Hi, I just installed roundcube from SVN and all the requisite dependencies and am pretty excited to start using it! However, I go to the site and I get the login page and I can enter any random name/password and I get the same results: the spinning wheel of death in my browser! I have no idea what is going on inside the black box-- any ideas? Nothing useful in the log file. Thanks, Jason

I was suspecting that I might need a backend IMAP server to run with RCM but wanted to make sure it was an absolute requirement. I suppose I should have noticed the word "client" in the description and that would have answered my question. lol It seems that the server specs and bandwidth aren't going to be that much of a problem as we're going to be using a large datacenter and have plenty of servers setup in clusters. Finding a good, reliable IMAP server is going to be a problem it seems. I'll keep looking and, if anyone happens to have any recommendations, please feel free to forward them my way. Thanks, Anthony

Question about RoundCubeMail setup

Hello, I am new to the list and have a question. I've tried searching the list archives but, for some reason, the links don't do anything when I click on them. So please forgive me if I am asking a question that's been asked before and feel free to point me to an older post that might answer my question if appropriate. I'm setting up a very specialized email service that will ultimately need to support a few hundred thousand users or more. From looking at the code, I am left wondering if I need to install a separate IMAP server or does RoundCubeMail handle it all? If I do need to install an IMAP server, can anyone suggest one in particular? Right now, I'm seriously looking at Cyrus. Thanks! RoundCube Loading without end

Friends, My RoundCube is twirling in a server who has the configured IMAP to collect the users and passwords in server LDAP. Until ai it is functioning very well, the problem is that constantly click in a folder for example and it is appearing a Loading without end. To come back it is necessary to pressure F5 (refresh) to come back to function. It also happens to detach alone. I am being worried, because I go to more than use the RoundCube with a net with 1000 users being used only the webmail. Some suggestion? Hi list I am running SuSE 10 Linux, PHP 4.40. Apache 2, mysql Ver 14.7 Distrib 4.1.13, for suse-linux (x86_64) using readline 5.0 But I am having issues with a PHP error [07-Feb-2007 10:41:04] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: session_set_save_handler() in /srv/www/htdocs/roundcube/program/include/session.inc on line 152 Thus when I type in the browser http://localhost/roundcube I get a black page and no apache 2 errors But I get the above in ~roundcube/logs/errors. I have checked my /etc/php.ini files and I haven't got a session_set_save_handler parameter. Please advice as I'm getting close to my deadline and this is holding me up. Cheers in advance. Hi, I found the key for solve this problem. In my system, the problem has the codification. For my language (catalan - ca), the default codification are UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1, but, when anybody write a message, the default codification are ASCII. In the file program/localization I put this lines: $rcube_charsets = array( 'ca' => 'utf-8', 'es' => 'utf-8' ); but, the system ignore these. For solve this, I put the next lines; $rcube_charsets = array( 'ca' => 'UTF-8', 'es' => 'UTF-8' ); And the system works fine. Thanks a lot. Login Problems with auto_create_user = FALSE

My next place to look would be the database (connection to) or the table itself may be corrupt. The address book data resides in there. Hi All, Finally I found out what broke my php5.2/roundcube, it was my make environment in FreeBSD. My kernel and userland were NO_INET6, but I didn't have WITHOUT_IPV6 set for my ports. Yes, it is. but I don't want to disable it. I mean, you can choose auth type for smtp auth so I wanted to choose what auth type I use for imap auth. MAIL sending problem in rouncube_0.1-beta2.2

Dear developers! When I try to send mail via roundcube I have a loop and nothink sent :-( It don`t try to connect via smtp and don`t run any comans for mail sending. PHP mail setup is coirrect and main.inc.php already setup for mail sending. How to resolve ? With regards, Sergey.

I've experienced similar problems. However, it seems to be a more general problem with RC. Whenever this happens, my CPU goes to 100% util. I added my comments and observations to http://trac.roundcube.net/trac.cgi/ticket/1483956 but it seems that not much is happening there (and I cant do it). I am seeing a problem where a few minutes after the first 5-minute auto-save, the session is terminated and message composition is interrupted, kicking the user back to the start screen. It seems to be ignoring my session_lifetime, which I changed to 90 (minutes) instead of the default 10. I don't think it auto-saves before terminating the session, either. [Now that's user hostile!]. At any rate, commenting out these lines (effectively disabling session timeout) seems to be a temporary workaround. //$message = show_message('sessionerror', 'error'); //rcmail_kill_session(); -- Guy
