Attaching files is not working for me, what am I missing?

Hello list, I can't seem to get attaching files to work (Roundcube 1.0.1, Gentoo Linux, Apache 2.4.9, PHP 5.5.12). Whenever I click "attach a file", select a file and then click "upload", Apache logs messages like these: [core:notice] [pid 9155:tid 140489408571264] AH00052: child pid 9482 exit signal Aborted (6) [core:notice] [pid 9155:tid 140489408571264] AH00052: child pid 9493 exit signal Aborted (6) *** Error in `/usr/sbin/apache2': free(): invalid pointer: 0x00007fc60035f9a8 *** I made sure that $config['temp_dir'] points to a directory writeable by the Apache user. PHP settings ensure that file uploads are allowed. Roundcube reports file_uploads: OK session.auto_start: OK zend.ze1_compatibility_mode: OK mbstring.func_overload: OK suhosin.session.encrypt: OK magic_quotes_runtime: OK magic_quotes_sybase: OK I wonder how to better debug this problem to figure out what I am doing wrong here. Can you guys help me with this? -R

Dear Roundcube users We can proudly announce the first service release to update the stable version 1.0 of Roundcube webmail. It contains some important bug fixes and improvements, primarily a fix for the unintentional redirect from the compose page in Google Chrome which likely started to appear after a recent Chrome update. It's considered stable and we recommend to update all productive installations of Roundcube with this version. Surely the whole point about a test/staging system is any glitches won't impact on the production system. Mixing them the way you suggest would mean any problems with the test system would also impact the live one. Would this not be self defeating ? Testing Roundcube 1.0.x

We expect to upgrade from Roundcube 0.9.5 to 1.0.x over the summer vacation (my management chain and I prefer not to make substantial changes during the academic year). Something that I would like to do if possible is have a period of parallel running so that people can kick the tires and make sure that our small collection of local plugins and our local skin are working correctly for a few days or weeks before we commit to running the new version. I can of course dump and restore the existing Roundcube database to build a completely independent Roundcube 1.0.1 test system off to one side, away from the production servers. Hi, I was wondering if somebody had seen this issue when after initial upgrade from 0.9.5 to 1.0.1 the RC displays only the first three emails. I used ./bin/install.sh <target_dir> for my update. I rolled back to 0.9.5 by removing the newly installed directory and rolling back my previous copy and all emails were displayed again. Below I've copied how my upgrade unfolded, because it had some errors but I don't see how they should have caused the 3 email only issue. Running update script at target... Increase attachment file size in php.ini

Hello, I'd like to be able to send attachment bigger than default 2M size limit. In my php.ini's (I have 2 files, one in /etc/php/cgi, the other in /etc/php/cli), I've changed upload_max_filesize to 10M, but I still cannot send big attachments. Do I need to restart something to make the changes effective? Thanks, -- barul

Roundcube 1.0.0 exits "compose" after a time

On Roundcube 1.0.0, if the user starts composing an email then leaves it for a few (5?) minutes, the software saves the composition to draft then exits back to the inbox. This did not used to happen on 7.1.0. Is there any way to prevent autosave of draft from kicking the user out of Compose?

Cannot resize pages on smartphone on RC upgrade (7.1.0 -> 1.0.0)

Hello, After upgrading Roundcube from 7.1.0 (the repo version for Ubuntu 12.0.4) to 1.0.0 (downloaded from the website), users are reporting that they can no longer resize the page in their smartphone browser. I've confirmed this with Chrome on a Galaxy S3. Two finger dragging no longer works, and thus the software is much more difficult to use on the mobile device. Is there any reason that this functionality was broken from 7.1.0 to 1.0.0? Thank you.

Hello, I have an issue with roundcube webmail, I'm currently using v 0.9.0. Whenever I send attachments in bulk with a new mail, let's say I add 6 files and then 4 more files, I frequently notice that i'm losing attachments. After I send the email I can see that 2-3 attachments are missing. By giving a look at the code I saw that in this portion of the code inside sendmail.inc : /// sort attachments to make sure the order is the same as in the UI (#1488423) if ($files = rcube_utils::get_input_value('_attachments', rcube_utils::INPUT_POST)) { $files = explode(',', $files); $files = array_flip($files); foreach ($files as $idx => $val) { $files[$idx] = $COMPOSE['attachments'][$idx]; unset($COMPOSE['attachments'][$idx]); } $COMPOSE['attachments'] = array_merge(array_filter($files), $COMPOSE['attachments']); }/ The amount of entries inside $files is greater than the ones in $COMPOSE['attachments'] resulting in a leak in the attachments added to the email. Upgrading via Git

Hi, I found the official upgrade directions here: http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Howto_Upgrade http://trac.roundcube.net/browser/github/UPGRADING which goes mentions using the installto.sh script to handle upgrades. However I installed from Git and so far haven't had problems. To upgrade to v1.0 I ran: cd /path/to/my/roundcube/install/dir git fetch git checkout 1.0.0 From what I can tell I'm done, but I wanted to check and see if there is a post-upgrade step I'm missing. Looking over the upgrade guide I don't see mention of any database upgrade steps like MediaWiki or WordPress uses. Am I missing anything? Hello, I have a user trying to forward an email with 5 large attachments from within RoundCube 1.0.0. The process ends with a request timeout. Is this a php timeout or a RoundCube timeout? How do I fix this? Denny

issue with CardDav

Hello! I am using Roundcube 0.9.4. When I delete a contact in CardDav I get the following error in the log: v0.5.1 | carddav_server_id: 6 | CardDAV-Server XML-Response is malformed. Synchronization aborted! I tried to solve this like said in https://github.com/graviox/Roundcube-CardDAV/issues/28 and https://github.com/graviox/Roundcube-CardDAV/issues/29 but that does not fix the problem. Is there a working solution know to this? Greetings Andreas

the password plugin

Hello! I got the password plugin working. The problem I have is that the SASL-users are also located in a MySQL-table named sasl. Now when a user changes her password I want to change also the password in the SASL-table. I tried with two password_queries $rcmail_config['password_query'] = 'UPDATE mailbox SET password=%p WHERE username=%u AND password=%o LIMIT 1'; $rcmail_config['password_query'] = 'UPDATE sasl SET password=%p WHERE username=%u AND password=%o LIMIT 1'; but that does not work. Then I tried the following but that also did not work. $rcmail_config['password_query'] = 'UPDATE mailbox, sasl SET password=%p WHERE username=%u AND password=%o LIMIT 1'; I don't know how to join or concatenate this two queris to one. apache access log entries

Hi Since i updated to RC 1.0 i see incredible long log entries during Autorefresh. Basically i don't care, but webalizer always tells me that the log-line are to long together with an error. Below just a snip from one line: /rc/?_task=mail&_mbox=INBOX.Lists.Roundcube&_folderlist=1&_quota=1&_list=1&_uids=1465%2C1466%2C1467%2C1461%2C1464%2C1462%2C1463%2C1458%2C1460%2C1421%2C1422%2C1424%2C1459%2C1457%2C1453%2C1454%2C1455%2C1456%2C1450%2C1452%2C1451%2C1446%2C1447%2C1448%2C1449%2C1445%2C1435%2 The full entry is much more longer (approx 2700 chars). Regarding: $config['smtp_server'] = ''; The default.inc.php config file notes that: // SMTP server host (for sending mails). // To use SSL/TLS connection, enter hostname with prefix ssl:// or tls:// // If left blank, the PHP mail() function is used Sending messages are slow on my installation when sent via RoundCube (both RoundCube and QMail are on the same server). I'm wondering if supplying actual SMTP server information will have any impact on this. Has anyone had experience in this area? Thanks, Denny

Dragging and dropping emails fails after so many moves

Hi all, I'm posting here to see if others have the same issue before I submit a new bug report for this issue. I have Roundcube 1.0 RC installed with the following plug-ins activated: $config['plugins'] = array( 'managesieve', 'markasjunk', 'identity_select', 'show_additional_headers', 'userinfo', 'password', 'dkimstatus', 'keyboard_shortcuts', 'html5_notifier', 'contextmenu', 'message_highlight', ); After the Inbox fills with a variety of emails I'll manually sort some of them by selecting them (Ctrl + mouse click) and then dragging/dropping into the appropriate folders. This works well the first few times I do it, but at some point I'm no longer able to move them via drag/drop. I've been able to reproduce this in recent versions of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the fix? Thank you for your time.

Threaded messages & Jira ticket tracking.

Hi. First, I have my inbox messages threaded. Next, my company uses Jira (https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira) as our ticket tracking software. Whenever a ticket is updated, a corresponding e-mail is sent out to everyone involved on the ticket. What puzzles me is that when I receive one of these e-mails, all the previous corresponding e-mails show up underneath it -- not the way that threaded messages do, where you need to click the drop-down, just below it. This means that e-mails that are days or even months old show up on top of ones I might have received five minutes ago. Here's an example: http://milliways.jots.org/~ken/nothread.png So -- where would I go about fixing the criteria for threading? Roundcube is clearly recognizing these messages as related, but isn't treating them as a proper thread. I either want it to ignore the older ones, or thread them, but not this weird in-between thing.
