Hello list,
I am getting a very strange behaviour in .01.rc1. I am using it in a semi production environment without problems for the past two months. But now the following error occurs.
Everything works fine except sending messages for some IDs. For IDs which have not produced any errors till now, sending works okay. But by any chance, if a composed message has any error in the recipient ID (say a typo), mails to that ID will not work anymore, even after the error in the ID is corrected. Just displays "Failed to send message". Mail receiving and all other operations are okay. No errors in the logs.
There is no problem with smtp as I am able to send through another mail program.
Could somebody help me out. My mail system is stuck.
Thanks in advance.

Update on the above.
I can send mails to IDs outside of my own domain, but not to users in my own domain. When I select users out of the address book, mail is not sent.
Thomas, could you help me out?
Thanks.

Update on the above.
Upgraded to the latest svn tarball version from sourceforge. This has a preview pane and html mail composition. But the html mail compose seems to be slightly buggy.
Something very strange is happening, but quite logical. A user is able to delete the default identity from the identities tab, even if there is only one identitity defined. Once this is done, the sender identitity is lost from the sender pull down. Mail cannot be sent from the users ID anymore.
On looking up the database, it is seen that the identitities table shows the deleted idenitity as DEL=1. If this is restored to DEL=0, sending operation becomes successful.
If more than one identitity is defined, user can send mail from the other identitity.
This seems to be a real bug. It seems to be logical to incorporate a script which would delete the user from the users table also, if his lone default identitity in the base domain is deleted. Or it would be still more logical to prevent users from deleting their lone identitities in their base domains. They may set this to non-default if they so desire, but no deletion.
Hope the develpment team will look into this.
