Michael,
I'm actually using Courier-Imap, the capabilities it prints are as
follows:
* CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1 UIDPLUS CHILDREN NAMESPACE THREAD=ORDEREDSUBJECT
THREAD=REFERENCES SORT QUOTA IDLE ACL ACL2=UNION STARTTLS cp01 OK
CAPABILITY completed Tried PLAIN: Resource id #23
When I try it against my work e-mail, I get
* CAPABILITY IMAP4 IMAP4rev1 UIDPLUS AUTH=CRAM-MD5 AUTH=PLAIN AUTH=LOGIN
cp01 OK CAPABILITY completed Trying CRAM-MD5 +
PDkzNTMuODE1NzIxNzFAc214dHJpby1jdGMwMT4= Got challenge: +
PDkzNTMuODE1NzIxNzFAc214dHJpby1jdGMwMT4= Tried CRAM-MD5: Resource id #23
Unfortunately, I don't know what IMAP server we use. I can find out on
monday.
