Hi. I installed RoundCube on my webspace (I don't admin that system). Trying to log in results the error "Login failed". The IMAP server is running fine. Has anybody an idea what the problem can be? Thanks. Marcus

I refer to my earlier comments on RoundCube build 20051021 (attached below) and the subsequent modification made by Thomas Bruederli yesterday: (a) I could see that Thomas has corrected the problem 1) and 4) below. (b) Problem 5) is still not corrected. I am not sure if this is a bug in the script or how the server is handling the deleted mails. (c) Thomas has combined the two rows of top icons into one single row ... forgetting that there are many people out there still using 800x600 monitor resolution. On my 800x600 display, the icons are overlapping one another making navigation impossible. It is a bad idea to combine the two rows of icons. Please revert. (d) Not sure if Thomas has done anything to item 3). I forgot to test this before I revert back to the default skin. Conclusion: Due to the problem (c) mentioned above, the "modified" skin is not a solution to the default skin. =========================================================== Comments on RoundCube : 1) When you read an email, you will see the "move to ..." drop-down menu near the top. I clicked on the down-arrow button (with FireFox) of the menu many times and nothing happened. On the 99th click, I then realized that you have to click very near to the TOP edge of the button so that you get the drop-down. 2) When you are at the viewing the email list or reading an email, clicking on the top "E-Mail" button (with FireFox) gives no response (but still clickable). 3) When composing an email, you should separate email addresses (if you are sending to multiple recepients) with commas and NOT entering them in multiple rows. If you enter the email addresses in rows, mailing will fail. The developer should change this to a single-row input box instead of the misleading area input box. 4) The compose email form is not properly displayed. The bottom edge of the form is not viewable under FireFox. No problem with IE6. 5) Sometimes when there is no emails under Trash, the left panel will show something like "Trash (7)". After switching view a few times and even re-login, it is still showing the same thing. Why? 6) Lastly, when integrate into cPanel's webmail login page (at www.yourdomain.com/webmail), how do I skip from logging in the second time?

Hello, At Online Demo : http://demo.roundcube.net/ Only User name required (roundcube_demo) not the host name with username (roundcube_demo(a)roundcube.net ). But when I installed the script into my host I need to input username with host. >From where I can select username name only login option and set my hostname as default. Thanks

See my recent post on "Fix for sqlite and session problems". There have been issues with SQLite because I didn't test it properly before releasing... Fix for sqlite and session problems

Adhamh, I found your sql session table patch and added it to my sqlite3 db, but I'm still having problems getting it running.. Here are the error I get once I press login: Warning: touch(): Unable to create file home/roundcube/rcube.db because No such file or directory in /home/roundcube/program/lib/DB/sqlite.php on line 209 DB Error in /home/roundcube/program/include/rcube_db.inc (63): DB Error: not found Fatal error: Call to undefined function: query() in /home/roundcube/program/include/rcube_db.inc on line 124 -- any ideas? I'm running php 4.4, and have pear and pear::db and php4-sqlite packages on ubuntu installed.. thanks, -- Robi

msg stays bold after selection changes

Hello all! I've found that when a new and unread message is selected but not opened, then marked as read by clicking the blue ball-star, then selecting another message does not make the first message un-bold. 1) Select unread message (now bold, white, with red bg) 2) Mark it read by clicking the blue ball (same layout) 3) Select another message (first message now bold, black, white bg) I haven't looked at a solution yet. Are you sure that the user you put into the db file has all the necessary permissions for the roundcube db?
