LDAP email addresses

Hello again: When I create up to 3 email address values via LDAP in iOS (mapping in RC: 'email' => 'mail'), all of them are nicely displayed in the RC address book. When I proceed to edit any of those 3 email entries in RC, only the modified entry will be written back to LDAP, the other two disappear, which leads to data loss. How can this be avoided? Furthermore, would it be possible to map those (max 3 email values) to the "work", "home" and "other" email fields with LDAP like it is possible in the SQL address book? If I choose 'email:work' => 'mail', 'email:home' => 'mail', 'email:other' => 'mail', as the mapping, I of course see all entries prefixed with all 3 categories. What I am looking for is to have mail[0] map to email:work, mail[1] to email:home and mail[2] to email:work. Cheers, Achim

LDAP import/export from RC generated vCards

Hello again: It appears that RC uses some tricks to generate valid LDAP records upon import. The following setting 'required_fields' => array('cn', 'givenName', 'sn', 'mail' ), populates all 4 fields correctly for records that a) have a value for field "FN" that contains at least two words b) have a value for field "EMAIL;type=INTERNET" So FN is split into givenName (all but last word in FN) and sn (= last word in FN) nicely. Again, this only works for records like "Joe Bloe" but not for records like "Joe" (with only one word in FN!) So to be able to import more records, I changed to: 'required_fields' => array('cn', 'sn', 'mail' ), (dropping 'givenName'). This indeed imports more records (as expected), but does unfortunately not populate the field 'givenName' anymore with the splitting logic indicated above. In fact, when we also leave out 'mail' from the required_fields array, no mail addresses are imported at all, even though the vCards contain them. The part about givenName is a matter of opinion, but the fact that perfectly valid email addresses are not imported into the LDAP 'mail' field from an existing "EMAIL;type=INTERNET" vCard field if mail is not part of 'required_fields' surprises me: shouldn't RC try to import as much as possible from vCard, and not only the minimum (required) fields? It was rapidly written and needs more testing and polish (like config file, ability to add other useful information, and probably a name change) en_US, en_EN and fr_FR translations included. I'm affraid that last_login is not very accurate because roundcube store the time of the (very) last login which is not former login but current one. will have a look on how to improve that if I have a little time. regards,

Transfering mails to a new account

Hi my company has the service of webmail, but i got a problem i received a new email account but i dont know how to transfers all the emails from my previous roundcube webmail account to the new one they just create it, how can i do that? Mail Filters for roundcube

Hello, I am trying to install filters for my roundcube, but the problem that i am using UW-IMAPD , And roundcube comes for filter plugins but works only for dovecot and Sieve So how can i make filters options for my roundcube while using UW-IMAP and not dovecot ? Is there any ideas? Thanks..

missing option support_url

Hello! I just upgraded the roundcube. .... Do you want me to fix your local configuration? (y/N) y . backing up the current config files... . writing /vwww/anup/root/esystem/config/main.inc.php... . writing /vwww/anup/root/esystem/config/main.db.php... Done. Your configuration files are now up-to-date! But you still need to add the following missing options: - 'support_url' No hint where to put this missing option. Please, where do I put this option? Email address automatically added to Identities

Hello all, Sorry for my approximative descrition, US-Eng is not my native langage and this is my first day in the list. I have several emails servers (3) for my users, they are called: machine1.domain.tld, machine2.domain.tld .. $rcmail_config['default_host'] = array('machine1.domain.tld', 'machine2.domain.tld' .. When a user log for the first to the RC service to machine1, the address userX(a)machine1.domain.tld is automatically added in its Preference/Identities. This address, with the machine part included (userX(a)machine1.domain.tld), is working well in my localnetwork but not when replying from a remote site. So every user get wrongs replys and have to setup the reply address in Setting/Identities to obtain a correct syntax. userX(a)machine.domain.tld --> userX(a)domain.tld Is it possible to configure RC not to use this automatic mode or any solution to bypass this problem ? Thanks a lot for help, plap ~newby in Roundcube 0.8.0 env.

Hi all, as shown below, a bug has been reported against automatic_addressbook v0.3 that causes an incompatibility with roundcube up to 7.3.
