I just tried it with IE6.. same result... Deleted messages will reappear if you click on Inbox for example. untarring into versioned directory name

I have a request for future versions of roundcube. Can you make the distribution files untar into a directory with the version name in it. I think it would be beneficial to most people to be able to do this: cd /var/www/your/document/root tar zxvf roundcube_webmail_version#.tar.gz and have it untar to the directory 'roundcubemail_version#' instead of just untarring to 'roundcubemail'. That way it can be untarred in the same parent directory without having to move the old directory out of the way or clobbering old files. -- Mark S. RoundCube demo available agin

Hello everybody, After the heavy traffic caused by the slashdot article, everything is coming down again. Now the demo of RoundCube is available again but still restricted to a certain number of users. So please don't send any mails when getting the message "Too many users"! Regards, Thomas

Anyways I noticed that you have structured the code in a way that I personally consider one of my pet peeves. Here is how I have structured the directory layout for my framework: http://oss.backendmedia.com/WebBuilder2/DirectoryTree Notice that inside the public html dir there are only files which users are allowed to read and none of the includes or config files. CVS HEAD problem with folder list display when reading messages

IMAP root?

Hi all, just downloaded Round Cube and it looks great. I've been playing with it for an hour or so. I seem to be having a problem using the imap root setting though. I have tried setting the imap root to 'mail', '/mail', 'mail/' and '/mail/' and none seem to work. The only one that really does anything is 'mail' and that causes folders in users' home directories to be created as mailSent, mailINBOX and so on. I store all of my mail folders in my home directory under mail/ and I'd like to not change it. I currently use Thunderbird as my mail client and in it's imap root I have specified 'mail' which works fine with my server. I am running the latest version of UW-IMAP. Any clues? Cyrus Sieve interface?

Hi, (I'm not subscribed to the mailing list yet, please Cc me when replying; thank you!) Based on the screenshots, Roundcube is excellent. I used IMP and Squirrelmail before, but I have to admit that they're not nearly comparable with Gmail or other modern webmails. Roundcube, though, seems to keep up with the best in the industry. It's like the iPod - it's not like there aren't any other similar products out there that are functional and stable, but this one is the only one whose interface actually makes sense from a usability perspective. ;-) Kudos! One issue that I'd like to discuss: I am using Cyrus IMAPd as a backend because it provides convenient and powerful server-side email filtering with Sieve (that is, I configure the filters on the server and then the messages are processed, deleted, sorted into folders, etc. automatically, server-side, regardless of what IMAP client I'm using - which is totally awesome). Both IMP and Squirrelmail provide nice integrated interfaces to manage the Sieve filters. E.g., see Avelsieve, which is the Squirrelmail Sieve plugin: http://email.uoa.gr/projects/squirrelmail/avelsieve.php To me, Sieve filtering is what makes or breaks the deal. I would start to use Roundcube tomorrow if it had a Sieve interface. But if it lacks Sieve... well, I guess I won't use it "for real" because I would have a hard time setting up new filters or modifying existing ones, which is critical when you have more than, like, a dozen folders or so. Especially when subscribed to high-volume mailing lists (lkml, php-dev, etc.), automatically filtering messages into folders is critical and without server-side filtering it's impossible to use multiple IMAP clients (one could still get away with using just one single client and perform filtering client-side, but that pretty much precludes all the advantages of IMAP). So... Is there any Sieve interface yet in Roundcube? If not, are there any plans to create one? If there are plans, what's the timeline? I'm new to the mailing list/project, so please forgive me if this has been discussed. I could not find any FAQ or archives of the list to search through. Two questions: 1) Is there way to set a login alias so users can log in via that alias instead of a longer login name. For example: my account name on my mail server is "kurt(a)ernstsen.net" but I would like to log in using the username "kurt". I have seen other mail clients that allow you to set this alias within the user preferences. Any way to do this in RoundCube? 2) I would like to be able to log into account A see messages from both account A and account B, in separate folders of course. I noticed RoundCube has the "Identities" but from what I saw that was different identities for sending mail only, not retrieving and reading mail from the different accounts. Is there any way to do this in RoundCube? Thanks, Kurt Ernstsen

New storage for user preferences

Hi, Maybe I should have asked first, but then again, it was to easy to implement. :) Totally new to this mailinglist, so sorry if this was discussed before.. (where are archives?) Attached is a patch that stores user preferences in a table called user_preferences, instead of an associative, serialized array.. - main.inc has 2 new functions: rcmail_get_userprefs() and rcmail_save_userpref() - steps/settings/save_prefs.inc: using the rcmail_save_userpref() function (still saving using serializing..) - added table structure for MySQL (mysql.initial.sql) Applying patch: go into roundcubemail (0.1-20051007 I used), patch - p1 < roundcubemail-userprefs.patch Hope this helps a bit :) Any comments are welcome ofcourse. Thinking of making a new table holding other data like signatures.. Or?
