I did a fresh install of the latest version of roundcube on my server and i think i'm running into major problems with it's include_path statement in the index. My php skills are meager at best, without hard-coding every reference in the app, is there another way to set that path in the index (like it's trying to do) to hunt for the directories it needs to see? thanks Josef

Special Characters in Swedish

I wonder if it is I who are missing out on something. For some reason when I send a mail with special swedish characters, like åäö, they wont show in Roundcube(If im sending it through roundcube that is). Here's what I noticed: Mailing from roundcube too myself and friends: Using åäö in subject will work in roundcube, but they wont show in another client. Using it in the message body won't work anywhere. Mailing form another client too myself and friends reading it: Reading it with roundcube will work. Reading it in another client will work. I myself are not sure why, but i've atleast tested it from Windows and Linux, using IE and FF atleast. /Alexander Rydekull

imap_root Question

Hi all, I have RoundCube installed and working but am having a small problem with imap_root. I keep my mail folders in my home directory under a subdirectory called mail, and I'm using UW-IMAP. My INBOX is in /var/spool/mail/ I have set the imap_root to "mail" and it mostly works fine. My folders all show up properly in the list and it only shows the ones from my mail directory. The problem is that if I click the INBOX folder I get no messages. When I first log in the messages from my inbox show on the right side but if I click the folder it never shows again. Additionally the Sent folder works fine but the Trash folder doesn't. Trash shows (34) new messages, which is correct but if I click the folder I get a blank list. All other "normal" folders work just fine. Any ideas? Thanks, Jason von Nieda

Minor bug in 0.1-20051021 (newest release)

I noticed a minor bug in today's release. Clicking on the Inbox folder (in the folder list to the left) in the main mail screen, causes no messages to be shown. For example click on the sent folder, then click back on the inbox and nothing will be shown. The only way to restore the inbox is to click on the address book or settings, then back on the email button on the upper toolbar. I can reproduce this bug in Firefox 1.07 and Opera 8.5. Empty the trash box?

Hello! This is just a small request or question :). Is there an option to emty the trash? Deleted mails go there but how do I delete them from the trash? Also is that on the todo list to add an automatic mail sorting, like I want mails comming from this list to go into a particular directory in my mail folders. Just like squirrelmail messages filter option. And there is such a thing in Horde.

CSS issue with message display

I see a layout issue in the message display screen when viewing a message with mutiple attachments. The problem is present using recent releases of Mozilla Seamonkey and Firebird, but not with Internet Explorer 6 (display is OK). Small screenshot attached to illustrate the problem. Doug

7zip Attachment Causes Error (.7z)

Hey all, I just sent and received an email with a 7zip archive attachment. When I try to view this email in RC, it throws the following error in my browser window..... Whats the MSN information?

RoundCubeMail is on my server (Thanks for fixing that weird bug!) and I cant connect to MSN at port 143. I tried this: Username: myusername(a)msn.com Password: ********** server: smtp.email.msn.com or pop3.email.msn.com Nothing works. One step further: After changing the COMM_PATH initialisation in index.php as follows I am able to use the adressbook, adjust the personal settings, use the logout and even compose a message. $COMM_PATH = sprintf('index.php?_auth=%s&_task=%s', $sess_auth, $_task); The missing problems left are: - Messages cannot be opened using the double click, answered using the corresponding button or forwarded. i.e. it only tries to load for a long, long time and finishs with " Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mail\program\lib\imap.inc on line 104 ". I think that there might be a problem for the IMAP client to read the message. - In the top of the message list a PHP warning shows up: Warning: date() [function.date]: Windows does not support dates prior to midnight (00:00:00), January 1, 1970 in c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mail\program\include\main.inc on line 955 Do you sse a chance to fix these two problems as well as the one with the self-referencing? Is there any debug information that I can provide you with? I might as well create a temporary account on my private IMAP Server and provide you with the account information. That is a great step at least. I think that if RoundCube should work with IIS all self-referencing forms must shall at least point to "index.php". But it would be better if it would point to the path provided via $_SERVER["PHP_SELF"]. So the code in clean php, the JavaScript scripts, the template parsing and the templates might need to be adjusted. Now after being logged in I'm unable to open any message or use any of the buttons. I think that the reason for that is the (in the view of IIS) "wrong" self-reference. Do you see a change to change that behavious so that every self-refernce uses the scripts real path - or at least that until there is a final solution that "index.php" is used instead of "./" ? Addition: IIS is configured to look for "index.php" automatically if only a reference to the directory is passed. I have got the problem that when I open the login page (http://localhost/mail.index.php), type in the correct user information and then press the Login button it just gives me the page for "HTTP 405 - Resource not allowed". I think that it has to do with the way IIS reacts the the action field that is provided in the login form: <form name="form" action="./" method="post"> If I save the html source and replace the action field above with 'action="index.php"' the list of messages turns up. I myself did some PHP/MySQL development but don't have a clue what the problem here is. I think that I should get further if RoundCube would not only provider "./" in den login field but also the complete address of the file.
