I noticed today that a Beta 0.4 is available for download. I was really thinking about installing it on my server (200 users) but not sure how many people have tried it or if there are any issues with upgrading from 0.3.1 to 0.4 Beta. Can anyone who has installed and used 0.4 recently tell me how you like it and if you experienced any issues at all.
Thanks! _______________________________________________ List info: http://lists.roundcube.net/users/

Didn't upgrade definitely yet, still testing with staff and not migrating users yet. Depending on plugins you might use, you have to test the compatibility. One of our plugins, which is essential for our users, doesn't work with 0.4, so we currently wait. Be also aware that you should use 0.4-trunk version and not the one available on the sourceforge download if you want signature above quote to be working.

So I decided to upgrade from 0.3.1 to 0.4 Beta early this morning. It was very simple. Backed up my "webmail/" directory and the MySQL database. Installed 0.4 and upgraded the database. It worked with no problems at all. I did notice now in the user settings, I am able to select if I want to 'top' or 'bottom' post when replying to an email. I don't see or understand what the 'Group' feature is. Can someone please explain or tell me how it works?

The easiest thing to explain is if you just work with it. Open the Address Book and there you see that you can create groups instead of only contacts. Play a bit with it and you will find it exciting :D
