bug with moving RC originating messages

Can anyone else reproduce this: 1) Compose a message using RC to yourself. 2) Refresh the mailbox to see the new message 3) Attempt to drag that message into another folder I am consistently failing at being able to move the message. The "drag" action begins because the message becomes "attached" to the mouse, but upon releasing the mouse button over the desired folder the message does not disappear, not does is copy. Messages from thunderbird do not cause this problem. Only when the source is Roundcube. To further confirm that it's a problem with Roundcube messages, I went into the IMAP folder and copied the headers from a non-RC message into the RC message that was not working. After this the message succesfully copied. No Javascript warnings or errors are generated and all other actions on that message are successful (deleting it, opening it, flagging/unflagging as new) Any ideas? here are the headers for the message that is failing:

Oh and one other thing. If you use RC away from home and Thunderbird at home you might want to be aware of this: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=220064 It's a Thunderbird bug/feature that's going to look like a Roundcube bug to a lot of people. If you feel inclined vote for it as a bug and leave a comment that it exhibits itself as buggy behavior in webmail clients. -Charles

Folder name in title bar: When selecting a folder using the mouse the title of the browser is not adjusted to show the correct folder name. Only when pressing enter the title gets update to show the folder name. Deleting messages from trash: When deleting messages from the trash folder using the 'Empty' button at the bottom a popup is shown asking me if I'm really sure. However, when selecting a message (or multiple) and then use normal delete function (button or delete key) the message is delete without any warning. IMO the popup should be shown then as well. Bug #1327143 (http://trac.roundcube.net/trac.cgi/ticket/1327143): This bug is about the message list not being updated properly on receipt of a new mail. Is this a general bug or are there just a few out there which see this problem? Feature: In the forum I've seen a patch to show the number of messages in a folder alongside each folder name. Is this going to be included in the main RoundCube version? I think this would be a nice feature and would like to see it implemented. (Forum is currently down, so I can't give an exact topic or link at the moment). -- Regards, Erik

more undelete

Just checked in a change to undelete functionality: short description: RC now acts like Thunderbird long description: If you have one message selected pressing delete(key or icon) toggles the deleted status of that message and goes to the next message. If you have multiple messages selected it will undelete them if and only if they are all marked as deleted. If any one of them is not deleted it will mark those messages as deleted and ignore all of the already deleted messages. This is different than Outlook/OE which never undeletes with the delete key. The thing is that with those clients you have a right-click menu that allows you to undelete. When RC gets a right-click menu, I would think that it might be preferable to put undelete there rather than following Thunderbird behavior. Or of course it could be an option. This patch also fixes some weirdness with being unable to toggle seen/unseen after marking a message as deleted. It also cuts down on the huge number of Javascript warnings that this https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1815/ was reporting. I recommend that extension to anyone trying to debug javascript by the way. -Charles

Enter key

I just added "Enter" key support to the message list such that pressing Enter will open the message. I also learned a bit more about obscure behavior in selecting/double-clicking/dragging messages with various mod keys (shift/ctrl). Did you know that Outlook, Outlook Express and Thunderbird all behave differently when you click-and-hold on a message when the control key is held? Me neither. For the record Roundcube now emulates Outlook 2003 behavior. I won't go into the details, suffice to say you'll probably never notice the difference (but by-gum it's now "right"!) -Charles

Switch to Trac/SVN

Hi everybody, Thanks to Adam we have a running Trac system ready to use: http://trac.roundcube.net In order to prepare the movement of data from SF to the SVN server, I advice you to commit your files until Friday, May 19, 18.00 GMT. Also, please create yourselves an account on the Trac system and send me your user name if you want write access to the new SVN repository. Please use parts of your real name for the usernames. This makes it easier to assign tickets. After the change you will have to check out a new sandbox from the SVN server. Details about that will be added to the wiki. Apropos: please feel free to contribute content to the wiki, now that we have one... Regards, Thomas
