i use the same plugin but with an MySQL backend.

Our usernames are longer than 8 characters, no problem here.

Question 1)

If a user set a vacation body text:

Did it appear if the user login again?

To test if the problem exist in the webmail frontend.

Question 2)

Vacation.pl has an option to turn loggin on.

our $logfile='/var/log/vacation.log';

our $log_level = 2;

our $log_to_file = 1;

Are there some useful entries or problems reported related to that 8 Char problem?

Question 3)

Which "driver" do you use exactly?

FTP / Setuid ?
