Dear Roundcube users We can proudly announce the first service release to update the stable version 1.0 of Roundcube webmail. It contains some important bug fixes and improvements, primarily a fix for the unintentional redirect from the compose page in Google Chrome which likely started to appear after a recent Chrome update. It's considered stable and we recommend to update all productive installations of Roundcube with this version. Surely the whole point about a test/staging system is any glitches won't impact on the production system. Mixing them the way you suggest would mean any problems with the test system would also impact the live one. Would this not be self defeating ? Testing Roundcube 1.0.x

We expect to upgrade from Roundcube 0.9.5 to 1.0.x over the summer vacation (my management chain and I prefer not to make substantial changes during the academic year). Something that I would like to do if possible is have a period of parallel running so that people can kick the tires and make sure that our small collection of local plugins and our local skin are working correctly for a few days or weeks before we commit to running the new version. I can of course dump and restore the existing Roundcube database to build a completely independent Roundcube 1.0.1 test system off to one side, away from the production servers. Upgrade from 0.95 to 1.0.1 : only first three emails displayed

Hi, I was wondering if somebody had seen this issue when after initial upgrade from 0.9.5 to 1.0.1 the RC displays only the first three emails. I used ./bin/install.sh <target_dir> for my update. I rolled back to 0.9.5 by removing the newly installed directory and rolling back my previous copy and all emails were displayed again. Below I've copied how my upgrade unfolded, because it had some errors but I don't see how they should have caused the 3 email only issue. Running update script at target... Increase attachment file size in php.ini

Hello, I'd like to be able to send attachment bigger than default 2M size limit. In my php.ini's (I have 2 files, one in /etc/php/cgi, the other in /etc/php/cli), I've changed upload_max_filesize to 10M, but I still cannot send big attachments. Do I need to restart something to make the changes effective? Thanks, -- barul

Roundcube 1.0.0 exits "compose" after a time

On Roundcube 1.0.0, if the user starts composing an email then leaves it for a few (5?) minutes, the software saves the composition to draft then exits back to the inbox. This did not used to happen on 7.1.0. Is there any way to prevent autosave of draft from kicking the user out of Compose?

Cannot resize pages on smartphone on RC upgrade (7.1.0 -> 1.0.0)

Hello, After upgrading Roundcube from 7.1.0 (the repo version for Ubuntu 12.0.4) to 1.0.0 (downloaded from the website), users are reporting that they can no longer resize the page in their smartphone browser. I've confirmed this with Chrome on a Galaxy S3. Two finger dragging no longer works, and thus the software is much more difficult to use on the mobile device. Is there any reason that this functionality was broken from 7.1.0 to 1.0.0? Thank you.

Attachments Issue

Hello, I have an issue with roundcube webmail, I'm currently using v 0.9.0. Whenever I send attachments in bulk with a new mail, let's say I add 6 files and then 4 more files, I frequently notice that i'm losing attachments. After I send the email I can see that 2-3 attachments are missing. By giving a look at the code I saw that in this portion of the code inside sendmail.inc : /// sort attachments to make sure the order is the same as in the UI (#1488423) if ($files = rcube_utils::get_input_value('_attachments', rcube_utils::INPUT_POST)) { $files = explode(',', $files); $files = array_flip($files); foreach ($files as $idx => $val) { $files[$idx] = $COMPOSE['attachments'][$idx]; unset($COMPOSE['attachments'][$idx]); } $COMPOSE['attachments'] = array_merge(array_filter($files), $COMPOSE['attachments']); }/ The amount of entries inside $files is greater than the ones in $COMPOSE['attachments'] resulting in a leak in the attachments added to the email. Upgrading via Git

Hi, I found the official upgrade directions here: http://trac.roundcube.net/wiki/Howto_Upgrade http://trac.roundcube.net/browser/github/UPGRADING which goes mentions using the installto.sh script to handle upgrades. However I installed from Git and so far haven't had problems. To upgrade to v1.0 I ran: cd /path/to/my/roundcube/install/dir git fetch git checkout 1.0.0 From what I can tell I'm done, but I wanted to check and see if there is a post-upgrade step I'm missing. Looking over the upgrade guide I don't see mention of any database upgrade steps like MediaWiki or WordPress uses. Am I missing anything? For reference this is what I see in the "About" (upper left-hand corner): Roundcube Webmail 1.0.0 [GIT 20140405.0225] Thanks! P.S. Sending this from a Roundcube Webmail 1.0.0 installation. issue with CardDav

Hello! I am using Roundcube 0.9.4. When I delete a contact in CardDav I get the following error in the log: v0.5.1 | carddav_server_id: 6 | CardDAV-Server XML-Response is malformed. Synchronization aborted! I tried to solve this like said in https://github.com/graviox/Roundcube-CardDAV/issues/28 and https://github.com/graviox/Roundcube-CardDAV/issues/29 but that does not fix the problem. the password plugin

Hello! I got the password plugin working. The problem I have is that the SASL-users are also located in a MySQL-table named sasl. Now when a user changes her password I want to change also the password in the SASL-table. I tried with two password_queries $rcmail_config['password_query'] = 'UPDATE mailbox SET password=%p WHERE username=%u AND password=%o LIMIT 1'; $rcmail_config['password_query'] = 'UPDATE sasl SET password=%p WHERE username=%u AND password=%o LIMIT 1'; but that does not work. Then I tried the following but that also did not work. $rcmail_config['password_query'] = 'UPDATE mailbox, sasl SET password=%p WHERE username=%u AND password=%o LIMIT 1'; I don't know how to join or concatenate this two queris to one. apache access log entries

Hi Since i updated to RC 1.0 i see incredible long log entries during Autorefresh. Basically i don't care, but webalizer always tells me that the log-line are to long together with an error. Below just a snip from one line: /rc/?_task=mail&_mbox=INBOX.Lists.Roundcube&_folderlist=1&_quota=1&_list=1&_uids=1465%2C1466%2C1467%2C1461%2C1464%2C1462%2C1463%2C1458%2C1460%2C1421%2C1422%2C1424%2C1459%2C1457%2C1453%2C1454%2C1455%2C1456%2C1450%2C1452%2C1451%2C1446%2C1447%2C1448%2C1449%2C1445%2C1435%2 The full entry is much more longer (approx 2700 chars). Regarding: $config['smtp_server'] = ''; The default.inc.php config file notes that: // SMTP server host (for sending mails). // To use SSL/TLS connection, enter hostname with prefix ssl:// or tls:// // If left blank, the PHP mail() function is used Sending messages are slow on my installation when sent via RoundCube (both RoundCube and QMail are on the same server). Dragging and dropping emails fails after so many moves

Hi all, I'm posting here to see if others have the same issue before I submit a new bug report for this issue. I have Roundcube 1.0 RC installed with the following plug-ins activated: $config['plugins'] = array( 'managesieve', 'markasjunk', 'identity_select', 'show_additional_headers', 'userinfo', 'password', 'dkimstatus', 'keyboard_shortcuts', 'html5_notifier', 'contextmenu', 'message_highlight', ); After the Inbox fills with a variety of emails I'll manually sort some of them by selecting them (Ctrl + mouse click) and then dragging/dropping into the appropriate folders. This works well the first few times I do it, but at some point I'm no longer able to move them via drag/drop. I've been able to reproduce this in recent versions of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the fix? Thank you for your time.

Threaded messages & Jira ticket tracking.

Hi. First, I have my inbox messages threaded. Next, my company uses Jira (https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira) as our ticket tracking software. Whenever a ticket is updated, a corresponding e-mail is sent out to everyone involved on the ticket. What puzzles me is that when I receive one of these e-mails, all the previous corresponding e-mails show up underneath it -- not the way that threaded messages do, where you need to click the drop-down, just below it. This means that e-mails that are days or even months old show up on top of ones I might have received five minutes ago. Here's an example: http://milliways.jots.org/~ken/nothread.png So -- where would I go about fixing the criteria for threading? Roundcube is clearly recognizing these messages as related, but isn't treating them as a proper thread. I either want it to ignore the older ones, or thread them, but not this weird in-between thing. Attachments whose names has accented characters issue

Hi, I have problem when I want to see emails that have attachments whose names has accented characters (á, é, ñ, etc.) When I receive an email with attachment whose name has accented characters, the attachment is ignored. Hello, I have a server running QmailToaster and Roundcube Webmail .0.9.5 I have one user who gets her apostrophies replace with ' No other users complain of this. I can't reproduce the issue. The only way she knows it's happened is when the user replies back to her. I think it's happening on the other end but before I start directing the blame else where I want to know if anyone else has seen this issue. Thoughts? Denny

Hello Everybody, i'm having a hard time getting RC to work with the "password"-Plugin. Even though the DSN is set to @10.0.1.51 (MySQL with the Users/PW) RC tries to connect to the DB @10.0.1.52, it's own IP-Address (RC with local MySQL), where it obviously fails with the error message stated below, when trying to change the password. Picture Signature

Hi there, Im sure im not the only one but really...ive searched online for the last hour to understand how to add a picture to my signature and till cant find the answer anywhere. I've tried to link to a page i host which only contains the picture using the following code: <a href="http://www.project-33.com.au/logo.html">www.project-33.com.au</a> And i also tried: <img src="http://www.project-33.com.au/logo.html"> In both cases i first selected the html box and then pasted the code. All i see after i save this information and open a new email, is the exact text without formatting. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out, i would love to have a more professional signature then just plain text. Thanks in advance! Saskia PS: I am using my personal email (saskiapoppema(a)gmail.com) because my hosting company needed to re-direct stuff (or something) and i cant receive emails for 48 hours on my business account.

Persistent Login Plugin: Can't logout

Hello, I'm using the persistent-login plugin: http://www.insanefactory.com/roundcube-persistent-login-plugin/ When I activate the remember feature at the login page I can't logout anymore. Pressing Log Out brings me back to the login form, but simply doing a reload or visiting roundcube at a later time automatically logs me in again. Is this bug known? Any workaround? Is AuthToken working better? I use the UserData cookie method, browser is Chromium on Linux. Thanks, Florian

Hello. Some of my mail users use 'mail.mydom.org' instead of 'mydom.org' for their domain part of email address, this happend due to incorrect value in 'mail_domain' variable. Is it possible some how to change value manually to 'mydom.org', e.g. with SQL statement?

Soooo.... (I had a similar problem in July with a different error, but that was solved with a strange session.auto_start in roundcube/.htaccess) I can access the mysql database with the round cube user (this was an existing working install, but the server has gone through a series of software updates. This is a text edit options Q: I use the CPanel version of RC, and have no experience with the DT client. I've been to the RC site and looked at the screen shots of various interface examples. With my host's CPanel version, if I'm in "compose" mode I have a button (small triangle) just to the left of the word "From", avail. to drop-down a really limited range of options, beginning with "Editor Type". But one of the s-shot examples on the RC site, where the user is in "compose", it shows a whole lot of other things available from the same spot, the same area-- all the things I want: changing the font, the font size, color of font, highlighting ability, etc., etc. Don't want to sound blasphemous, but I'd be happy with about 50% of the options you get in Gmail. In Settings there's an option to default to a specific font, but that's it. Thanks, Mark Rucker

Edit Headers

People, Is there a convenient way to edit headers (like in Thunderbird)? I need to put activity dates at the front of the Subjects so I can sort Meetup mails properly - I have written a little Ruby script to do this but it would be much nicer to be able to do it from within RCM and not have to manually delete dovecot files etc. I tried putting: edit_headers.php into the drivers dir but it appears that that is for spam management (?) and I couldn't see any changed I/F to access it. RoundCube Not Loading

I've installed Roundcube (v0.9.5-1) on CentOS 6.5. This was working fine until we made some extensive changes to our apache config. Now we have a situation where when I got to www.site.co.uk/webmail I simply get a directory listing of what is in /usr/share/roundcubemail instead of the login page I used to get. The new Apache config doesn't seem to have any obvious issues with it, everything else loads fine, there are no errors logged at all. Danny

Dear Roundcube folks, having a system with a Postfix and Dovecot (using vmm [1]), a second system with Roundcube accessing that system and a third one with a PostgreSQL installation, I wonder how I need to configure the Password plugin [2]. I found a blog entry in German instructing how to do that [3], but it does not work for me as I configured Dovecot to use password type SSHA512. Setting `password_crypt_hash` to `sha512` I get an error, when actually trying to replace the old with the new password. PASSWORD_CRYPT_ERROR I also do not understand, why there are `password_dovecotpw` configurations options. Do I need to install these on the Web server running Roundcube? Unable to log into Mailman member options with HTTPS

Attachments limit

Hi, Are there some limit in the number of attached files in one email that Roundcube can process without problem? I am experience some problem to view (preliminar view and open in a new window) emails that have more than 30 files attached. When I try to view, for example in preliminar view, appears the loading message and RC do not show the email and the loading message with loading animated image do not dissapear never. May be a problem with the quantity of attachments or another cause. TIA. Jorge Colaccni

I've set main.cf in postfix, php.ini, and nginx.conf to an 8M file upload limit but Roundcube still states a 2M limit. Is there somewhere else I need to specify this? - Grant
