In the newest RC release:
Sometimes when I delete a message, it's moved to the trash. Sometimes it stays in the inbox but is just greyed out, then I have to click "compact" to get rid of it.
What determines which of these happens? I haven't been able to figure out a pattern to such. Thanks!

In Preferences/Server Settings: "Flag the message for deletion instead of delete" and "Do not show deleted messages".

Cool, thanks.
Is there some way to mass-edit all users' preferences? Eg: to set them all to have flag for deletion disabled? I changed in the main.inc.php config file, but that only affects settings for new users, it seems.
Alternately, is there some way to have the settings in main.inc.php override the individual users' setting?
Thanks!
