Agreed, however I believe some software has incomplete or buggy
implementations of what that software advertises via CAPABILITIES. I
am asking this so the most popular IMAP software can be tested
against the proposed features, and then possibly a list of
recommended or known-to-work software can be placed on the
Requirements page.

That said, what IMAP software do you use ?
