Timeout error

I am getting the following error after the installation of RoundCube Webmail 0.1_20051007. This is my first installation. "Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 120 seconds exceeded in /usr/local/datacenter/webs/webmail.robertc.de/html/roundcubemail/program/lib/imap.inc on line 106" Seems that 2 minutes should be more than enough time to do whatever it is trying to do. postgresql problem

Hi, When i perform the command psql -e RoundCube < roundcube/SQL/postgres.initial.sql it gives lots of errors as ALTER TABLE ONLY public.identities DROP CONSTRAINT "$1"; ERROR: relation "public.identities" does not exist probably it hasn't yet created the identities table. But the second time i preform the same command, it passes these ALTER lines cause in the first command it created the tables. After creating the "roundcube" user and changing to config file line in db.inc.php as $rcmail_config['db_dsnw'] = 'pgsql://roundcube:sol@localhost/RoundCube'; When i try to access to index.php from web browser, i got the following error: DB Error in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/roundcube/program/include/rcube_db.inc (124): DB Error: unknown error DB Error in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/roundcube/program/include/rcube_db.inc (210): DB Error: unknown error Query: SELECT vars, ip, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(changed) AS changed FROM session WHERE sess_id='8d81979fa3afc4115dbda6f3db9b54b9' Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/roundcube/program/include/rcube_db.inc on line 202 Where can be the problem? Suggestions, best way to submit patches?

Best webmail project i've seen in a long time. RoundCube has a lot of potential. After first installing it and using it for a couple hours here are my thoughts. (Some of which I would like to help code if no one gets to them before me, but due to my schedule right now it will be a month or 2 before i have time) 1) Ditch the "server" option on the login screen, or at least make it configurable. I don't want people that use my server for mail to have to enter it. A drop down list would be ideal, if we could provide an array in the main config file of servers that are allowed. Though I would be happy with only being able to specify one login server as well. 2) Make the folder list the only thing that scrolls. Fix position the iframes on the right. With very long folder lists (i have well over 800 mail folders) its annoying to have to scroll up and down constantly to see new messages then all the way back down to go the the next folder with mail. 3) Collapse the folders in the folder list, when there are nested folders. Example: inbox folder1 --subfolder1.1 --subfolder1.2 folder2 --subfolder2.1 --subfolder2.2 ----sub.subfolder2.2.1 ----sub.subfolder2.2.2 would become: inbox + folder1 + folder2 Obviously, it should be able to handle all levels of nesting, but by default, when you log in all folders should be collapsed. The hard part looks like it is already done. If you select a top- level folder now it highlights (via a gray bar) all the branches of that node. 4) If there is unread mail in nested folders, it should show that on the root level folder when nested folders are collapsed. Example: Using the above folder-nesting example. Lets assume there is 2 messages in sub.subfolder2.2.1 and 1 message in subfolder2.1. Collapsed it might look notify you that you have 3 new messages like this: inbox + folder1 + folder2 (3) And, obviously that would continue for all levels of nesting: inbox + folder1 folder2 --subfolder2.1 (1) +subfolder2.2 (2) 5) Lastly, signatures. Each account that you should be able to define a signature for each identity .. What's the best way to submit patches to the project? I probably won't have time to seriously look into coding some of these features until late november, but if no one else gets to the first i'd like to submit some patches. RoundCube eats up IMAP connections?

I haven't had a chance to track this down yet but thought I should ask if anyone else is seeing something similiarly. It seems like RoundCube is leaving IMAP connections hanging. I haven't had a problem with SquirrelMail, but using RoundCube appears to eat up the connection pool preventing further connections until restart/timeout. When I can find the time I plan on going over the logs. I'm using Courier-Imap. ~Rob

Hallo Robert, Ich benutze Janaserver. Das ist ein freier Proxyserver mit Mailserver etc. Ich habe den Fehler nur mit neuen E-Mails. also wenn ich diese aufrufen will. Bei mir ist es auch schon in der line 104. denke aber, dass es der gleiche fehler ist. I have all my folders coming off of my INBOX. INBOX INBOX.Sent INBOX.Spam INBOX.Drafts etc. I have the main.inc.php as follows: // only list folders within this path $rcmail_config['imap_root'] = ''; // store sent message is this mailbox // leave blank if sent messages should not be stored $rcmail_config['sent_mbox'] = 'INBOX.Sent'; // move messages to this folder when deleting them // leave blank if they should be deleted directly $rcmail_config['trash_mbox'] = 'INBOX.Trash'; // display these folders separately in the mailbox list $rcmail_config['default_imap_folders'] = array('INBOX', 'INBOX.Drafts', 'INBOX.Sent', 'INBOX.Spam', 'INBOX.Trash'); However, the icons don't appear for the Trash, Sent, etc. If I put INBOX as "only list foloders within this path" it shows up, but I will have no INBOX. Thanks for any advice with this. I just installed roundcube today and got it working in a couple of minutes. Great system! Keep up the great work. Have a blast trying this out. robert.

A layout quirk

I belive this is a layout quirk. When editing, forwarding or replying to the message, the folder listing from the right disappears and gets replaced with the file attachment form. If one decides not to send the message and just jump to another folder, it requires 2 clicks. The appropriate way to do this would be to keep the folder listing where it always is and when someone tries to leave the message editing view, present a prompt to either send a message or save it in drafts. Small Feature Suggestions

These are a just a few small requests that I feel would improve the overall roundcube user experience. I understand you guys are very busy working on core functionality, and don't expect these changes anytime soon (assuming you agree with them), but figured they should be recorded somewhere for future consideration. 1) When you are reading an email message, could it be in a scroll-box like your inbox, instead of the whole webpage scrolling? I think it looks better, is more consistant, and keeps the menus in view. 2) This is just something I noticed today. When selecting emails in the inbox, shift select individual emails, and control does nothing. I know that personally, I'm used to cntl selecting individual emails, and then shift selecting all the emails between the two clicks. Just something to consider. 3) When adding attachments, instead of selecting it in the browser window and then having to hit upload, could it just automatically upload the attachment after selecting it? The extra step seems uncessesary. 4) This is more from a server admin point of view. Is there a setting for the cookie duration? I have noticed that my roundcube login persists for hours, and in an enviroment with public computers, this could be dangerous. It would be nice if we could set this to a 30 minute timeout or something more standard along those lines. 5) When the session does time out, the first time I try to access the email it keeps me in my inbox, and just dislpays the dialog up top with the "session timed out" message. Then, when I try to view a message again, it kicks me out to the login screen. Could this be adjusted so that it just kicks you strait to the login screen when your login has timed out? Rob
