mysql install problems continue

Previously I had the following issue: I have created a mysql database named xyz and a user named xyz_user so what exactly should this line be in db.inc.php? $rcmail_config['mysql'] = 'mysql://xyz_user@localhost/xyz'; That doesn't seem to work for some reason. I keep getting the following errors: *DB Error in /home/xyz/public_html/roundmail/program/include/rcube_db.inc (63):* DB Error: not found *Fatal error*: Call to undefined function: query() in */home/xyz/public_html/roundmail/program/include/rcube_db.inc* on line *119 Now it looks like the problem was with not having pear set up. Since I am on a shared server I had to install PEAR in my home folder. I did that successfully, I think, but now I get the following error. *Fatal error*: Cannot redeclare class db in */usr/lib/php/DB.php* on line *271* I added this to index.php but I don't think that's working out. ini_set("include_path", 'public_html/pear/PEAR/' . PATH_SEPARATOR . ini_get("include_path")); require_once '/home/xyz/public_html/pear/PEAR/DB.php'; Any more ideas from anyone? This is a really slick app. I can't wait for it to work. Mike

Hi all, My apologies if this has been answered already; I was looking for a search function for this mailing list, to no avail. Running RH8. I've just installed rcube and I can't log in. Every attempt yields "Login Failed". The imap server is running fine (I can use other clients without problem). I'm wondering about this host setting: $rcmail_config['default_host'] = ''; I've tried entering my server's hostname, and "localhost", but the result is the same. My maillog log shows that a login attempt is made, but that's it. Can anyone give me a pointer for other things to consider in troubleshooting this problem? Thanks! Aaron.

won't delete?

Hi all. I'm running RoundCube on Debian Woody against Dovecot.. It looks great, except it doesn't actually delete messages. Is this a known bug? Thanks, -j

Listing emails by Date/time

Hello, Is there somewhere to specify what one wants the emails to be sorted/ listed by? the emails do not seem to be sorted correctly ... some from today are on the first page .. some from yesterday ... but also alot of old ones even before todays & yesterdays Thanks, --marco

Roundcube Error

Ok guys, don't kill me. I know this topic has been beaten to death, even today, but I think we all need to appreciate that the slashdot affect has changed things a bit. I know the developers are not in favor of it, but there are two things to consider: 1. There are no searchable archives. As I said last week, we will eventually get 20 users asking the same questions with no chance for shared knowledge. As much as you may like mailing lists....this will annoy you. 2. Slashdot, in my opinion, has effectively put us on the map. While a lot of that is good, another angle is not so good. Ergo, the volume of mails on this list may in fact, increase...dramatically. For the community, that's great. But, I don't know about you guys, a mailing list is great if I'm getting 10-15 mails a day thats fairly topical and of interest. How many mails a day are we getting now? 20? 30? How about when a trade mag like The Register writes a story? Or Wired? Or Jeffrey Veen? Once we get on the blog rolls, the community will grow quite rapidly. I know that we as a group, discussed this last week. But I would urge everyone to consider what an increase in exposure will do. We really need forums, I'm sorry but wiki's are great for documentation, but crap for general support. Users, like asking questions. I know I do. I think we need forums, but on the developers terms. ie something in an environment the team supports/controls. Something that is secure, and something that is easy to maintain. Someone made some alternate suggestions to phpbb that deserves a look. One of them was called vanilla (http://getvanilla.com) which looks promissing. Any thoughts? Geoffrey

not able to login to Cyrus IMAPd

(I'm still not subscribed yet, sorry, I'll fix that, but for the moment please Cc me on the replies) I downloaded roundcube_webmail_0.1-20051007.tar.gz and installed it on my system: - Linux Fedora 4 - Apache 2.0.54 - PHP 5.0.4 - Cyrus IMAPd 2.2.12 - MySQL 4.1.14 Did all the steps in the INSTALL file. When testing it, I can't login. This is what's displayed on the front page after the failure: * CAPABILITY IMAP4 IMAP4rev1 ACL QUOTA LITERAL+ MAILBOX-REFERRALS NAMESPACE UIDPLUS ID NO_ATOMIC_RENAME UNSELECT CHILDREN MULTIAPPEND BINARY SORT THREAD=ORDEREDSUBJECT THREAD=REFERENCES ANNOTATEMORE IDLE STARTTLS LISTEXT LIST-SUBSCRIBED X-NETSCAPE cp01 OK Completed Tried PLAIN: Resource id #23 I attached the main conf file and also a tcpdump trace file on port 143. My DB line looks like: $rcmail_config['db_dsnw'] = 'mysql://user:pass@localhost/roundcube'; // sqlite example: 'sqlite://./sqlite.db?mode=0646'; // PEAR database DSN for read only operations (if empty write database will be used) // userful for database replication $rcmail_config['db_dsnr'] = ''; And I get this error: DB Error in /var/www/reflex8.com/roundcubemail/program/include/ rcube_db.inc (63): DB Error: not found Fatal error: Call to undefined method DB_Error::query() in /var/www/ reflex8.com/roundcubemail/program/include/rcube_db.inc on line 119 Any ideas?
