Dear subscribers Today we can announce another service release of the Roundcube webmail package. This update adds small bug fixes and improvements to the 0.8 stable series. It also fixes a possible, although unintended, DoS to the webserver running Roundcube. See http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Changelogfor details. plugin configuration override and rpm

Hello, I am using Fedora17 and a rpm version of roundcube. On this rpm packaging, configuration main.inc.php and db.inc.php are both stored in /etc/roundcubemail/ Also, I use the managesieve plugin and I have to modify the plugin port from 2000 to 4190 in the plugin configuration setting (/usr/share/roundcubemail/plugins/managesieve/config.inc.php) As the RPM package updates from time to time, the config.inc.php gets overridden. I have without success to set the port in the main.inc.php. Is there a standard way or a best practice to set $rcmail_config['managesieve_port'] = 4190; in /etc/roundcube/..... that allows to override any previous setting? Thanks,

How can I modify my default sender e-mail address?

Dear Roundcube Users, I have installed a roundcube webmail to my website: http://hollozoltan.extra.hu/roundcubemail/ But my webmail client use this e-mail address: no-reply(a)hollozoltan.extra.hu instead of my default e-mail address: hollozoltan(a)extra.hu In which configuration file can I modify this settings? Running filters manually?

Hello Is there any way to run a filter manually? It suppose to go through the existing messages in the inbox and move the ones matching the criteria. The filter seems to work on new messages but not on old ones. Cheers B.

Adressbook : VCARD : REV

Hello, I try to write in english. Today I've updatet an existing contact/person. In the VCARD from this person is a 'REV:'-tag. This tag is not updatet. I think that I'm using roundcube 0.82. MTA Issue

I have configure the roundcube to use postfix mta to send outbound mail. It appears as if roundcube is using the postfix mta as a smtp relay. Is it possible to configure roundcube to connect to postfix as client? Thanks in advance.

Issues with Plugin contextmenu 1.9 and RC 0.8.2

Hi there, anybody using contextmenu 1.9 with RC 0.8.2 here without any problems? What I'm seeing is that contextmenu seems to use the Larry skin no matter which skin the user decided to use. This leads to a pretty strange (and larry-like) display upon right-clicking on a mail when using the default skin. The last entry in the change log of v1.9 is saying: > 2012 01 21 > ========== > * Update after r5781 > * Add inital support for Larry But it appears that contextmenu v1.9 does support the Larry skin ONLY from this point on...? I tried to downgrade to contextmenu v1.8, but that leads to even stranger results with RC 0.8.2 (no left hand icons at all anymore, the text of the menu items is exceeding the borders of the menu etc.). RC 0.8.2 Formatting with SpamAssassin plugin sauserprefs

Hi, Upgraded from 0.7.n to 0.8.2 . Noticed the SpamAssassin plugin sauserprefs is poorly formatted. Other plugins seems to display well. Does anyone know how to get around this? Screenshot attached. Password change with roundcube

Hello all! A question about the password plugin. When I login to my email-account with roundcube, I connect to the service that runs on port 143 and ask there, if I may login, right? dovecot is running on port 143 and looks in his passwordfile and permits the login or does not, right? For sending email, sasldb is used on MTA-side to permit sending or not. So when I want to use the passwd-plugin with sasl, it only changes the passwd in the sasldb for sending email, the password in the passwordfile of dovecot is not changed and the user must login with the password once specified, right? Is there a way, to let the users change their password themselves without requiering administrative intervention? Kind regards Andreas

There are two $this->db_handle->isError() calls in ./program/include/rcube_mdb2.php. That has been removed in master. Please open a ticket with Roundcube to get them to change the calls to MDB2::isError().

Dear maintainers and developers of RoundCube, I am really impressed with the new design and functionality in RoundCube. It is well laid out, easy on the eyes and looks very professional. The editing functions are great. The artwork fits very well. Good morning everyone, Today tried to upgrade 0.7.n to 0.8.2. I admit to have never used the installto.sh script before - I did it manually in the past. Most likely someone else ran into this - I googled and admit to not finding much. # bin/installto.sh /w3/roundcubemail ERROR: Wrong 'suhosin.session.encrypt' option value. Read REQUIREMENTS section in INSTALL file or use Roundcube Installer, please! Hi, the summary plugin from the myroundcube plugin bundle is using a function clear_mailbox (program/include/rcube_imap.php) This function exists in 0.7 but is missing in 0.8.2. Any reason for removing this function? Thanks Willi

obtaining complete Email Headers with IP addresses

If anyone knows how to obtain the IP address of sender's of emails when both users are Roundcube email users, please let me know. I am trying to determine the actual IP address of the senders of emails. We are both Roundcube users but we have different internet service providers. Roundcube does have a facility to show some Header source but it does not show actual IP addresses. Is there some way to determine the actual IP address from whence the sender sent the email when they were using the Roundcube system and sending their email to another Roundcube user? Any help is very greatly appreciated. David

Hello, I have some people twice in my roundcube-adressbook. The first entry with a lower-case mail-address and the same person with the same mail-address, but upper-case! Hi All, I think this question has already been done many times but from online documentation I have not found a solution. I would need to be able to see all my mail, on different IMAP servers and different accounts, entering RC once or by opening multiple instances of RC on different tab of the same browser. >From the documentation I understand that you can not see multiple IMAP servers simultaneously from a single RC. I also tried to use RC on different tab of the same browser but it gives error on sessions. I tried with both PHP sessions or putting them on a database, it does not work. Is There a plugin, at least, to siwtch quickly from one server to another ? However RC works very well I am fully satisfied. Upgrading to 0.8.2 - any plugins not work?

I'm thinking about upgrading to 0.8.2 but wanted to see if anyone had any issues with plugins. The ones I have installed are: 'managesieve', 'markasjunk2', 'password', 'rcguard', 'forward', -- During my initial install, I had issues with markasjunk2 - i think that the version I was trying to install only worked with the svn version of RC. (or at least that's what I thought) Should these be ok? Any issues so far with any of them? Also, I love the plugin community. I've been able to completely switch away from my former webmail package and users have been thrilled with Roundcube. markasjunk2 is one of my favorites. I have it feeding spamassassin and razor2. :-) cheers! -- j
