Ok i chmod logs and temp directory to 777 (as i dont have shell access i am on shared hosting) and now i dont have error about the Permision in saving error log to logs/errors. But i still have this error: [10-Nov-2005 03:03:30 -0500] IMAP Error: Authentication failed (LOGIN):<br>"a001 NO LOGIN failed" in on line 0 I downloaded CVS from today 10.11.2005 and before i have RoundCube (20051021) version. Do i need to change anything more or only in main.inc.php to add: $rcmail_config['smtp_user'] = '%u' . '@domain.com'; I did that above and changed the domain.com with my domain but without success. Thnx

I will try this "hack", only one question how to applay dif to index.php in windows xp is there any software that you know (for doing it easy). I will edit this by hand and TextPad but for larger dif thing by hand can be heavy. Thnx

I have the same performance problem!! A mailbox with 1500 messages takes minutes (!) to load. I also get errors like this in the log: [09-Nov-2005 23:07:50] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1024 bytes) in /var/www/roundcube/program/lib/imap.inc on line 1412 I noticed that the identical imap core is used as Ilohamail. But when I'm using Ilohamail, I do not have the performance issues!! This made me wonder, because i want to use RoundCube... When I look in the code, I found this line in function _list_headers (in file program/include/rcube_imap.inc): $a_header_index = iil_C_FetchHeaders($this->conn, $mailbox, "1:$max"); This means it will fetch the complete imap folder in memory! When I changed the line in: $start = $max - 40; $a_header_index = iil_C_FetchHeaders($this->conn, $mailbox, "$start:$max"); This wil only fetch the last 40 messages. Now, all the performance problems are solved! Just in a few seconds I can login, and open messages very quickly! But I guess this will break a lot of functionality, like sorting and pagination..? (I don't know the code that well...) Could this somehow get implemented, so RoundCube works also great with larger mailboxes? (For the record: I'm using Courier-imap as well on the local machine, but I do have good performance with squirrelmail AND server-side sorting) Pieter.

Error connecting to sourceforge's cvs

Hello! Anyone is getting any error when trying to connect to sourceforge's cvs to get the roundcube module? I am getting this error. When I am trying to login with the anonymous user. "cvs [login aborted]: connect to cvs.sourceforge.net(66.35.250.207):2401 failed: Connection refused" -- Daniel Paquet NoKernel.com sysadmin By the way it could be cool to have a signature in roundcube ;)

SQL error with large attachments

I've just installed Roundcube and I am very impressed. But I have noticed one very annoying bug. Whenever I try to open an email message with a large attachment (over ~1Mb) a get a bunch of SQL errors. The text of the message opens fine, but the attachment tries to open as unencoded garbled text. The SQL error messages I get are: DB Error in .../mail/program/include/rcube_db.inc (129): DB Error: unknown error DB Error in .../mail/program/include/rcube_db.inc (204): DB Error: unknown error Query: (created, user_id, session_id, cache_key, data) VALUES (NOW(), ...[and the rest of the message text ...] Is there an easy fix for this, or is it something to do with a SQL limitation? I'm using v0.1-20051021 j.

Feature question - .sig file and new mail notification

Good morning! I just installed Round Cube on my personal mail server two days ago, and already I'm enfatuated with it. Comparing it to the Squirrelmail installation that I've used for the last few years is like night and day, and I have to offer my compliments and my thanks to the people who have written it. There are a few features that I miss, though; specifically automagically including my .sig file and checking the server for new messages periodically. I see that both of these are included in the road map on the web site, but being the impatient soul that I am, I want them now. ;-) Is anyone currently working on either of these features? If not, I would be more than happy to step up and contribute them myself. If no one has objections to me adding these, is there an existing spec for the features, a coding standards doc, etc? Favicon?

Hi all, I think it would be nice to have a default favicon.ico for roundcube. So it's easily to find in ones bookmarks. I'm not good in doing anything grafical, so it would be nice if someone could create it from the RC symbol... I'd be very thankful :-) Thanks, stephan
