Using SHA256/512 for sql password format

For my new server, I am finally moving away from MD5 for the password format. This is going to be a clean build. I do not see anything in the roundcubemail config that needs to specify the format. It seems that this is dovecots job? The only area of change is in the password change plugin. In: https://kaworu.ch/blog/2016/04/20/strong-crypt-scheme-with-dovecot-postfixa… It seems the only change I need is: $config['password_crypt_hash'] = 'shaxxx'; Where xxx is either 256 or 512. All the other changes are to support a format migration. thanks

Two Roundcube errors

Hello, I've got two roundcube issues. The first is that my inbox shows I have 19853 messages, but later roundcube says that the mailbox is empty. After seeing this I hit the logout button to close out of roundcube, my browser is the latest google chrome and I got the below message: REQUEST CHECK FAILED For your protection, access to this resource is secured against CSRF. If you see this, you probably didn't log out before leaving the web application. Human interaction is now required to continue. The server is running Apache 2.4.38, Mysql 5.7.25, 7.3.2, with fcgi, and roundcube 1.3.8. The imap server is Dovecot 2.3.4. Suggestions welcome. Thanks. Dave.

Migrating mailserver roundcubemail going from v 1.0.3 to 1.1.12

The question is has the mysql database definitions changed between these versions? Can I simply copy the mysql database file from the old server to the new server? Any thing I should watch out for if I do this for migration? thanks

Plugin repository not working?

Hello! Looks like plugin repository is not working this year. All plugin updates starting from January are only visible in UI, no in JSON feed. And cannot be installed using composer. Just check latest JSON: https://plugins.roundcube.net/p/provider-latest$b35819e741aa804b3e3d7d86678… Only three plugins! It should contain mach more of them, updated January and February this year, including ident_switch. Can someone check it please?

Problems receiving emails

Hello, A few days ago I setup my Roundcube email on my iPhone, since then I receive all emails on my iPhone but only some of them appear on my Inbox folder when I open my email on my laptop! I did not provide that to the installer. I only provided the fqdn. The installer added the http:// I will remove that and try again. Well, now that I think about it. I may have done a cut and paste and picked up the http:// and just did not pay enough attention. This is more likely than the installer being wrong. Cutting and pasting is a good way to get things wrong... thanks for pointing out the obvious, Harald! As you may know, I often need a good jab with the obvious stick!

I am on page 3 of the Installer, testing out the STMP config (IMAP config works). I get the error: SMTP send: NOT OK(Connection failed: Failed to connect socket: Unable to find the socket transport "http" - did you forget to enable it when you configured PHP I am looking in my config.inc.php and I see: $config['smtp_server'] = 'http://klovia.htt-consult.com'; and I did: setsebool -P httpd_can_network_connect on I also tried: setsebool -P httpd_can_sendmail on Still no SMTP send. Please point me to where to look for this. ================================== As a side, small issue, the spell checker pull down only offered: pspell, atd, or google. enchant was not in the list, but I see in the config.inc.php: // Set the spell checking engine. fail to send email with attachment

Hello! I tried to send an email with attachement but it didn't arrive. The mail arrived but without attachment. Roundcube IMAP issue

Hello, I have an issue with Roundcube IMAP connection. Suddenly it stopped working: $config['imap_debug'] = true; it doesn even logging and connectingto IMAP to see error logs. Login is successful only with the second attempt

Hi. We periodically have problems with authentication in webmail - login is successful only with the second attempt. The problem occurs only when the login page is open a long time ago; if refresh it before entering, login is successful... Did anyone have the same problem? How can I fix this? ALERT: dopey home user sorry to be a nuisance Is current Debian buster, dovecot, roundcube with enigma and managesieve plugins. Everything was working nicely 1.3.8 and then something went wrong. Since installed 1.4-beta. I was a bit confused because I read it that the "updateto" would update the downloaded 1.4-beta to the configuration from the previous install but updates instead the previous install. Anyway it is working now and installation page has the green ticks except I just get the unhappy document face in the right hand window in the "settings" tab. In the "settings/folders" tab all the folders are there but I get the unhappy document picture if I try to make a new folder. I can move emails about between folders in "mail". Likewise the "PGP keys"tab shows the keys I copied there by hand but there is no information in the right hand window. There is the text "rapunzel.home refused to connect". ufw is turned off. Is this likely an issue with Dovecot or something daft I haven't done in roundcube configuration ? php fatal error

Setting up RC 1.33 on linux. Test send/imap connect fine. When I login however no email or folders are listed whatsoever. problem with attachments

ALERT:- dopey home user. How do I tell which roundcube I'm using ? Everything is working except I get SERVICE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE! Error No. [600] if I try to open an email with attachments cups print server is on same PC as roundcubemail. I was fiddling with cups the other day on client and I'm certain all I did was typed "lpadmin <server> <printer>" on client in error of understanding purpose of lpadmin although it is possible I updated server with apt before this happened but may have been after. Relevant might be that apt suggested auto-remove for a few files which I did. I was using roundcubemail-1.3.8 Anyway PHP seemed to stop working, just showing text. apache error log showed. "[php7:error] [pid 5733] [client 10.0.0.101:53579] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found in /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.3.8/program/lib/Roundcube/html.php:357\nStack trace:\n#0" so I set about removing/installing with apt PHP modules roundcube webpage says are required. php-dom php-xml php-jason I forget exactly which. installed roundcubemail-1.4-beta-complete by running "updateto" using still there roundcubemail-1.3.5 directory there was an error in the install saying php-pspell wasn't installed so I got that with apt and tried the install script again where it says roundcube is already installed, up to date or something. In /usr/share/ I have the directories /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.3.5 /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.3.8 whereas I thought I might have /usr/share/roundcubemail-1.4-beta So the questions are how do I fix this 600 error ? how do I find out which roundcube I'm using ? does 1.4 beta install itself in 1.3.8 directory ? What bit of software looks after attachements or is this some configuration, I'm pretty certain that the attachments are only gpg signatures. Hallo zusammen, wir haben die aktuelle Version von Roundcube im Einsatz. Allerdings haben wir das Problem, dass der Anmeldename am Postfach nicht gleich der Mailadresse ist. Wir suchen nach einer Möglichkeit, dies anzupassen, weil die abgehenden Mails ebenfalls mit dem Anmeldenamen und der dazugehörigen Domain versendet werden. Die so zusammen gesetzte Mailadresse gibt es aber nicht. Wir haben versucht, diverse php Dateien anzupassen. Da das aber nicht Sinn und Zweck ist, frage ich in der Mailingliste, ob es nicht einfacher geht. Über eine Antwort würde ich mich sehr freuen. Viele Grüße Tino Kurth

Hello all. I'm just joining the list. I've browsed through the archives but I have a couple of questions. I just installed the 1.4 beta. We like the Elastic skin so we are planning to use it as a default for all my users.. I plan to keep it updated, but I have a couple of questions. * Is it possible to have a popup or a modal when a user first signs in -- Just a simple window with the TOS for the account with an OK, or Accept button, that lets you go on to the second window which lets you complete your Identity. * I noticed there are user levels. 1 - 4. 4 being default. how would I go about managing those on a per user, or per group basis? I want MOST users not to be able to modify their email address or their organization. * Using the elastic skin -- I noticed on the configs that I can put a logo on the main screen, in fact I was able to put a logo but it is stretched in an ugly way. What are the proper dimensions for my logo? Can I specify a different logo on the main mail page? I see the logo on the upper left corner of my screen, but it's just a part of the logo. I would like to specify a different one there. I have 3 specified on my array by looking at examples: one for '*' which points to a large logo, one for ':favicon', and one for ':small', but the :small one does not show on the upper left. it's part of the '*' one. * Is there a way to resize the center pane (or hide/minimize it) when needed? (for example, when an extraordinarily wide message, so that I don't have to scroll side to side too much) -- This would also need to be possible when redacting mail so that the Options and Attachments column does not get in the way. What are we supposed to do when our users call in and say they're seeing the CSRF failure page? The error message says to contact the server administrator... For your protection, access to this resource is secured against CSRF. If you see this, you probably didn't log out before leaving the web application. Human interaction is now required to continue. Please contact your server-administrator. Is there a way to turn the CSRF protection off? Or at least a way to reset it when it goes stupid? I'm ready to human interaction.

People, I have 1,566 Maildir folders and I would like to script process deleted files once a day while they are still in their original dirs - but I don't want them listed - is there a plugin or some sort of one-click mechanism I can use to rename a file from something like: 15430. . . to: .15430. . . ? or something that won't display in the RCM client? Hi, I noticed a roundcube sqlite dB slowly growing after each login. in this example the user just logged, ran a search for an email address on Sent folder and logged out. Yet there was an increase in size: Before login -rw-r----- 1 www www 21295104 Nov 7 21:47 roundcube.db After login -rw-r----- 1 www www 21303296 Nov 7 21:57 roundcube.db What sort of information could be being added to the dB? And how could I purge this data, or otherwise reduce the sqlite dB? Perhaps though some regular cleaning? Roundcube 1.3.8 and sqlite 3.16.2. Best, Sophie

For reasons too depressing to recite, I was required by my employer to move my personal e-mail from its previous, cosy environment to something more "Suitable." Since I already have material on Startlogic, I elected to make Stsrtlogic's RoundCube my default personal e-mail, and as such, it is working very nicely. However, the volume of incoming garbage is annoying. On my previous e--mail host, I maintained a White List of users or domains from which I was willing to receive e-mail. Any source not on my white list received a polite message asking them to request access to my e--mail. Is there a similar feature on RoundCube? DMS

Slow displaying INBOX with thousands emails

Hello. I have user with approximately 500000 emails in his INBOX folder and this is not limit. And there is some inconvenience in viewing this folder. It takes about 5-7 seconds to display list of emails in folder. Pagination is set to 100 emails per page. I checked that IMAP server complete request "FETCH 1:100 ENVELOPE" in 147ms, and "FETCH 1:* ENVELOPE" in 6 second. This is why I begun to think that RoundCube may request for all emails instead of 100. Roundcube is configured for default sort order: descending by receiving date. Regards, Alexey.

2FA Plugin working but then I can't log in to get to Settings!

People, I have had 2FA working in the past but now if the config line config.inc.php is commented out eg: // $config['plugins'] = array('twofactor_gauthenticator'); then I don't get any any 2FA stuff in my settings - but if uncomment the above line, I get logged out and when I try to log in, I am asked for the 2FA code - but I haven't been able to scan the QR code yet in settings for my authenticator app so I can produce the code! Howdy, I've seen in the logs this info, and i'd like to know what triggers it. Would it be the same user logged in more than one place? (well the sessid should be different for sure) Was the user that closed the browser and opened it again in the same page? Another reason? To handle this what would be the best option, insert it using insert ignore or replace? Or should it be like this? hello again I'm still having login problems on different sites on my webserver. On several sites, I upgraded from version 1.2.4 to 1.3.7 and since then, a login attempt says « _/*!*\_ Login failed ». Users at sites running RoundCube 1.2.4 have no problems. A.L.E.C. said, I should fix the database. How can I do this? I couldn't find any instructions online... I know a plugin called advanced search exists, and although have managed to get it working (I could provide the working version) it has several Javascript issues with other plugin I use (InfiniteScroll). Having said that works more or less... but what about searches in Roundcube?. Can I enter from:___ subject:____ in the search box? or in some other manner?. can't login new user

hello I have RoundCube 1.2.4 running fine. I added the new user 'leglerlugano' on its site 'legler.org' and can access its mail thru POP3 without problems. But if I try to access the mail thru RoundCube, it seems to charge but falls immediately back to «Access failed». Howdy, I've seen this behavior, on all version and also last stable 1.3.7. I have HTTPS in the vhost that the webmail is running, everything's fine, but, if I click an email that has images that are loaded from an HTTP:// url (without HTTPS) the browser starts telling me that the HTTPS validation failed with the yellow sign in the padlock. Question, should an email with non-https url's influence the browser HTTPS validation? To get the normal behavior I have to F5 the window. Hello guys, Is there a way to use inbox as default folder, the issue I see is that one person does not like the fact that when you have a folder called MYBackup as an example and I just checked that folder for mail, and I log out, next time I log in it takes me to that folder instead of the inbox folder. Please let me know if there are nay tweaking I can adjust in order to have the default login folder set to inbox. Thanks, RM

RCM appears to be the culprit for non-delivery of some emails to GMail addresses

People, This is my setup: Fedora 28 x86_64 workstation + Firefox <=> Fedora 26 x86_64 Server + RCM + QMail + multiple domains <=> Internet I have multiple email addresses for the multiple domains I run web sites and mailing lists for - last night when I mailed to someone from phr AT philiprhoades DOT org to a their GMail address - the mail was not delivered. I went through a bit of debugging with the recipient today and what I know so far is: - If I use RCM and the phr email address to send mail - even though the QMail logs say that the mail was successfully delivered - it never actually arrives - BUT no bounce message is ever received either. - If I use swaks on the server to send a test email from the phr address to the same person, it is delivered OK. - If I use qmail-inject on the server to send the original email that failed from its Maildir Sent dir to the same person, it is delivered OK. So it looks like something that RCM is adding to the headers is being objected to by the GMail servers or something - of course since nothing is ever actually delivered or bounced, I can't compare the header lines of the failed emails to the successful emails so I can't make any more progress trying to work out what the problem is. I have occasionally had rDNS issues but my diagnostics don't seem to fit that non-delivery issue . . anyone got any ideas? Is it possible that GMail servers can successfully accept emails but then silently fail to deliver them to recipients? You are still misunderstanding - the mail has header lines that were included by RCM and the local server - so that mail, stored in the Sent folder, can easily be resent manually - which works. The problem is that because the mails that are sent unsuccessfully by RCM directly, and appear to reach the GMail server and then disappear - we never see the header lines that would be added by the GMail server(s) - so we can't compare them to the mails that are resent manually and successfully. Elastic skin and user avatar in the message display

Hi, I have installed v1.4-beta with elastic skin and I really like it. It looks great, but more importantly for me, it really works well on desktop and mobile. Well done guys. I have one question about the sender avatar in the message view. I think it is one static picture, sourced from the mail server, and not, say a dynamic picture loaded form an external source such as gravatar. Is this correct? In either cases, I would like to disable this avatar in the mail view, side-wide, if possible. But I could not find a setting in this respect. Is there perhaps a config file I could tweak to suppress the image from the message view? Thomas

Good evening, it is able to set somehow RC to us as a domain for new user only domain ? we use imap host (mail_host) "email.domain.cz". user put username for example "johny" as an username, put password in his profile setting in the roundcube he get email setting "johny(a)email.domain.cz". How do I set "creating" of the email addres for a new users. managesieve and 'editheader' extension

Hi, we just moved all domains and mail accounts to another hoster, and I managed to convince the new hoster to install the 'editheader' sieve extension, as we definitely need it. It's not a problem to type the 'addheader' commands manually in the filter set (as the managesieve plugin for RC doesn't offer any options for it yet). But it is a sort of problem that all 'addheader' commands are being deleted if something is changed again through the frontend of the plugin. Is there any way to avoid this...? Change label for login input field "username"

Hi, At the moment, my RC installation ask the user to provide "Username" and "Password" during the login. Can this be changed to "eMail-Address" and "Password"? bulk import csv (multi contacts)

Hi, I have to import multiple csv files for multiple contacts (basically 1 csv with thousands contacts per user). I wonder if there's a way to use roundcube internal code to do this for me with the help of bach script to loop through the CSVs and parse what user it belongs to, and use such tool to automate the importing of CSV. I first tried to script to to mysql db directly, but I would have to convert everything to a vCard first, and I would have to figure out the user/group/contact relations, so no. enabling internal service tls authentication

Hello, I've got a vps that I'm wanting to tighten down its webmail setup. Currently it's running php 5.6 and it does have the openssl extension loaded. It's got apache 2.4 and that hooks in to php via php-fpm. I'm running Postfix and Dovecot and Roundcube 1.3.6. What I'm wanting to do is tls-encrypt all server communications from roundcube to the various imap/smtp servers. I've got letsencrypt providing my server certificates. Dear list, in a OpenBSD 6.3 machine I run httpd and opensmptd and try to intall roundcubemail 1.3.5 from the OpenBSD packages repository. People, I access RCM in a SSL protected directory and use FF as the routine browser for accessing this RCM on my server. After upgrading from Fedora 27 x86_64 to F28 on my workstation, I started seeing a "grey lock with an orange triangle": https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mixed-content-blocking-firefox?redirec… It appears that this is due to: skins/classic/images/watermark.gif - if I delete that file then the lock returns to its expected green colour without the orange triangle. Hi all, Just an info, not roundcube related but using Roundcube/for roundcube maints/sysadms. I've seen in my users, one in a while, some users being hacked in this form: * Somehow "they" got the user password, the one's I've saw were all msoutlook users so my guess is that the user got some type or virus/trojan that send that info to them. * "they" that info to enter the webmail (not sure if manually or automatically) * Ransomware is sent using Roundcube, if you check the sent folders you'll see emails with .jar attach's (and possible others) May be handy for someone this info, Jorge,

User preference and identities missing when migrating to new server.

Hello, all. I'm in the process of migrating from my physical, in house server to an instance in Amazon's cloud. I've got Roundcube installed and functional, but I'm having a bit of an issue. In order to make this transition as seamless as possible I've: - Installed RC 1.3.6 on the new server - Migrated my MySQL databases, in whole, from the old server to the new. - Made sure to migrate my config.inc.php file. - Ran the ${RCUBE}/bin/update.sh script to ensure smooth transition of any schemas. The issue I'm running into is that none of my preferences (views settings, identities, folder subscription settings) seemed to have made it across. Are the user specific preferences not stored in the MySQL DB and, if not, where are they stored, so that I can transition them over, as well? Hey there, I'm trying to install elastic skin on my 1.3.6 roundcube. I've downloaded current git repo (https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubemail) and moved the skins/elastic directory to my installation's skins directory. After selecting elastic as skins in my users preferences, some css files cannot be loaded so the page display is weird. Sent message not saved in folder

Hi, I am using RC 1.3.5 Sometimes it seems that sent messages are not saved in "Sent" folder. Configuration is correct, I suspect there is some issue with IMAP server (dovecot), like a very high load, some storage issue, and so on. Is there a way to configure RC in order to "wait" for a correct reply from imap server, before actually send a message? Thankyou

Hi, In the smtp that I use in roundcubemail I have a self sign certificate and use the port 587 to send authenticated mail, my configuration in roundcubemail is $config['smtp_server'] = 'tls://mysmtp.hostname'; $config['smtp_port'] = 587; $config['smtp_conn_options'] = array( 'ssl' => array( 'verify_peer' => true, 'verify_peer_name' => false, 'verify_depth' => 5, 'cafile' => '/etc/pki/dovecot/certs/mycert', ), ); And this works, but I'm trying to change my self signed certificate to letsencrypt, I changed in my smtp to the new certificate and works (tested with a desktop client mail). In my roundcubemail I change the cafile to this 'cafile' => '/etc/letsencrypt/live/mysmtp.hostname/chain.pem', But doesn't work, when I try to send mail I have this error in logs ERROR: STARTTLS failed () ERROR: Invalid response code received from server (-1) ERROR: Invalid response code received from server (-1) SMTP Error: Authentication failure: STARTTLS failed (Code: ) in /usr/share/roundcubemail/program/lib/Roundcube/rcube.php on line 1673 (POST /?_task=mail&_unlock=loading1529146163891&_lang=en&_framed=1&_action=se nd) The only way that works is to disable verify_peer, is anyone using letsencrypt like this and has the same problem? Hi, I am using RC 1.3.5 on FreeBSD, with Postfix 3.3.0 Users are not allowed to send mail with SMTP auth, there is only webmail service. On this server I manage a few domain (<10); I would like to avoid sending message with a forget domain address (eg. I don't want that compromised mailbox can send mail with "xxxx(a)gmail.com", "xxxx(a)yandex.ru" and so on) How can I do this? Thank you!

Hi everyone, currently I'm working on a plugin for Roundcube using some functions of Mail_Mime. At one point (Hook: message_before_send) I have to replace the recipient of the mail with another one, so I use $message->get(); $message->headers(array('To'=>implode(',', $recipients)), true); This code is doing well. But there still is the "Envelope-To"-Header which I can't replace like follows: $message->headers(array('To'=>implode(',', $recipients), 'Envelope-To'=>implode(',', $recipients)), true); Am I totally wrong? hello I installed Roundcube's new version 1.3.4 from the previous version 1.2.4 the on a BlueOnyx server. Since then, I can't login at http://server/roundcube/, I get instead of the login form the error *DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!* Unable to connect to the database! marking emails as read with managesieve plugin

Hello, I'm using: RCM 1.3.6 installed with website stable release package composer used to update all dependencies as per upgrade doc i'm trying to have one of my managesieve filters mark emails as read while also moving them to their specific folder. the moving part works great but RCM still lists them as new rather than read. Hello, I've got a user with a home directory and an existing gnupg2 setup, under /home/username/.gnupg. I am wanting to know if Roundcube's Enigma plugin (using v1.36), can import this gpg key as it is already exported and available on a public keyserver? Secondly, do I have to get separate S/MIME keys or will enigma handle mail signing with the existing gpg key? Thanks. Dave.

Hello List, I have a single domain mail server where I would like the users to be able to login with: user(a)domain.com or user I have successfully accomplished this by setting the virtual_mailbox_domains in postfix + $config['default_host'] in roundcube. However, depending on what username does the user uses 2 separate entries gets created for him in the DB with 2 settings. I have roundcubemail-1.3.6 and when I receive mail from a specific list the "reply list" option in the button reply is not visible, but in other mails from lists this option is visible. Roundcube 1.3.6 and carddav plugin

Hello, I'm trying to run carddav on my roundcube 1.3.6, recently updated. Whenever I enable the carddav plugin I see two separate errors in my errors log file, the first 5 lines refer to carddav, the sixth line refers to an issue maybe related maybe not about a Php security check failed. Abnormal termination when downloading attached file (after 60 seconds)

Hello, I use Roundcube 1.0.2 in the following environment. OS: CentOS 7.2.1511 Kernel: 3.10.0-327.el7.x86_64 Apache: httpd-2.4.6-40.El7.Centos.4 IMAP Server: dovecot-2.2.10-5.el7.x86_64 - Configuration In order to handle 50 MB attached file on Roundcube, We made the following settings in Apache and PHP. . Apache httpd.conf Timeout 300 . PHP php.ini max_execution_time = 300 max_input_time = 600 error_reporting = E_ALL default_socket_timeout = 600 mysql.connect_timeout = 600 . Roundcube defaults.inc.php $config['imap_timeout'] = 300; - Situation In this situation, e-mail with attached file of about 30 MB will be sent from Roundcube When downloading, processing stops when 1 minute passes. The whole file can not be downloaded, and only a part has been downloaded. I think that the following log (/var/log/maillog) is output to Dovecot, indicating that it ended abnormally. End of Life for 1.2?

Hi, Today, security update 1.3.6 was released, but there was no update for the 1.2 line. In November, there was an update for 1.2 (and even 1.1). Now, I am wondering whether 1.2 has reached its end of life, or whether the security issue only affected 1.3. How can I find out the support cycles for the various lines? Security Update 1.3.6 released

It primarily fixes a recently reported IMAP command injection vulnerability caused by insufficient input validation within the archive plugin. Details about the vulnerability are published under CVE-2018-9846. Additionally, we back-ported some minor fixes from the master branch which improve PHP 7.2 compatibility as well as PGP signing and key handling for those who use the Enigma plugin. managesieve plugin

hello, having some bother getting managesieve plugin to work. worked with previous install of roundcube, was called managesieve in webpage settings/filters now is called roundcube. Is writing filter rules to ~/sieve/roundcube.sieve but emails are not moved. is Roundcube Webmail 1.3.5. Debian testing. dovecot --version 2.2.35 (b1cb664) is just for local network. I don't know what is the problem. Hello! Using Centos 7/64 and Webmin/Virtualmin, I have setup Roundcube for one domain (mydomain.com). All is working fine but I have a couple of problems with usernames. First, I wrote an interface to automatically create users at the domain, in Virtualmin (using the Virtualmin API). There, creating a user "test" will make it recorded as "test.mydomain". To log into RoundCube I must enter test.mydomain as username. Then, the RC record of this user is: username: test.mydomain email: test.mydomain(a)mydomain.com I would like this to be: username: test email: test(a)mydomain.com And I would like users to login as "test", simply. Or eventually (but it is worse as "test(a)mydomain.com". I tried changing the config.inc.php details: The defaul was: $config['default_host'] = 'localhost'; I setup $config['default_host'] = 'mydomain.com'; and tried a few things with $config['mail_domain'] and $config['username_domain'] (options %n , %s, etc The result is never what I need... Any suggestion would be welcome, Thank you!

inbox has no "old" content

Hi, I am just trying to migrate my mail server from Debian 7 on a pi2 using sendmail, dovecot and squirrel-mail to debian9 on a x86 server using sendmail, dovecot and roundcube. So waht I have done is tar zcvf the user's home folder and expanded it on the new server. When I log in with roundcube my inbox is empty but all the old folders are there and have content. I am assuming I have some config to do to get inbox populated but Im scrathcing my head as to what to look at. When i use Thunderbird client instead I get the same issue, so am I right in assuming its a Dovecot issue?

Hello, I'm a first time poster. I use Roundcube 1.3.4 on a FreeBSD system. I use postfix which gets it's authentication from dovecot imap server and goes to a MySQL database. I am now wanting to get roundcube's password plugin to be able to change a users password. In the password plugin configuration file I had this originally: update virtual_users set password=CONCAT('{SHA512-CRYPT}', ENCRYPT (%p, CONCAT('$6$', SUBSTRING(SHA(RAND()), -16)))) WHERE user=%u; This didn't work nor did it return any debug information. I then went in to MySQL directly and did this: update virtual_users set password=CONCAT('{SHA512-CRYPT}', ENCRYPT ('PasswordGoesHere', CONCAT('$6$', SUBSTRING(SHA(RAND()), -16)))) WHERE user='Username goes here'; Directly at the MySQL prompt this worked replaced user and password with values and it got returned correctly. I then did this with %p and %u as it appeared that not having them quoted was causing an error. Through none of this am I getting any kind of debug or log output: update virtual_users set password=CONCAT('{SHA512-CRYPT}', ENCRYPT ('%p', CONCAT('$6$', SUBSTRING(SHA(RAND()), -16)))) WHERE user='%u'; I try to change the password and I get brought back to the same screen, no errors on the screen and nothing in a log, the password does not get changed. Any suggestions or ways I can get some logging information? Also, when doing the change at the MySQL prompt I got a warning, doing a show warnings revealed error 1287 that the ENCRYPT function is deprecated and to use AES_ENCRYPT instead. I tried replacing ENCRYPT with AES_ENCRYPT and that didn't work. Any suggestions on either issue welcome. Thanks. Dave.

Hi, If I let Roundcube to "DISPLAY HTML" for any account, I receive a Error 500 when trying to open an email. WHen I deselect it in "Roundcube >> Settings >> Preferences >> Displaying Messages" everything works. So I need one of these: 1) To solve this Error 500 or 2) To deselect this parameter above for any account, is there a way of setting it as a global parameter? When roundcube connects to an imap or smtp server it's being a client therefore I think it would be logical that the client needs to validate the chain. When you are connecting to roundcube webinterface you are connecting to the server serving it, in that setting the browser is the client and the apache/nginx being the server. It's all a matter of who is the client and who is the server perspective as in who needs to validate and who needs to show they have a valid chain. Hello! I run two domains on one host. With one I have no problem using PGP with the otherone it does not work. Both domains use version 1.3.3 and enigma 0.7. Importing keys works, signing and encryption does not. I set $config['debug_level'] = 4; but nothing is logged at the moment. How can I debug that thing? How to avoid accessing mailboxes elsewhere

Hello, I will explain what I need to know. I have 3 Servers: 1) One of them is just a Domains Server. 2) The other two are Mailboxes Servers. They have the email accounts for all the Domains from the first Server. All these mailboxes' POP and SMTP are accessed through the Server address: mail.domainnamea.com. mail.domainnameb.com. mail.domainnamec.com. and so on. If someone who accesses my Roundcube, fill the Server field with any other POP Server name elsewhere, he will read those emails. How to avoid it, so that only mailboxes in one of my two Mailboxes mentioned above can be accessed? Thanks a lot. Unknown user in users table, very odd, possible security hole

Howdy, I have a verrryyyyy odd thing happening. I have an user, unknown, that is in my users table, for a domain that isn't mine, and never was. This records keep's having last_login fields updated, so someway he's being able to login right? Odd to see that the field after the datetime fields (that is the failed_login_count) is zero, Is there any plugin or so to records the IP from which the logins are made? Invalid request! No data was saved. after leaving browser window open

Hi, I have a problem when user logs out from RC and leaves window open for some time (login screen after logout). When they want to log back they always get "Invalid request! No data was saved." error. I have reproduced it myself and I don't know why it is happening. I have noticed that the same error happens when I remove roundcube_sessid cookie from the browser. This cookie is marked to be deleted when the browser session ends. Is that possible that corresponding session ID is removed from the database when the window is still open and on re-login attempt the still existing cookie causes the error? Hello list, I'm using roundcube-1.3.3-1.remi.el6. I've set up DKIM in my SMTP server. The messages are being signed but are failing DKIM tests when I send in plain text from roundcubemail interface, but when I send the messages in html format from roundcubemail the messages pass DKIM tests. I'm testing by sending to a gmail account and port25.com, by the way. In Thuderbird and Squirrelmail the messages do not fail. If also tested my DKIM with keys with the opendkim package 'opendkim-testkey' and they pass. The the email headers have slight differences between those sent by Squirrelmail/Thunderbird and Roundcube in plain text. Roundcube gives an error of "SMTP Error (250): Authentication failed.” and the log has "Must issue a STARTTLS command first." PHP 5.6.4 Postfix 2.11.3 Roundcube 1.3.3 Things used to work just fine but it’s been a while since I’ve used roundcube to send any emails, so i haven’t noticed until now.. No self-signed certificate. Hello Roundcube experts- wondering if a kind soul would offer some assistance in setting up a OOO plugin for a functioning Roundcube setup on a MacOS server? The basic setup is working fine. I’ve chosen a specific plugin but it may not be the best one? Also, for some reason when I perform a php -v the mcrypt module complains of a build mismatch? Roundcube 1.3 and _SERVER['HTTPS']

Hello everyone, I have recently upgraded Roundcube from release-1.2 to release-1.3. Roundcube is running behind HA-Proxy with SSL-Termination, which means that the traffic is encrypted between the client and haproxy but not between haproxy and roundcube(served by nginx). It seems that after the upgrade, the variable $_SERVER['HTTPS'] is not being set to 'on', and some plugins that use this variable are serving resources over http, which causes the browser to complain about Mixed Content and connection not fully secure. Not all domains are set to redirect to SSL port, so I can't force https, but the ones who use it are set up in nginx like this: server { listen 80; server_name webmail.domain_name; return 301 https://$server_name/; } server { listen 443; root /var/www; index index.php; server_name webmail.domain_name; access_log off; location / { try_files $uri $uri/ =404; } location ~ .php$ { root /var/www; fastcgi_pass php; fastcgi_read_timeout 120; fastcgi_index index.php; fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; } } the port 443 here is just a different port but traffic is not encrypted because the HA-Proxy does the encryption with the client. I am trying to setup roundcube again and am having some issues. The email service that they are using is Roundcube and it is the default webmail service on bluest. I just want to make sure that their emails won’t go down when that transfer happens since I don’t have any experience in it. once again, after up'ing from 1.3.1 to 1.3.2, i still receive: ERROR: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'roundcube'@'localhost' (using password: NO)Error 500: Error connecting to database: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1045] Access denied for user 'roundcube'@'localhost' (using password: NO) after trying to run indexcontacts script from cli: from within the downloaded package folder: ./bin/indexcontacts.sh (while logged in as root / or with sudo) this always happens on each upgrade attempt and still can't make heads or tails of it. anyone have any ideas or has this been mentioned and i'm simply forgetting the fix / corrective action? Dear subscribers We just published updates to all stable versions from 1.1.x onwards delivering fixes for a recently discovered file disclosure vulnerability in Roundcube Webmail. Apparently this zero-day exploit is already being used by hackers to read Roundcube’s configuration files. It requires a valid username/password as the exploit only works with a valid session. More details will be published soon under CVE-2017-16651. The Roundcube series 1.0.x is not affected by this vulnerability but we nevertheless back-ported the fix in order to protect from yet unknown exploits. managesieve plugin

hello, I have roundcube dovecot installation for one user, me, on debian jessie. I try to use the managesieve plugin installed dovecot-sieve and dovecot-managesieved with apt and activated roundcube plugin. there is a file ~/sieve/managesieve.sieve which has rules in it and there are no complaints in the webpage of roundcube but messages are not moved to folders. We also changed the wording for the setting that controls the time after which an opened message is marked as read. Hi, I have installed Roundcube version 1.3.1 and I have a problem when in addressbook I clicks on QR Code button. When I clicks on QR Code button, the QR Code image is not shown and in log file I have a lot of lines saying: PHP Warning: str_repeat(): Second argument has to be greater than or equal to 0 in (RC dir)\vendor\endroid\qrcode\src\QrCode.php on line 1230 Are there anybody that have same problem? Issue with filters plugin

Hi, I am using RC 1.3.1 (I just upgraded from 1.1.9). After upgrade it seems plugin "filters" (2.1.6) is not working anymore. Every time I get error "field contains cannot be empty", even with a non-empty value, of course. Any suggestion? Thank you very much!

Hi, has anyone succeeded to setup RC with Davical and calendar plugins from these guys? https://git.faster-it.com/roundcube_calendar/about/ I have made two attempts, but calendar plugin throws error: [01-Jun-2017 15:44:21 +0300]: <lv2ds8jr> DAV Error: Not authenticated in /usr/share/roundcubemail/plugins/calendar/lib/SabreDAV/lib/OldSabre/DAV/Client.php on line 425 (GET /?_task=calendar) I have debugged that the plugin passes base64 encoded string '%p' instead of real user password to authentication backend. But why and how to fix that - I have no idea really. There is SabreDAV and OldSabre packed inside plugin which makes things even more interesting :/ Once, on my first attempt, I had managed to setup plugin so that it was able to write to CalDAV database, but not able to read (verified from other client). Now I cannot even repeat that with second installation. I get above error message on both GET and POST operations. I suspect it was a configuration thing so maybe that is all that's required to change. But I am not sure. It should be noted that their repository is not without problems, the fork claims a working configuration, but some functions (insert_default_calendar(), _expand_user()) were missing, I had to add them from original sources here: https://gitlab.awesome-it.de/kolab/roundcube-plugins/tree/feature_caldav Any insight appreciated. Hi, yes I did. But I don't know pretty much RC internals :) After next user's login, will his user_id be recreated? In case, is it necessary to manually modify contacts table to make address book working again for specific user? Hi On my first issue: wanting to use different SMTP settings for different hosts, I've found this plugin: https://gitlab.com/kolab-roundcube-plugins/ude-login which is not quite what I wanted but will do. However, I'm still having problems with starttls. There's two situations where I need to check/fix STARTTLS 1. When roundcube accesses a remote IMAP server to fetch mail. 2. When roundcube accesses a remote SMTP server to send mail.
