database_attachments plugin loses attachments with multiple upload

Good afternoon, We use the database_attachments plugin which ships with Roundcube so that attachments can be shared between several frontend HTTP servers. Yesterday two separate users reported if they tried to add more than four attachments to a message as a single action (using the + icon on the "Attach a file" popup dialogue) then they ended up with a subset of the attachments in the message which is actually sent. If they add one attachment at a time then things work correctly. I can reproduce the effect using a vanilla Roundcube 0.9.5 installation on my workstation, where database_attachments is the only plugin enabled. The database backend is the version of PostgresSQL which ships with Ubuntu 12.04. However I don't think that this is relevant: I see the same effect using a MySQL database backend (Although the set of attachments which are included seems to be different. I suspect that is down to how long it takes the database to respond). Things work correctly if I disable database_attachments and use the file store instead. While I can probably rig things to work without database_attachments, I would prefer to fix the plugin if that is possible. I'm happy to write this up as a ticket on trac.roundcube.net. I thought that I would just ask here first to see if anyone else had encountered the same problem and had a workaround. a question on zipdownload

Hello all! I activated zipdownload in the config, the php-installation supports it. Attachments are shown for download and in the left corner at the buttom there is also an option to download a zipped folder. Within the plugin I set $rcmail_config['zipdownload_selection'] = true; No how does that work? If I select some messages, now how do I zip and download them? I can't see any possibility to do that. No "remember password" with Chromium or Firefox?

Hello, I'm using Roundcube on my Debian Wheezy headless VPS. Only thing I remember to have changed in configuration is `$rcmail_config['default_host']` set to only host I'm using, so that the login form does not ask for it. I have been using this configuration with Opera and several mailboxes for more than year. However, recently I'm trying Firefox and Chrome and none of them offer me to remember the password. Is this a bug, or I am missing something? Is there a workaround? The exact version number is 0.7.2-9+deb7u1. Thanks, aL. -- Alois Mahdal

Hello. My roundcube does not allow me to login into my mailbox. It just writes: " invalid request no data was saved " I enabled all logging settings in main.inc.php $rcmail_config['smtp_log'] = true; $rcmail_config['log_logins'] = true; $rcmail_config['log_session'] = true; $rcmail_config['sql_debug'] = true; $rcmail_config['imap_debug'] = true; /srv/www/roundcube/logs/errors is empty. no button to add new identities in roundcube 0.9.2 version

Salam Everyone, I'm a new user of roundcube, a great project. I was asked to add identities to a user in our company, and when clicking on Settings->Identities, I see the already set identity, but no button on the web page to add or create an identity. What is the problem, should I activate something..? is it a bug ? How can i do what i want to do with roundcube. Dear Roundcube users We just published new releases which fix a recently reported vulnerability that allows an attacker to overwrite configuration settings using user preferences. This can result in random file access, manipulated SQL queries and even code execution. The latter one only affects versions 0.8.6 and older. Beside the security fix, the 0.9.5 release also includes other minor bug fixes and improvements. Most notably it brings the default spell checker back after Google suspended their public spell checking service. Please update your installations with the new versions or patch them with the fixes listed below for the various older versions of Roundcube. DB upgrading schema problem

Hi everyone i am beginning in a new place and i found a really old roundcube version 0.5.3 i try to upgrade to 0.9.4 manually but i get stuck with the database schema update, the back end is postgresql the error is Updating database schema (2013011000)... [OK] DB Schema: NOT OK(Database schema differs) Missing table 'cache_index' Missing table 'cache_thread' Missing table 'cache_messages' Missing columns in table 'contacts': words Missing table 'dictionary' Missing table 'searches' >From the webgui i select the proper version from where i am trying to update but nothing changes tables are still missing, any idea how to fix this.Thanks in advance. Hi folks, before I delve into this myself... and my SQL is a bit rusty :-( Is there an approach (script) already, that takes a list (perhaps csv or aliases) to populate the users and identities tables (and more, in case I am not aware) in the DB? Opening 2 addresses at same time and changing font

Hello I'm really not very tech savvy, sorry. Our organisation has FINALLY managed to work out how we can have .org.au addresses and access them from home - I have 2 and it is handy if I can have them open at the same time rather than logging out and logging in numerous times over the course of the day. Also, it would be great if I could change font sizes, colours etc as I like to highlight aspects of the mail I send out, hoping that people will actually read it .ha. Can I do either of these things through the roundcube 'system'? Thanks for your help/advice, Kelly

New Roundcube Deployment

We switched our main University Webmail service (30k users) to Roundcube on Monday: https://webmail.hermes.cam.ac.uk/ On the whole the deployment has gone well (if we discount a foul up on my part which isn't relevant to this list). Two issues have arisen: First a number of people (in particular elderly, important, Professors) have complained about the fonts and colour scheme used by the Larry theme. In particular the fact that there is no way to increase the size of the font. I don't suppose that plugins exist that would allow people to change the font size? Failing that do people find that the Classic theme is considered an acceptable alternative? At the moment I have disabled that simply because the Larry theme is a better fit to our new University house style. Secondly, a number of people report that Firefox (all the reports to date mention Firefox 22 on MacOS, but that may be a red herring) ships with a popup blocker enabled which blocks the "Send" button after a message has been composed: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pop-blocker-settings-exceptions-trouble… Firefox on my Linux workstation doesn't have any problems, even with the popup blocker enabled. Slightly more alarmingly we have had one report (and only one report to date) where the Send button only works intermittently, which is harder to blame on a popup blocker. I don't suppose that anyone else on this list has had similar experiences? Disabling Addressbook in Roundcube

Hi, wanting to disable the addressbook, I set /$rcmail_config['address_book_type'] = ''; /in /main.inc.php/. The comment above the option says /// This indicates which type of address book to use. Sorry for first incomplete email! Hi, I'm running roundcube 0.3.1 on a Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Server and planning to set up a complete new Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server with roundcube 0.7.1 at another hoster (so there is no way just to make a dist upgrade). Roundcube 0.3.1 was installed from the Ubuntu repository and because of security updates I'd like to use Ubuntu packages on the new server too. What would be a good way to migrated the mysql database from the old to the new server? Just dump it, restore on the new server and then tell the 0.7.1 to use this old database? Cheers Marcus

I'm amazed that I can not locate a plugin, but I'm sure one must exist, on 2013, that allows eaxh user to add customer headers if they want, some users need to add the security headers, some even want to add their PGP header, but no obvious way to do it. Am I having a blonde moment? Nikki

disable inline attachments

Hello, We are trying to stop inline attachment viewing of attached messages. This is because our anti spam software sends an email warning and attaches the spam, with its usual blurb if you know the risks open attachment, but Roundcube displays the spam messages anyway, is there a way to sop this? Making thme click on the message attached link to be able to view it? I have tried ['client_mimetypes'] setting to '' but I think it interprets this as NULL, the default, which displays set types. I'm only concerned with not showing irrelevant UI, not proposing that access control depends on whether or not the UI is hidden. Of course if someone logs into that special archive account in regular mode (or with another client), they should not be permitted to mess with the contents. For my purposes, it would be good enough that nobody knows the name of this account or is password.
