I've recently added several LDAP directories to my RC install, which is currently at SVN 3230. I've got a Global directory, and several sub-directories for what would pass as departments in a different organization. When viewing any of the sub-directories (largest 443 records) it shows the total number almost correctly (see next paragraph) - i.e. "Contacts 1 - 100 of 444". But the Global view shows no more than 500 - "Contacts 1 - 100 of 500" - even though the correct total is now over 800. Is there a limit of 500 on the display of LDAP records? Or is it perhaps a general limit for the Addressbook? Does anyone have any idea if this limit could be increased?
You haven't told us what kind of LDAP backend you're using, but in case you have an OpenLDAP server there, OpenLDAP has a default limit of showing no more than 500 entries. This can be changed in OpenLDAP's config file.
Thanks! I'm new to OpenLDAP and had not known of the limit. Specifying a larger 'sizelmit' in slapd.conf fixed that issue.
Any thoughts on what I may have done wrong with the blank entries?
