cannot send attachments when using "open_basedir"

roundcube: PHP Warning: tempnam(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File() is not within the allowed path(s) Even setting the root (/) directory in open_basedir it does not work, the only way is to disable open_basedir. Is it a known issue? Roundcube 0.5 - Disk Usage

Dear Sirs: Good aftenoon. I have a Mail Server with Postfix, Courier, MySQL and Roundcube as Webmail. I need some help, as I can´t make the Disk Space Bar include the Trash folder in the total percentage, only adds Sent and Cur folders to show the Free Space available. Please, may someone tell me where do I have to configure this, I´ve been trying to find an answer on the Web, but I couldn´t. Thank you very much for your kind attention. Hello All, I've got a problem with answering to a mailinglist. The way I work to make sure everything gets in the right folder I use a different e-mailadres for every mailinglist. All the mails arrive thanks to a cach all, so that isn't the problem. But when I want to reply to a mailinglist the from adres is always my default mailadres, and I'd like that to be the right adres for the mailinglist right away. Hi there, I am running RC 0.5.2 on Debian Squeeze and Apache/2.2.16 (Debian) mod_fastcgi/2.4.6 mod_ssl/2.2.16 OpenSSL/0.9.8o mod_defensible/1.2 configured All worked well until I did an apt-get upgrade, which changed many Apache related apps. Now, when a user hits the roundcube page this message is seen in the logs, and a 500 sent back to the client: SoftException in Application.cpp:350: UID of script "/web/roundcube/index.php" is smaller than min_uid Does anyone know what this might mean? It worked until the upgrade. Trash problem with 0.6

Hello, since the upgrade from 0.5.3 to 0.6 I have a problem when some users try to delete messages in their INBOX. The error is: "UID COPY: Client tried to access nonexistent namespace. (Mailbox name should probably be prefixed with: INBOX.)." This appens only on mailbox that have INBOX as namespace, I use Dovecot 2.0.x as IMAP server so when it is configured as: namespace { inbox = yes location = prefix = INBOX. separator = . type = private } On servers without namespace configured I have no trouble (always Dovecot as IMAP server) I can fix the error simply by Settings, Special Folders, "Save". Password Plugin - PAM Driver fails

Hi list, I have roundcube working fine on FreeBSD. Recently enabled the password plugin with the PAM driver. Once authenticated with my own account, a try to change my password but it fails. The log says: [02-Oct-2011 17:39:36 -0430]: PHP Error: Password plugin: PAM authentication failed for user amijares: in /usr/local/www/roundcube/plugins/password/drivers/pam.php on line 24 (POST /?_task=settings&_action=plugin.password-save?_task=&_action=) I read the README and installed the pecl-pam module for PHP too. I've noticed that RC made a big leap forward recently. But since we run on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS servers, we still have the RC version in the repo of that Ubuntu release. I think it is 0.4... Is it possible that the latest version will be made available in some backport repo? Or is this the wrong place to ask? Logout after sending message

Hello all, after upgrading RC from 0.5.3 to 0.6-rc at least two users on our server are experiencing a strange problem. They compose a message and send it. The message gets send and the user gets logged out. It has nothing to do with the browser cache and/or cookies, at least with one of the users who I spoke with directly. One user is running Win7/IE9, the other XP/FF5. Any ideas? Any thoughts? I'm kinda stuck here... orphaned entries in roundcube MySQL database

I employed the services of a php programmer to create a routine to remove users from roundcube 'completely'. This routine also verifies if (perhaps) someone has tried to remove a user directly thru phpMyAdmin, and has created orphaned records. You also can delete any specific roundcube user and all related entries easily and cleanly. a tarball has been placed on my ftp site. This has been tested with both 0.5.1 & 0.5.4... MySQL only. IMAP prefix

Is it possible to set the IMAP prefix 0.6rc? I have tried the following settings and nothing seems to work. imap_ns_personal imap_root What I want is to constrain the folders to the mail directory in people's home directories. Some folders can be set in the Special Folders section, but I would prefer to constrain it at the system level. Thanks for any information. Dear all, After a day of investigation I approach this list for the first time. Let me please send this "schematic" email with all my findings so far. THE PROBLEM I am desperately searching a Free webmail client with message threading support. HYPOTHESIS I see that roundcube has extensive support for message threading although it needs server-side assistance to perform the threading sort. Unfortunately my IMAP server (MS Exchange, out of my control) does not seem to cooperate at least in announcing this capability. Message threading can still be done as my desktop clients (claws-mail and thunderbird) proof in a daily basis :). VERIFYING THE HYPOTHESIS * Roundcube 0.6-rc1 requires server side support for message threading. http://lists.roundcube.net/mail-archive/users/2011-08/0000028.html (this link also suggests an initial approach to restablish client-side threading support) * My IMAP server does not provide this support This seems to be based on the THREAD capability of the IMAP server. In program/steps/settings/func.inc there is an interesting switch. $threading_supported = $RCMAIL->imap->get_capability('THREAD'); OPEN QUESTIONS: Is there a way in roundcube to trace the IMAP traffic? Although I guess that if I don't have the threading options displayed in folder settings is because roundcube has already parsed the capabilities from the server correctly. WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO ASK YOU: POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS AND APPROACHES ---------------------------- * Switching to other webmail client. Have already tried Squirrelmail and I already like roundcube much more. However I accept suggestions. * "Forcing" roundcube to "force" the THREAD command on the server despite not being announced in capabilities (by disabling the hiding of the options at first). * Figuring out how to recover client-side thread sorting in roundcube as a Fallback when the server does not implement it. 0.5.4 Roundcube display broken with lighttpd

Hello, I've searched the archives, google, and posted on the forums. Trying here as well as none of the apparent solutions suggested elsewhere are working. on apache server, login screen looks OK: http://i52.tinypic.com/f2t2tc.png on lighttpd server, it looks broken: http://i52.tinypic.com/wgsqde.jpg Notice missing box and obvious misalignment on the lighttpd screenshot. Also, upon logging in, the icons and text are misaligned to the point the site cannot be used. We need to get RC working on lighttpd, but since there are no errors being reported in any logs as far as I can tell, I'm a little perplexed about how to troubleshoot.
