Hello,
I just installed RoundCube 0.4 on my mail server(centos5, Postfix, Courier, MySQL) and it look great. Then I installed the Vacation Plugin V.1.9.9. Now when I click Setting I got:
CONFIGURATION ERROR
Vacation plugin: Driver virtual does not allow transport to be empty. Please edit config.ini Please read the INSTALL instructions!
Here is the config.ini: [root@mail vacation]# cat config.ini [default] driver = "virtual" subject = "Default subject" body = "default.txt"
[mail.mydomain.com] dsn = "mysql://roundcube:password@localhost" transport = "mail.mydomain.com" dbase = "mail" always_keep_copy = true select_query = "SELECT destination FROM %m.virtual_aliases WHERE source='%e' AND destination='%g'" delete_query = "DELETE FROM %m.virtual_aliases WHERE domain_id=%i AND source='%e'" insert_query = "INSERT INTO %m.virtual_aliases (domain_id,source,destination) VALUES (%i,'%e','%g')" domain_lookup_query = "SELECT id FROM postfix.virtual_domains WHERE name='%d'" createvacationconf = true always_keep_message = true disable_forward = False
When I configure the plugin, I got really confused on the transport setting in config.ini. Please help me to make it works.
My mail server use Postfix with MySQL handle virtual user/domain. Some related settings:
[root@mail vacation]# postconf -n alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases
mydestination = mail.mydomain.com, localhost, localhost.localdomain myhostname = mail.mydomain.com mynetworks = 127.0.0.0/8 newaliases_path = /usr/bin/newaliases.postfix proxy_read_maps = $local_recipient_maps $mydestination $virtual_alias_maps $virtual_alias_domains $virtual_mailbox_maps $virtual_mailbox_domains $relay_recipient_maps $relay_domains $canonical_maps $sender_canonical_maps $recipient_canonical_maps $relocated_maps $transport_maps $mynetworks $virtual_mailbox_limit_maps
transport_maps = proxy:mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-virtual_transports.cf unknown_local_recipient_reject_code = 550 virtual_alias_domains = virtual_alias_maps = proxy:mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-virtual_forwardings.cf, mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-virtual_email2email.cf,mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-virtual_aliases.cf virtual_create_maildirsize = yes virtual_gid_maps = static:5000 virtual_mailbox_base = /home/vmail virtual_mailbox_domains = proxy:mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-virtual_domains.cf virtual_mailbox_maps = proxy:mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-virtual_mailboxes.cf
Thanks for help.

Pardon me for being an annoying ass here, but using a web mail client as an autoresponder is a silly idea.
Like, okay, you're going to leave your client box running with your browser open and logged into your RoundCube while you go on vacation just so that it could auto respond? That just seems wrong. If Rube Goldberg had designed a vacation auto-responder, this would be it!
Vacation auto-responding itself is a silly idea, because you shouldn't trust a robot to indiscriminately reply to all your mails. What if it replies to spam? You need a very reliable spam filter in front of it.
These auto-responders have been known to screw up, and, for instance, auto-reply to every piece of mailing list traffic.
Auto-responders will annoy people if you are involved in group discussions which continue while you are gone vacation. Unless the responder is clever about this, every time someone does a "reply all" to a debate which happens to include you, he is greeted with a reminder that, yes, you are still on vacation.
You know, maybe the people close to you that need to know you are on vacation can be so informed, and who cares about the rest?
Letting the world know you are away from home is a home security risk, too.
If you must have it, this kind of auto-responding is a job for external mail processing. Find yourself a some nice vacation handling Procmail script which has been debugged to death for twenty years and use that.
But let me finish by disclosing my vested interest. I'm involved in a commercial startup which is developing a vacation auto-non-responder. What this software will do is, on your behalf, ignore all e-mails while you are on vacation. Upon your return, you can take the reins: disable the software and resume ignoring e-mails yourself. Thus, your appearance that you are unreachable (because you are incredibly important and busy) continues uninterrupted during your travels.

Time for you to do some research before you deride other people. The vacation (autoresponder) plugin is simply a frontend for server-based mail extensions such as the sendmail vactation extension. The web client sets up the autoresponder, and then the server handles it all. Reliable and well-established.

It's okay to be wrong if you're funny. Plus,
