I would argue against that -- I'm using the beta version on 3 sites and I'm having this issue, I was just about to remove the cache option as well.

I love roundcube and am ready to deploy for my customers, but have a problem with mail message list refreshing after my inbox shows new mail.  Like inbox(4), etc.

If I click a different folder and then go back to inbox, it'll finally show the new messages.  I've got the latest stable version running on a Fedora Core 3 server running latest postfix, dovecot, mysql and apache.

I'm anxiously awaiting lists and other good features.

I couldn't get to the archives.  I get a Vi flytter! message.
