Anyone working in LDAP for the address book?

A quick look and hack a the source reveals a pretty tight integration to an SQL database. Is anyone currently working on this? I might be able to help out. Adhamh

User Account question

Hi, I've been lurking on the list for a while, reading some interesting conversations :) But now I have a question, after having used roundcube for a bit now. After initial install, I could log into the app with a valid mailserver user, however, I tried logging in later using a different account, and this failed. I added that account to the users table in mysql, which fixed the problem; I could log in the other account after that. Now my plan is to use this for multiple virtually hosted domains, with each domain having probably a max of 10 seperate mail accounts. Do I need to add every single one of them in the users table? For me, this is unneccessary and unwanted extra administration of the domains, where I think that every valid mail account on the mailserver should simply be allowed access, given that the proper username/pass/domain is supplied. Am I wrong in thinking this? Or did I just miss something obvious? For the rest, great little app, glad I found it before I decided to go play with that Zimbra loaded stuff... :) Regards, Michiel Oosterling

Fix for sqlite and session problems

So the session table isn't being created when you use sqlite as the database type. Problem with sending messages

Everytime I send a message I get the following error: Warning: fopen(./logs/sendmail): failed to open stream: Keine Berechtigung in /var/www-secure/html/roundcube/program/steps/mail/sendmail.inc on line 252 do I need some special write permissions on my logs directory? Also, even with the error, the message goes throuhg, however, it doesn't show up properly, it doesn't show the name of the sender, and some of the mail header information ends up in the body of the message. Here is an example:

Error after installing Roundcube

Firstly, let me just say what a wonderful webmail app. Best out there at the moment!!! I've been using Squirrelmail for years and RoundCube is a breath of fresh air :o) Anyway, I'm getting the following error message when attempting to load RoundCube: DB Error in /home/bassroom/public_html/bassroom/roundcube/program/include/rcube_db.inc (63): DB Error: insufficient permissions Fatal error: Call to undefined function: query() in /home/bassroom/public_html/bassroom/roundcube/program/include/rcube_db.inc on line 124 I'm using the same account and password I've configured for Mambo and I've given the user all privileges to the DB... Does it matter if the DB username and database have underscores? Here are the lines from my db.inc.php file: $rcmail_config['db_dsnw']='mysql://bassroom_apps:*passwordhere*@localhost/ba ssroom_roundcube'; Output from cPanel showing the user having all privileges: bassroom_roundcube Users in roundcube bassroom_apps (Privileges: ALL PRIVILEGES) Any help would be greatly appreciated! RoundCube: A few bugs observed.

Comments on RoundCube : 1) When you read an email, you will see the "move to ..." drop-down menu near the top. I clicked on the down-arrow button (with FireFox) of the menu many times and nothing happened. On the 99th click, I then realized that you have to click very near to the TOP edge of the button so that you get the drop-down. 2) When you are at the viewing the email list or reading an email, clicking on the top "E-Mail" button (with FireFox) gives no response (but still clickable). 3) When composing an email, you should separate email addresses (if you are sending to multiple recepients) with commas and NOT entering them in multiple rows. If you enter the email addresses in rows, mailing will fail. The developer should change this to a single-row input box instead of the misleading area input box. 4) The compose email form is not properly displayed. The bottom edge of the form is not viewable under FireFox. No problem with IE6. 5) Sometimes when there is no emails under Trash, the left panel will show something like "Trash (7)". After switching view a few times and even re-login, it is still showing the same thing. Why? 6) Lastly, when integrate into cPanel's webmail login page (at www.yourdomain.com/webmail), how do I skip from logging in the second time?

visual bug with Safari

Hi! I just installed RoundCube webmail, it's just so great! there's a small visual bug w/ Safari (but not w/ Firefox), that I have seen on my local install as well as on your demo: in index view, the "Subject" line spreads and (if the subjec is long enough) covers the "Sender" line. otherwise, it's just ... perfect! -- Fil

Hello all! First a quick introduction: longtime PHP/MySQL dev, mainly on CMS's. Living in Berlin with girlfriend and cat, orignally from the Netherlands. I play guitar and I make my own effectpedals once in a while, mostly overdrives, distortions and fuzzes. Fed up with that gmail looks so much better than squirrelmail! I'd love to be able to use a production-ready roundcube, and thought you could use some help. I like to <tab> to the next field when I'm writing mail. When I do that now, it goes over the Cc and Bcc fields, which is kind of annoying. I noticed that tabindex wasn't an allowed parameter in the compose skin's object call, so I added it. Below is the patch. If there is a preferred way of sending patches, please let me know! Thanks for a great product!
