Roundtrip address book export/import broken

Hello list: After resolving several issues in LDAP with your help (see other threads), I am now confident to move all contacts to a private LDAP address book. In that process, I realised that the export/import functionality of RC does not seem to work 100%, as exporting works, but re-importing the resulting file into RC does not! How to reproduce: 1) Open Address Book 2) Select several contacts and export to a VCF file (results in a single rcube_contacts.vcf file with all contacts in it) 3) Select a new empty (e.g. LDAP) address book 4) "Import Contacts", and select the single VCF file created in step 2) above 5) The import process fails Expected result: successful re-import of all contacts that we exported before into a new empty address book. Actual result: "Successfully imported 0 contacts." Importing several VCF files that contain only 1 contact per VCF seem to work fine, but of course manually importing individual files is not practical beyond a handful of contacts... I originally had "Problem connecting to Gmail's IMAP server?" but I copied and pasted the body into the header (by accident, I don't know what I was doing...) and completely forgot to change it back. Also, since this is my first time using a mailing list, I'm not sure how to reply to emails. Plugins contextmenu and keyboard_shortcuts incompatible? And session timeouts again...!

We have contextmenu 1.8 and keyboard_shortcuts 1.4 under RC 0.7.2 installed, and it appears that they are incompatible. The scenario is: Once you have "used" contextmenu just one time (that is, you have right-clicked on a folder or message), keyboard_shortcuts does not respond anymore to any key. Another issue with keyboard_shortcuts (not related to contextmenu) is that if you press the "?" key to display the shortcut help, all of a sudden vertical and horizontal scrollbars do appear and cause a sort of "flicker" because of the screen redraw. And there are some missing strings, but that's a minor issue. All in all, keyboard_shortcuts looks a bit outdated. I've disabled it for now. But, much more important: In the middle of composing this message, I've been thrown back to the RC login screen again because of an invalid or expired session for the %&"!§?= time (see other threads). And while writing this sentence, a red "Request timed out!" at the top of the screen came up. This all is really frustrating and anything but stable. Installing Plugins

After being able to install the new version 0.7.2 thru Softaculous, I would like to know if it is possible to download the available plugins for roundcube within Softaculous? My shared hosting plan with kvchosting, said they will not allow me to install plugins thru my cpanel with fear that it could break it, so how else can these plugins be installed, or am I out of luck?

How to diff/patch this stuff?

Hi RC folks, there have recently been some fixes and code optimizations to the 'contextmenu' plugin, which I wanted to try to backport to our current plugin version which we are using together with RC 0.7.2. The changes were committed to the 0.8 branch of this plugin only, so I wasn't sure if I can simply replace our plugin version with the 0.8 one because of possible incompatibilities - that's why I wanted to extract the changes. I downloaded a zip file with the latest code from https://github.com/JohnDoh/Roundcube-Plugin-Context-Menu/tree/741e41732356c… (as it's pretty small, I'm attaching it here). There are two issues which are not clear to me: 1) The file the relevant changes were committed to is "jquery.contextMenu.js". Looking at this file in the attached zip, the entire code appears to be in just one single line. Looking at the same file in our plugin directory ./plugins/contextmenu/, the code is, well, just "normal", line by line. I have no idea how to diff/patch this and why the files are looking that different. Does anybody else...? 2) The file "contextmenu.php" in the attached zip contains a line "* @version @package_version@". Apparently @package_version@ needs to be replaced by the information contained in "package.xml", but how to do this (if not manually)...? With this step we hope to make it easier for anybody to get the source and to contribute patches and improvements. Old version keeps showing up in my browser

When I log in on any browser, the older version of roundcube is on the screen - see attachment for screenshot. Your session is invalid or expired

I'm getting this issue with Roundcube 0.8-beta. It currently only happens with IE9 as soon as I login, I get logged out with the "Your session is invalid or expired" message. It doesn't happen to me in Firefox nor Chrome. This is a new migrated install. I see, by googling, that many people ask "Are you behind a proxy?" when this problem surfaces. Well yes, I am, I'm behind a Squid Caching Reverse Proxy which is also stripping SSL as well as behind a Apache director reverse proxy. Unfortunately, in the 'googled' posts I have seen, although this question is often asked, I don't see any further reference to it? What are the issues with being behind a proxy? I have tried the various fixes that have been suggested, but the problem still occurs with IE9. Firefox is fine (I'm using it to compose this message in Roundcube).

Address format and multiple addresses in Reply-To and Bcc / Identities (0.7.2)

Hi there, I'm having a problem to fill the "Reply-To" and "Bcc" entries under Identities in the way I need to. Simply said, I'd just like to enter a) more than just one address , and b) to enter them in the format: Real Name <local.part(a)do.main> Real Name <local.part(a)do.main>, Real Name <local.part(a)do.main1> Unfortunately both scenarios don't work, as RC is complaining about an invalid address (although the address(es) and their format are perfectly valid). Entering just two comma-separated addresses (without real names) leads to the same result. I've managed to solve the problem partially with this quick hack in save_identity.inc: -------------------------------------------------------- // Validate e-mail addresses - foreach (array('email', 'reply-to', 'bcc') as $item) { + foreach (array('email') as $item) { -------------------------------------------------------- (I know that an array with just one item doesn't look very smart, but as a PHP noob and former TP developer this was the easiest way for me to do it without having to deal with syntax problems.) Now I can at least enter multiple addresses in Reply-To and Bcc this way: local.part(a)do.main, local.part(a)do.main1 But as soon as I add the real names in the format above, all I'm getting after clicking the Save button is: Real Name, Real Name Addresses are stripped entirely. Hmmm... For the moment I'd be happy with a temporary hack that will just disable ANY address validation at these two particular places - but without breaking anything somewehere else. I wasn't able to find a way myself (especially the function rcube_idn_to_ascii is called that often recursively that I got totally lost). I desperately need this for business purposes. As long as it's not required by dots, "@" or other specific chars in the real name (see RFC xxxx), Mozilla produces a From: header like this: > From: Real Name <local.part(a)do.main> The lazy folks at MS (e.g. Outlook) do always include the header in quote chars like this, no matter what: > From: "Real Name" <local.part(a)do.main> When replying to a mail, Roundcube 0.7.2 strips the real name in the To: header, if it is enclosed in quote chars. Good morning, I am experiancing a problem logging in with both sarah(a)decozonestates.com and info(a)decozonestates.com. I logged in successfully on monday to sarah(a)decozonestates.com and saw the new layout and info(a)decozonestates.com which still had the old layout but now I can not login to either? Can you help? Aborted sessions, lost server connections: browser issues...? (0.7.2)

Currently I'm following the thread "RoundCube session aborting" very attentively for one reason: It's the main show stopper why we can't finally kick Squirrel from our server yet. I'm using RC intensively (I do not even have a local mail client installed), and I had to face lots of aborted seesions and lost server connections during "normal" usage of RC, in the worst case even in the middle of composing a message (losing most of the already written text, as the "Automatically save draft every x minutes" function does sometimes also not work too reliable - in the beginning it's working, but after a while - I'm sometimes writing longer messages which may take an hour or more - it often seems just to quit it's job). I can't describe every single scenario here, as they are simply too many and hard to replicate. It happens just out of the blue, and you can't predict when. But: My impression in the meantime is that this might be an issue between RC and the browser (in my case IE8). And no hints such as "use FF" or the like, please, this wouldn't solve the problem. One interesting scenario that I had (and that's why I believe that it may be an RC<->Browser issue): After sending a message (from a new window, compose_newwindow 3.00 plugin installed, option activated), RC did not react at all anymore to any click or key after I tried to change from the INBOX to the Sent folder. After a while the error message "Request timed out!" was thrown. From this point on, RC was completely unusable. I'm skipping some details now: Even worse, I couldn't load the RC login page again. Entering the appropriate URL, IE8 did not even attempt to contact the server (no progress bar in the status bar seen at all), displayed a blank page, and said "Finished" or "Ready" in the lower left corner of the status bar (not sure how the term for the German term "Fertig" in an English version of IE is). Even more worse: I couldn't even load ANY web page of the domain in question anymore. So if your webmail URL is www.do.main/webmail/, and your home page is accessible under www.do.main/, even the latter one could not be loaded. BUT: Then, for the first time in my life and just for testing purposes, I used the "InPrivate" mode of IE8. What can I tell ... it worked instantly, I could load the RC login page and all other web pages of the same domain, could login into RC and work with it (while the still open parallel IE window in standard mode was still not attempting to contact the server). Sent messages not saved in Sent folder.

Hi, I am using roundcube with cyrus-imapd and messages sent from roundcube are not stored in the Sent folder. The messages are successfully sent with no error messages displayed. Messages sent from Thunderbird are saved to the Sent folder. Does anyone have a similar problem? Please help, I can't figure out whats causing this. Thanks. -- Amadou

Search body only? (0.7.2)

Am I missing something or is it indeed not possible in RC 0.7.2 to invoke a string search in the body (and ONLY in the body) of a message...? The available options I can see are "Subject", "From", "To", "Copy", "Bcc" and "Entire message" (the latter one apparently including all headers). Given these options and selecting the last one, a search for "priority" for instance results in thousands of (pretty useless) hits. That's not what a user would expect and may find helpful. Plugin show_additional_headers does not show all headers

We have show_additional_headers 1.0 installed and activated, but due to some reason it does for instance not show the headers "Content-Type" and "Content-Transfer-Encoding". It shows "User-Agent", "Mailer", "X-Newsreader" and the like, though. Is this deliberate? The string "content" does not even exist in show_additional_headers.php, so I can't find any exclusions. There is a version 1.1 available at http://trac.roundcube.net/browser/trunk/plugins/show_additional_headers?rev…, can this be safely used with RC 0.7.2? Automatically move the email read in a other folder when I exit

Hi All, Is there a plugin or a configuration that moves the emails that I just read in another folder when i exit from RQ ? My problem is that I using the Mbox file format of the incoming mail is growing enormously, and when it reaches 2 GB is not possible to add more emails. Thanks Marco
