I don't know why your PHP installation does not support session_set_save_handler(). According to the manual (http://php.benscom.com/manual/en/function.session-set-save-handler.php) it's a standard function.

RoundCube won't work correctly if the session management is not done by the proprietary functions of RC.

You have debug_level set too high. Set it to 5 or 1 and your problem will disappear.
