run bin/installto.sh from downloaded version directory I have error that "config directory does not exists". Ok, so I did "mkdir config" (and I did this same for another directories which don't exist in my current roundcube installation like logs, temp, etc.). After making new directories I run again installto.sh script. Few las line from output: CHANGELOG README.md UPGRADING LICENSE INSTALL done. !! Old .htaccess file saved as .htaccess.orig !! JavaScript dependencies installation skipped... Running update script at target... This instance of Roundcube is not yet configured! Open http://url-to-roundcube/installer/ in your browser and follow the instuctions. All done. there is information "done." and "All done" and when I log into some account I see I have 1.3.6 version but I see that database is not upgraded. Roundcube 1.3.6 and carddav plugin

Hello, I'm trying to run carddav on my roundcube 1.3.6, recently updated. Whenever I enable the carddav plugin I see two separate errors in my errors log file, the first 5 lines refer to carddav, the sixth line refers to an issue maybe related maybe not about a Php security check failed. Any insights on either of these issues appreciated. roundcube recipient_to_contact plugin php error

Hello, I've enabled the recipient_to_contact plugin in Roundcube. Abnormal termination when downloading attached file (after 60 seconds)

Hello, I use Roundcube 1.0.2 in the following environment. OS: CentOS 7.2.1511 Kernel: 3.10.0-327.el7.x86_64 Apache: httpd-2.4.6-40.El7.Centos.4 IMAP Server: dovecot-2.2.10-5.el7.x86_64 - Configuration In order to handle 50 MB attached file on Roundcube, We made the following settings in Apache and PHP. . Apache httpd.conf Timeout 300 . PHP php.ini max_execution_time = 300 max_input_time = 600 error_reporting = E_ALL default_socket_timeout = 600 mysql.connect_timeout = 600 . Roundcube defaults.inc.php $config['imap_timeout'] = 300; - Situation In this situation, e-mail with attached file of about 30 MB will be sent from Roundcube When downloading, processing stops when 1 minute passes. The whole file can not be downloaded, and only a part has been downloaded. I think that the following log (/var/log/maillog) is output to Dovecot, indicating that it ended abnormally. End of Life for 1.2?

Hi, Today, security update 1.3.6 was released, but there was no update for the 1.2 line. In November, there was an update for 1.2 (and even 1.1). Now, I am wondering whether 1.2 has reached its end of life, or whether the security issue only affected 1.3. How can I find out the support cycles for the various lines? I couldn't manage to figure it out on the web site. Thanks!
