I attached the main.inc.php and the dovecot.conf
For tests, try to disable caching. For performance, set imap_auth_type, imap_root, imap_delimiter. In dovecot.conf enable login_greeting_capability. You can also uncomment console() calls in lib/imap.inc to debug IMAP conversation.
