stability of CVS

Hi. This looks like an excellent piece of software. I have shown it to a couple people who care about design sorts of things, and they were quite impressed. I see the don't-use-the-cvs-version-unless-you-want-to-have-broken-email warning on the sourceforge page, and I am wondering how much you mean it. (: I am willing to put up with some instability, but I want it to work most of the time. Should I stick with the official releases? I am familiar with cvs (and svn - glad to hear that you are converting over sometime soon) and comfortable working on code. Do you have a suggestion? -- Jon Daley http://jon.limedaley.com/

5 features worth implementing?

After loosing an important mail composed under Roundcube (just pushed the send-button, 'something' went wrong and the email was lost forever) I have thought of ideas to avoid this. I think the following might be feasible: currently mails are send in the background; a failure means the message disappears. Might it be an idea not to use an AJAX backgrounded thread for sending the email, but staying on the foreground; only to return to the inbox once the message has succesfully been send? Some other stuff I thought of: * move the current overflow-scrollbar style from the table to the tbody. This would leave the thead always visible, while currently it will disappear when scrolling * make the attachment-icon (singleclick) in the messagelisting jump directly to the message-attachment. Currently it is just an icon without any link * a javascript prompt before any actual delete action, for example in the addressbook page * could we merge the _auth (GET) and sessid (COOKIE) into 1 sessionID? shift-select and control-select patch

I tried sending this message with RoundCube, but I don't think the attachment was working. Anyway, this patch changes the control-select and shift-select behavior for lists to emulate that of standard windows applications (or at least Outlook and Thunderbird which is what I tested it against). Please give it a try and let me know how it turns out. Also let me know if any further steps need to be taken to have this patch considered for merge into the main code. -Charles

Localization text for folders click

Still some bad special characters display while clicking on folders to display their content. Affecting the text on the upper right "Message from 1 to 3" for example or "Box empty". Bad display for french language during the test for those texts. Someone to help ?

Hi all Got this all installed but when I send an email I get this message. The email is still delivered but not sure what this is saying. Sendmail Error

Hi All I've installed RoundCube on my ISP's webspace because their current webmail system is a very old Horde IMP implimentation which is plain butt ugly and difficult to use. RoundCube is absoluty great and works very well so I access my account the the login. However, when I send an email, it works but I get this error message: Warning: fopen(./logs/sendmail): failed to open stream: Keine Berechtigung in /web/sites/9/sebgate/www.sebgate.f2s.com/roundcube/program/steps/mail/sendmail.inc on line 252 Does this matter? Hi, We are currently changing the charset settings to UTF-8 in general. This is already done in the development version which is available through direct CVS checkout. A new official release will follow soon. If you don't want to fetch the latest CVS version (this also brings some major changes in the database structure) you have to wait for the new release. This should then convert all chars to UTF-8 and solve the encoding problems that version 0.1-20051021 still has. Regards, Thomas Aux wrote: > Hello! Hi everybody These issues are known and there have been some major changes in the localization functions of RoundCube. In the latest CVS version, the default language is taken from the config file and then saved in the user session. If a user changes his/her preferred language, this will be applied right after the login. These changes (together with the Bosnian translation) will be released soon.
