I've managed to test my issue a bit further, and it's not quite what I thought. My first login is fine, but if I try to open a mail message it hangs. This appears to be in the IMAP server - but I can't confirm that yet. Until the IMAP server (or whatever) times this connection out, I can't use RoundCube for anything except for viewing the login screen and (sometimes) the inbox (cached in MySQL, I'm guessing). optimizing rcub_imap.inc

Hi !! just looking at _list_headers i noticed that deleted headers are also cached, is there any reason for that ? Also problems related to users having lots of emails in the inbox folder cause big problems, just about 1000 messages in a user inbox causes that the login process lasts forever. If in safe_mode and execution time and memory usage are limited users with big inbox are totally unable to login. Fixed it, the username had been truncated when i created the database user, and i hadnt realised.. the error wasnt very clear, maybe this was the Pear::DB? Normaly i'd expect: Access Denied for user@localhost. (Using Password YES) or something to that effect.. anyway.. its now running fine afaik... but when i try to login to a mail server it doesnt work.. http://www.ircsucks.com/mail (testing(a)ircsucks.com | password | mail.ircsucks.com OR localhost) When i use the same server info that roundcube is on it goes wierd but still errors: Warning: fopen(./logs/errors): failed to open stream: Keine Berechtigung in /home/ircsucks/public_html/mail/program/include/bugs.inc on line 67 IMAP Error in (): Authentication failed (LOGIN): "a001 NO LOGIN failed" wth? Hope somebody can help :) Thanks Michael PS: I'm very interested in getting this working under cPanel (www.cpanel.net) cPanel uses http auth to send the vars to the script, (they currently use squirrelmail/horde/neomail) and IMO they all suck :P ... if i could actually get this to work, perhaps i can use the lil php knowledge i have to help get it working with cPanel?

Hi! I just installed RoundCube and everything seems to work fine except for two things: 1. I use bincimap as my imap server with the maildir++ depot (same as courier-imap), which stores all the users folders in the INBOX. If I leave imap_root empty in the config (as is the default) all the folders are shown as being under the INBOX, but the Sent, Drafts and Trash folders are not assigned icons. If I change imap_root to "INBOX/" the folders are shown with correct icons but the Inbox disappears from the list and cannot be selected! 2. I use qmail with vmailmgr as my MTA. I can login fine with virtual users, but local users seem to generate some kind of loop and I cannot login, it just loads forever. If I check my imap servers logs it shows that the authentification was successful, RoundCubes logs show no errors and neither do the apache-logs. I also have SquirrelMail installed and it works flawlessly as do stand-alone clients like Mozilla Thunderbird. I realise that RoundCube is still in its infancy but the project looks very promising already! Alas I'm not a programmer, so I cannot contribute to the project (except with bug-reports ;). NEW per user smtp auth

Timedouts with Large and Numerous IMAP Folders

Hello guys, I've got RC installed and running well. This machine is Mandriva 2005 if it matters, (LAMP). Qmail, courier-imap, apache, MySQL, PHP4. When I try loggin in with user accounts which has only a few IMAP folders and generally contain very little < 50 mails, there are no problems. However, if I were to login with a user account with many IMAP folders which also contain numerous mails > 1000, the login would time out, resulting in a "zero-sized reply" error. I believe that the time out is due to the fact that imapd (courier) has not completed its task of listing mails or something within 30 seconds. A side note, squirrelmail doesn't time out with this account even though it lists the number of unread mails (> 10000) in each folder (> 20 folders). As such, are there any plans to or ideas (other than deleting mails) to solve or work around this problem (where imapd takes quite some time in listing mailfolders)? I'll be more than willing to provide further information if necessary. Thanks. using RoundCube with PostgreSQL

Hi list, I've just started playing with RoundCube, looks great so far..! I can't see a list archive, so maybe some of this has already been discussed, but I'm seeing some issues using RoundCube with a pgsql database: Some of the queries use backticks to quote column names - pgsql uses double quotes. Given that "default" is a bit of a tricky name to use for a column, is it worth renaming it, rather than doing lots of tricky code to make sure the quotes are right for the database? The same probably goes for column names like "language" and "reply-to". My install of PostgreSQL (v8.0.1) doesn't have a function named unix_timestamp(). I hacked one up as: CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION unix_timestamp(TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE) RETURNS INTEGER AS ' BEGIN RETURN round(EXTRACT( EPOCH FROM $1 )); END; ' LANGUAGE 'plpgsql'; I get errors if I leave caching enabled - I've just turned it off for now, but I'm guessing that the serialised data contains something that pgsql doesn't like. Amongst the spam and assorted junk that is my inbox, I have a message with no Date header. RoundCube generated errors for that too. Timeouts

What is the maximum size that this app can open? I keep getting timeouts on mailboxes > 50megs (or it loads but just a white screen appears) Any thoughts? rc is running on the same machine as the mail server. -k
